Nothing more satisfying than taking a roadtrip in the us
Stayed at the Cripple Creek KOA( the highest KOA in the world) the night before we rode up Pikes Peak. When we pulled in it was 85 out, but oh my, what a cold night we had in our tent. I had a sleeping bag that was rated down to freezing, but I was layered up in the bag with my jacket over top of that. Managed to knod off, but kept waking up with the cold. Finally got up about 4 in the morning and went to the fortunately heated washroom. It was so toasty in there that I decided to sit up against the wall and sleep in the warmth for a couple of hours. When I returned to the tent in the morning the "frost" was so thick on my bike saddle I could lift it off as a solid curved sheet of ice. Ha, we shoulda stayed down in Colorado Springs instead.
I stayed at Manitou Springs, what a great place to visit after a long day of riding.
Another great video!!
Glad you like them!
Life's most expensive thing achieved !!! A good sounding cruiser and a great scenery. what more u can ask for.
really enjoyed this ride (from both directions)! That gold mine is something else to see. Mixed feelings on what the aftermath of that operation has left behind, but what's done is done! Had a nice stop in each town, but Victor would be my favorite because it's more 'authentic' in it's laid back appeal...
Hey, keep in mind that the aftermath of the gold mine includes the towns of Cripple Creek and Victor, and the livelihoods of many families. I also thought they did a nice job of reclamation along the highway between the towns. Victor is my favorite too, but again Cripple Creek is paying the bills with their own industry ( why is it paying the bills, whether mining or casinos, looks so dirty!?).
Glad to hear from you again, keep the comments coming, and keep watching!
One of my all time favorite runs. I am hoping to get back soon again. be safe shiny side up brother. I usually run it the opposite direction though. I like hanging off the edge lol.
Thanks Aaron, for watching and the comment.
You be safe as well.
Yeah, hanging off the edge😂😵💫😘people go to carnivals to get that scared and shelf is free😃
Great sites... 👍
Yes you are right, Victor is a quiet little town, whereas Cripple Creek has become busier, appealing to the tourists with its modern casinos. Victor would be my choice as well.
Sim, você está certo, Victor é uma cidade pequena e tranquila, enquanto Cripple Creek se tornou mais movimentada, atraindo os turistas com seus cassinos modernos. Victor seria minha escolha também.
Last time I was in Victor must have been over 30 yrs. ago. Looks like a boom town now compared to then.
thanks for posting your videos. I use to live in Green Mountain Falls and Pueblo. I now live in Hawai'i and surely miss my Colorado riding days!
Enjoying this on 10 Degree evening
I use to live in Colorado Springs. I would occasionally go through the mountains to Cripple Creek. It's a beautiful ride. Then, I would return on HWY 67.
Sho Nuff Colorado has some Curvy Mountains yikes! Had dinner at Cripple Creek last week! Was interesting to see Stotefront Casinos? Didnt stay long? Wanted to get back to Canon City before too dark on those Desolate Roads yikes!
Nice video! I've ridden this area before....always fun!
I love this music!!
I love your videos. I have watched many of them. Would like to follow your 36 video westerrn trip some rainy day. I have started watching them on mute. Which is a shame because I love the sound of your pipes. I realize that different folks like different strokes. Some may like the music. I do not. I appreciate your effort and your response to my comment. Keep up living the good life on 2 wheels, and keep sharing it with us. Be well.
+Tom Hubbs Thanks.
I am sorry that you need to mute them. If you have not seen this vid, here is one I did with no music, Spectacular Mono Lake, : czcams.com/video/g2MKbzxj42g/video.html
Also, on my newer vids I am trying to leave longer breaks between music tracks, do a better job on the motorcycle sfx (it's a lot of work) and keep the music much quieter then the motorcycle sound.
I really appreciate your comments and your support,
Thanks,
Robert
Nice Video, I will take Victor over Cripple Creek any day!
Moved to Victor recently and love it here. Very friendly people and low crime. Lots to do around here . Jobs are plentiful. The city is putting in new streets ,and 3rd street business is growing. The mine just got a 20 year expansion "They are still getting a lot of gold out of there". Nice small town atmosphere .Wonderful place to live!
Been there HooRah excellent thank you
Like the music!
Right on!
Ho visto i tuoi filmati , perbacco son stupendi e mi ricordano i miei passaggi e le mie visite. Filmati fatti bene. Grazie.
Thank you for watching and commenting!
I really enjoyed your Video...Dan from Brisbane Australia. I would like to tour the US someday.
danonthegas Glad to hear Dan, and welcome to my channel, I hope you enjoy the ride.
Feel good in all the right places!
great
This is a good video. It's too bad it has the crappy music. One could enjoy the beautiful view, and the sound of the bike.
Love the sound of your pipes. Like your videos but could do without the music.
+Tom Hubbs Thanks for your comment and watching my vids. I appreciate the input about the music. I do hear similar comments from time to time and have been trying to address the concerns that some people have about the music I use.
The production of these vids continues to be a learning curve for me, and I am striving to make something that everyone likes. This particular vid is early on in my productions and after reviewing it just now I have to say that my more recent vids are much improved in overall sound quality and in music/ sfx levels. Please have a watch at some of my more recent vids (Oregon rides are more recent) and let me know if I am getting closer to the balance I need to make everyone happy (Everyone is a tall order that I cannot attain but that I would like to strive for). For several reasons I need to use some music in the vids, but I do want to find a balance that will work for more people.
Also, my 2015 season is drawing to a close, with 3 more vids to be released in the next 3 weeks. Early in 2016 I will begin a new season and you will notice some more sound changes including improvements in sound quality and some new music added to the videos.
I would appreciate your comments on more recent videos. In comparison do you see an improvement regarding the music/sfx balance? When my 2016 season starts let me know your feelings about the new music I add.
Thanks, and looking forward to hearing from you again,
Robert
