Hey Jimmy stick with the new valve cover gasket the blue one is neoprene which is more oil resistant than rubber and creates a better seal the only reason that Honda don’t supply them is expense and why you only get them on high end performance cars as OEM. Good luck with the rest of the build 😀👍

Pull type clutches are the optimal style clutch especially for cold starting as they do not apply anywhere near the thrush pressures to the engine bearings as a push style clutch 👍👍

for those who want a similar project, inline pro also sells a flywheel spacer, could have use the flywheel spacer with oem s2000 flywheel. Honda use the same flywheel bolt pattern for MANY ENGINES! for my j32 to s2000 trans i used their parts

Motion pro makes a dowel tool for motorcycle cases, depending on diameter it might work for you, also tossing a bolt in the dowel when you squish it will sometimes help give you the surface area of the bolt head to grip down on
I love the old school look of the skunk 2 valve cover. Definitely makes it look more era specific
For removing dowels like that wind a tap into it and it'll grab and wind out. Doesn't damage the outside of it at all so it can be re-used
its always a good vibe watching your content whatvever it is.
For good consistent can pressure keep spray cans in a big tub of hot tap water. You'll be amazed how much better it works.

Put a snug fitting drill bit inside the dowels before clamping it with pliers or molegrips. Stops them from collapsing on themselves. 👍🏽

Regarding dowel removal - tap a thread into it and pull them out with a sliding hammer. But yeah, vice grips work too.
yeah, or just insert a backside of a drill bit in the right size and then use the vice grips. It provents it from being crushed

Buy some material and have spoon make a table on wheels atleast, not even necessarily a table jack. Wood blocks on a table can get it level enough and if it was on 4 casters, you can move it to wherever you need it
Best one I learned from tiktok was tapping the down and then just threading in a slide hammer.
Trick of the trade, put a drill bit shank side in the middle of the dowel then grab it with the vice grips and it’ll come out sweet also love the build

I learned from an old machine shop guy to find a socket the fits in the dowel and then hit it with the vise grips and it won’t collapse the dowel
