Did you like the slow sanity drain?
Not for single player, it takes soooo long to get a hunt when you're down to 2-3 ghosts to rule out.
wait how many % per minute exactly is the sanity drain on this challenge?
@@neilgour Doing a full loop around all the wings and the courtyard without sprinting will drop your sanity about 5%ish.
@@neilgour 1.5% per minute (3% in multiplayer). It is awful. Unless you get ghost events to drain sanity, it takes 33.3 minutes to get to 50% in single player.
Hated it, that's what took the most time, squatting in a corner waiting to be hunted 💀💀💀
Honestly, not having the music box as a forced cursed item in an audio-only challenge feels like a huge missed opportunity

I've been watching phasmophobia streams for more than a year and the banshee scream still gives me goosebumps when I hear it.
I had a Revenant, Yurei and The Mimic for this challenge. Didn't mind the sanity drain for this one, although it is slow, it's still manageable for this investigation while figuring out which ghost type you've got by using what information you know and evidence provided. It is a time burner but that allows you to investigate differently than how you're use to, adding to the challenge.
Psycho made this challenge easy again. Sheeesh.
My first ghost, upon traveling across the entire map, made a banshee scream. I have no idea what room it was in. 🤣

I had an obake, goryo and yurei. the slow sanity speed made it incredibly tedious to verify the obake because the last 2 ghosts remaining with the evidence available was obake and raiju, so I sat in the corner of the room (the one on the very end of the hallway on the left which has a spot to hide in the corner) until it finally hunted to find out if it was moving fast or normal speed. I would have relied on the fact a raiju could hunt earlier but I know how the game is with refusing to hunt sometimes. Hunted immediately just after going below 50% at a normal speed.
I definitely had the easier mode playing it with a friend. I had the head cam so after ruling other things out we did a goryo test with me standing just outside of the room with dots there whilst the other person watched from the van. They saw the dots and I didn't so we left.
The yurei was fairly slow too but I had the other person keeping an eye on my sanity after I was getting the feeling it was a yurei and it took forever to use its door slam ability but when it did we verified the 15% sanity drop as well.
All of them we were pretty certain it was the ghost earlier due to ruling other ones out (like the banshee not hunting after I dropped below 50% but average was much higher)
The RNG for this challenge had it out for me; I got a Shade, a Jinn (couldn't figure that one out), another Shade, and then it took mercy on me and gave me a Yurei that about ripped the door off its hinges
You knew it was a Spirit on hunt 2 because a Moroi would have drained your sanity after hearing it on Spirit Box/Parabolic.
I had a moroi, it still took about 20+ minutes of sitting in the dark to get hunted after getting spirit box and paramic responses.
Bingo. I knew someone was going to inform Psycho about that missed elimination as him still being at 85% well after the spirit box talking the Moroi would have slammed his sanity. So Moroi was already off the table.
this is the only challenge i didnt want to do this week but i need the money ugh. seeing how you do it gives me a bit more confidence tho!
Ghost 1. Got the funny door touch sound. It was Yurei.
Ghost 2. Ghost Writing, Never got Spirit Box. I noticed that the ghost stopped doing things while I was using the Spirit Box. It was Shade.
Ghost 3. Got the Spirit Box, It throws the writing book and I never saw D.O.T.S. It used the demon ability and then acted like a shade. The Mimic.
Ghost 4. Saw D.O.T.S, never got Spirit box. When it finally hunted, it was electronics fast. Raiju.
Friend got the ghost wrong on #3.
4:20 I thought that it was impossible for the Sunny Meadows and highschool corridors to be the ghost room.
In all my time of playing this game I've only had Sunny Meadows hallway once as a ghost room. It's not optimal ^^
It is impossible, it was hanging out in the hallway (where he was) because it was banshee.
I think they didnt care about sunny meadows hallways 🤪
demon polti demon, first 2 were close to the entrance, the last we never even found the ghost room, never saw the ghost or heard it, but it was hunting, never found us with paramics and torches on. Went to the van saw our sanity was at 80, obv demon. lmao
First 3 games -
Poltergeist, Demon, Phantom
all 3 guessed correctly, even survived a demon in the hospital wing using ability to hunt at 89% sanity
(that's not even how I identified it lol) ruled out EMF5 orbs and spirit box to identify the demon

Man, I bought yesterday my IEMs and we have Audio only challenge... What a coincidence! Moreover, all 3 times I had No Spirit Box and Writing. Myling, Shade and Demon all guessed correctly.
I got Yokai/Thaye/Hantu.
Really important to bring spirit box early to rule it out before hitting the Yokai hunt threshold.
I failed a jinn, then got a myling, then goryo, then failed an obake and then finally got el mimo. The only hunt i got was from el mimo. The others just took too long so i guessed using the evidence i got. They shud increase sanity drain for this challenge tbh
I had a 50/50 Moroi and Deo and was lije"this has to be Moroi" but with the slow drain I went with Deo and lost my ¹st match for this weekly TT^TT
The lack of cursed possession makes this challenge a little boring on single player when you're trying to drain your sanity to get a hunt.
First ghost I had came down to raiju vs oni, luckily I got a ghost event to walk into that only drained my sanity 10% - raiju.
Second ghost was down to goryo vs obake vs jinn, had to wait for ages for the hunt. No shapeshift, 50/50'd the goryo correctly.
Final ghost was moroi vs poltergeist vs spirit, had to wait for the hunt and it was slow.
I got my first try but after that it took me about 3 hrs to get the other two. Missed a jinn and goryo, but finally got a wraith and onryo

ITs the most terrible challenge, I tried to get it for 2.5 hours. U should wait for 30 mins for dropping your sanity to 50% for the hunt
