The subtle Verge burn 😏
;)
Hardly subtle
@Preston Garvey and you also need an wireless anti static bracelet
We all went there… I don’t think the verge ever dare go there again…
Wow, you make the installation look super easy, barely an inconvenience!
That installation was tight.
You’ve managed to entertain while educating on how to install a water block. Good job, sir!
Followed this video to fit block to my palit 3090 yesterday, was super easy, block looks great. Temps arround 37c in furmark. Love it.
before wblock how much temps?
@@sferebbasta5940 no idea I put the block on it first.
@@sferebbasta5940 I have about 66-67 °C
In GPUZ, what's your perfcap reason? With the OE cooler, it's thermal throttled by the ram on the back of the card. This cooler doesn't seem to address that.
@@mikebroom1866 yeah this is the same reason I am watching thus video. The ram on the back of the 3090 seems to get little attention though I hear the ekwb for the 3090 does address this.
Thanks for this guide. I have the Palit and it helped seeing the same card to do the EKWB. No one else seems to have fitted one yet!
This video made me finally decide to start saving up to water cool my whole system. Definitely will go with a alphacool waterblock, the kitten convinced me
The video is really great.
This look both affordable and easy to install, that's great.
Love this setup guide, just got a block for my msi gaming x trio 3080 and this was like super useful
the safest place for the screws is attatched to the original heatsink after it's removal.
thumbs up for giving the dimensions of the thermalpads in the manual to everybody for easy replacement!
Great work guys!
Many thanks now I know for my first waterblock in my life how to fix it 😁
Cant wait for the Eiswolf version of this!
this looks like easy fun!
I’ve literally just purchased your Water block for 3080/3090 gaming/eagle for the gigabyte 3080 Ti gaming oc , it’s the first time doing a custom loop, and Alpha Cool was the number one block everyone told me to get, I’m so looking forward to it, but slightly nervous too 👍
What worries me is the fact that in their compatibility list is stated : ”compatibility approved - visual” for Gigabyte Gaming OC 3080Ti. Did you fitted the waterblock, if so... there are any issues? Thanks
Great video btw, really helpful! Thank you
Awesome. Perfect Tutorial for my Palit GamingPro :D
Thank you for the video and the cooling block for rtx 3090 extreme❤️😍
This was a great video.
I`m very happy to see that Palit is using the expensive capacitors on the back (all the crashing mess that was reported recently) I was worried that my Gaming Pro 3090 that will arrive in a few days was using only cheap capacitors and was gonna cause crashes
Had this for over a week, may be waiting months for my 3080
Got a like from me for the Verge 🔥
i ordered the asus tuf one for my 3080 hopefully it ships soon cant wait
that voice 😁 nice video Dave! ❤️
Good vid, thanks.
I bought this set up today I think.. 500ish all in lol. Crazy stuff.
great clear concise vid... there are competitors who ship their cards... with chinese instructions...for a cpu block. its basic things like that, that make it worth it to pay whatever few bucks the difference is between quality and sketchy products.
Bit of advice as the screws may be different lengths, i screw them back into the cooler/backplate
Haha i see what you tried to create the flow of water is in form of alpha.. 😂 🙌👏
Amazing looking wtarblock;)
Is there no single slot bracket at all aviable for your blocks?
I've got the exact same question!! Need one for the RTX3090FE!
No, we dont have brackets for those blocks.
I'm pretty sure he just ripped out a terminal as he was telling us to be careful of avoiding that. The white terminal around 4:20 comes right up off the board in the video.
He also put the block on the die with a hair on it, guaranteeing an uneven spread of thermal paste.
You are both correct! It is why I mention being careful as on that particular connector, nothing is holding it to the PCB. usually there are clips, or pcb mounts holding it in, but this is just push fit with the terminals. It is just the nature of the beast.
The whole card and block was dismantled and reassembled off camera to get rid of the hairs and correct the 3 mistakes that were made (although I don't think anyone has spotted the third yet!)
The problem with doing things on camera close up like this in 4k is that I have 2 light stands, and a camera in the area I need to stand. I can only see things through the camera display with the Sony A7III as well as whilst shooting in 4k, it doesn't output to a secondary monitor so it is tricky.

