Does this work with steel without damaging it?
Wow

Didn’t quite catch the name of the product. What is it? Aluminum friendly?
It is aluminum friendly. It's called rust remover
It's called Whink Rust Stain Remover. You can find it at most department or grocery stores
Could I do this with a Leatherman juice? The scales can't get of. So I would have to put the whole multitool in it.
It may have undesirable effects on the blades/tools. Use your own discretion on this, I can't tell you yes or no.
Want to make a black anodized trigger for a gun silver. It has a 3D printed poly (plastic type part.?.Dk exactly)in the middle held together with a steel roll pin. Would I need to disassemble or be ok to drop whole thing in ? Don’t want to remove any metal or mess with the tolerances at all. What do you think?thank you.
I wouldn't dump any plastic in there. Also, the sides of the trigger should be machined already where it contacts the gun. So that tolerance wouldn't change.
Just a heads up. I've let my part sit in this for hours now and it will not remove the anodized coat...so...
Either your rust remover is old, and has lost it's potency has been used before or the part has a super thick coating. if the fluid isn't changing to the color of the part then it's likely NOT anodize coating.
@AwesomeFinish fluid is new, picked it up today. What kind of coating do you think it would be?

Thanks for watching!! Make sure you like and subscribe and please check out our other videos!!
Does this affect thread size after you leave it there for few minutes? Or is it safe
There are no threads in this pulley. And generally anodizing is done before final machining and bolt holes are tapped so it's a non issue.
@@AwesomeFinish can i use caustic soda ? i want to restore airsoft gun slide color, thanks
How do you dispose of the acid safely
Follow your local disposal guidelines for chemicals.
Any alternative? Can i use HCL?
Yes you can
