    Thku for your video. I just published a series of low content journals and they still indicated in the approval email, the Look Inside the Book was still offered. It was my first-time publishing, I was waiting. I finally inquired and was told about A+ Content. Your video has really helped a lot.

    Ahhhh man I think that sucks that the “look inside” feature is off. But like you said I realized that It didn’t work on mobile . I will check out the A+ content video though .. or just so buyers can get a idea of what’s inside the book you can you maybe leave a video or add pictures to the comment section lol that’s the only way for people to see what’s inside . I know before I purchase I like to see the inside so I always check the comments for reviews and pictures .

    Thanks for this valuable information. Excellent video. Question: I am in the process of publishing a low content book and I got really confused in the category section. I checked the low content box option. But I still could go up and select the two categories (Wine & Spirits and Entertainment both both fit the theme of my book). Can we check the low content box and still select two categories? Or will I get rejected if we do this?

    • @YourChicGeek
      @YourChicGeek  Před 2 lety

      Hello there Mary! From what I've seen yes, you can still tick the low content book box and still add categories to your books as well. I am going to put out a new video that goes through the full process of publishing low and no content books soon. Best of luck!

  • @dread3443

    This may cause me and possibly others to stop publishing on Amazon all together. I’m wondering though if previously issued ISBNs can be reused?

    • @YourChicGeek
      @YourChicGeek  Před 2 lety

      Hey there Andrea! I wouldnt let this news deter you from publishing at all. To be honest, low content books like journals, planners and etc are more like "stationary" instead of books. If anything, I think the news is encouraging as Amazon is acknowledging that low content books are a "thing". You can still publish your books with out an ISBN...you just have to make sure that you mark it as a low content book before publishing. Best of luck! Also something I should have stated in the video is that the free ISBNs that Amazon issued were ONLY for use on their platform anyways. So not much is changing except that you have to make sure to tick the low content book button when you publish new journals, notebooks.

      @YourChicGeek  Před 2 lety

      Hello there! Ive read that some people mentioned that they were missing out on some income from not being able to get access to expanded distribution. I really didnt make much from it as the majority of my sales come from Amazon. So I don't think that its going to have that big of an impact.

  • @GrantGreetings

    I am just going to roll with it. No ISBN for my low content books and I guess I'm going to learn how to add A+ content pages for viewing the inside. Everything is always changing. I'm used to that. Will be buying the ISBN for my children's books and praying I get it back. Probably won't do coloring or puzzle books. Not sure if the profit margin would be worth it.

      Hey there! Sooo you will only need to purchase ISBN's if you are planning to publish your books on different platforms outside of Amazon. Amazon will give you a free ASIN number for your low content books so you will still be good to go.

    Can you comment more on Royalty rate I'm new here and was wondering why it was so low for a book at 6.99

    • @YourChicGeek
      @YourChicGeek  Před 2 lety

      Hello there! So the royalty rate can def be adjusted based on what you want to sell your book for. Amazon takes a 70% cut from your sales from paperback books and you get whats left over out of that since they pretty much do all of the work ie (printing, shipping, packaging your books).