To put your mind at ease though (and everyone else) there is the block installed still, with the connector attached as good as new :)
@@AlphacoolGmbH classy reply.
@@AlphacoolGmbH Was it the 2 stock thermal pads stuck on to the block? If not that, then was there a missing clear washer or the black nut at the end of the video? I replayed it and couldn't see what the third one was!
Edit: Any chance you can show the block with the aRGB turned on?
@@AlphacoolGmbH Now this is how a company should behave yes we all make mistakes and its ok as long as we accept that and try to correct them..
unlike some..
looks sick! I have Alienware R12 with 3080ti looking for a water cooling solution. Not enough space, willing to do pull radiator outside, just need a guide on how to - the waterblock install looks very easy, I wish you had a guide on full setup of water-cooling with tubes and everything :(
I have this block. The backplate gets very hot
But my Swiss champ has a Philips head oh wait I see what just happened:p
Guys when are your 3090FE waterblock out in UK????
Way better than the previous videos with that skinny dude and that strong German accent smashing the reservoir around and talking nonsense about the pumps... Well done! Great improvement on the product videos!
10:42 nice looking Guy ! Hah! yeah nice easteregg.
Could you please to this tutorial for the 3090 FE block?
I think a carbon fibre backplate would look really nice with this waterblock.
While it would look stunning I am sure i am unsure of thermal conductivity would be as good as aluminium.
PLS make an WB for MSI 3090 Ventus, too.
In work, presale will start this week.
What is the thermal pad thickness of the backplate? I lost 1 piece. Thanks.
Can you do a video for the 3080 FE block?
I see that the EVGA 3080 XC3 Ultra is listed as compatible. Is the included blackplate still used or do we use the stock EVGA backplate during install? Thanks for the video!
I have this Palit card, what temps difference can I expect with this AIO?
With your block what sort of memory die temperature we can expect ?
Hey im swiss, i use my army knife for everything! I also watercool my PC with fondue🇨🇭
Great im German i use Beer
@@hatzenlp9776 i did smelted chocolate :), also swiss, its a rly sweeeeet build
Any info on how this performs in different rad setups? Interested to see what happens on an with this in an lt240 setup.
Hello, could you please measure and let me know what the spacing of the mounting holes is on these cards? The screws you're putting in at 7:50 please. You could even just measure the backplate
Hi Alphacool...when will your Zotac 3070 Twin Edge block be available? Performance PCs says 3rd or 4th week of January, but here it is February.
I would really love to see a waterblock manufacturer making a block that also cools the back of the PCB. Perhaps it will happend with the incomming 3080 20GB DRR6X versión.
Aquacomputer has a heatpipe going to the backplate, although the design is not my cup of tea.
@@Kokinkun 🤔 didn't know about that, perhaps a single heatpipe can be just enouhg, surely its better that only a backplate, although a direct coper plate with fins over the back of the DIE and the back of the VRM would be ideal. But ss i said, im very curious to see what waterblock manufacturers come up with 😋
czcams.com/video/lo9r0jC6yzo/video.html
its close, although I don't like the push fittings and the reducers.
@@mr.not.so.perfect.666 its a good idea to make kit compatible with all backplates, but i also think that theese small fittings are a bit a mess, i'd like to see a better solution. Btw i created my own watercooled backplate.
Can you tell me the name of your screw tools kit?
Is this applicable to all 3080/3090 card? The design layout of the board is exactly the same across all brands? I am trying to use this on the new Alienware R12 3090
Never seen someone put a pad on the middle chips on the backplate, is that safe?
Does the backplate do enough to reduce the memory overheating issue on tbe 3090 fe? I had an older alphacool gpx Pro and the who block was a large aggressive heat sink. Not that pretty but worked very well. I'm wondering if these more.pretty simple and flat back plates cover the needs of cooling the RAM on the back of the 3090.
I bought this cooler and wanted to install it but there is one screwhole missing by the big 4 one in the middle shouldnt be normal right?
what are the input and output holes for the water pump?
Hey @alphacool intermational GmbH can you tell us the new card length? The Block does decrease the length significantly.
I don't habe that much place in my case and plan on building a rtx3080 custom loop. Knowing the card length with watercooling would help me a lot.
Is there a particular pump I need or does it come with the block?
I lost those clear washers. Do they affect the temp? If yes, where can I buy those washers? Thx.
Are you guys going to be making a 3070 video?
So the reference design doesn't use a leaf spring?
Are those countersunk screws in the plexiglass?
I mean just a tad overtightening will crack it right?
bought one for my rtx 3080 amp holo!!
Is it planned to have prefilled addin waterblocks fpr the rtx 30 series for your eisbaer ecosystem? I don't feel compfortable with manually filling stuff and so on (worried i might not tighten somethibg enough or too much causing damage or leaks) but would love to add the 3070 i will buy around christmas or late january (hopefully xD) into the loop to have even better gpu temps and less noise.
Alphacool will you be replacing XC3 buyers reference 3080 waterblocks with XC3 variants? The block is not compatible and does not cool the VRM's properly, it is not compatible eventhough it was advertised that it was
We need Single-Slot or at least Dual-Slot-Brackets for RTX3090FE please!
what is the small pad, on the GPU side, covering ? The one labeled number 4 (8x8x1mm) in the manual ?
Does this fit the Dell Alienware 3080? The one in the R11??
Disappointed in alphacool and backordering a preorder ugh! Switching to ekwb!
dude you actually pulled out one of the sockets with the cable lmao, all while telling people not to do that xD
FYI - you had a cat hair between your cold plate and the GPU (you can see it at 6:15, 7:22 directly in the middle of the cold plate area.. You may want to add that people check the cold plate is clear of all debris before dropping the GPU onto the cold plate.
That cat hair is a feature.... the performance will increase a lot with it. Trust me, i have two cats and i always put some hairs on my CPUs and GPUs for a better performance. The smell is also great under full load.
Yeah, you are of course right... the cold plate should be alwayse clear and clean :-)
Is it okay, that the white pads on the backplate (middle) doesn't cover the whole electric parts there? 8:40
Is the thermal paste sticky or is it coming of easily?
Can you use liquid metal on these?
Is it a single slot card with the waterblock installed?
so can i buy this and everything else from corsair and stuff ?
the asus tuf variant is that a full copper plate? in the pictures it looks as so?
so how does your AIO kit address the Ram on the backside of the zotac rtx 3090 Reference board?
Now I need only a 3080 and this waterblock xP
i feel you 🙁
Exist some terminal rotary 90 degrees compatible with this waterblock?
On the screw is warranty decal. So..we lose quaratie with this??
How thick is the waterblock with the PCB installed, 26mm?
What parts do you need other than the Nexxxos ST30 and the waterblock in order to complete an GPU AIO?
I mean its nice BUT my backplate thermal pads are not making good contact on my 3070 block with the PCB.
What are the screw driver sizes?
Is this the same for the aio version?
do you know if this fits the Dell 3090's
Block looks amazing. Was gonna go EK but now I think I wana get this. Do you do silver back plates to match my silver alphacool rads?
Ek = horrible quality
@@MrKZdemos EK is definitely overpriced, quality is usually pretty good though
@@MachuPichuu second this. Phanteks blocks are the highest quality and best looks imho. EK is usually a good middle ground but they're pricing their 3080 blocks is a bit high
at the moment we don't do silver backplates, we might do them in the future though. :)
are your products as in toto kits available in india?
Do they same the same waterblock the 3080 and 3090? Or are the model specific?
Couldn’t you pre apply the thermal pads? If why, why not?
The heat conduction pads that can be pre-glued are not ultra soft pads and are therefore much less powerful. Since the pads are now pre-cut by us, it should not be a problem to put a few pads on the card.
these blocks can be used with ek cpu blocks/radiators etc right? ek does not make blocks for my particular 3070 but alphacool does.
What gpu junction temp do you get while mining?
Fits this also on the MSI 3080TIT ventus X Suprim?
This will be my first custom GPU cooling solution, what else (except thermal grease and 240mm prefilled radiator do I need) Pump? Which one should I get for this block and 240mm prefilled radiator.
do they fit the ti models?
Hi, i am trying to confirm if this will fit my ZT-A30800F-10P because in the alphacool compatibility pdf the pricture of the card is actually different than the actual card
Why didn't you finish showing the assembly of the hoses and the pump?
What thermal conductivity is the thermal pads? And will liquid metal work the water block with the 6800 XT Gaming X Trio?
