43 years I'm listening The Cure. It was my first concert in Marseille (France) in 79. I was 17 (seconds !). Still the same voice
Yeah it's phenomenal that Robert has the same voice for 40 years.

I closed my eyes and it brought me back to the 90s when I was in high school. I’m now 48 years old been listening for over 30 years. He sounds amazing and It shows he cares for his fans to give 100% to us.

Thanks for posting. The Cure always had a strange combination of sadness and an aged loss, combined with a childish sense of wonder. I think that is part of what makes them muscially timeless.
I agree. The Cure is not meant for the average people who just come to see the hits. I can tell you that some people left in the middle because they came for the hits which were far by the end of the show.
Agreed. You come here for emotion. I tear up at almost all their songs. I really *feel* The Cure's music. Maybe that's the same for other people with all music, but it is particularly the case for me with Robert Smith's words, voice and their distinctive sound. Take Pictures of You - my heart breaks when I listen to it.

@@mlueva1 Yes some left. You can see sometimes people leaving, passing in front of the camera maybe beause the Greatest Hits were at the far end of the show.

This is might also be one of the longest show in The Cure history.
@@jugglingbeast Hey Juggling Beast, maybe this was the longest in this tour. They usually play around 3h, and their longest was in Mexico in 2013 which lasted for 4h16 :) (I think it's in 2nd place for the longest show in history...)
Anyway it's not about the quantity, but Its so impressive that after all these years the can still perform like this and always respect their fans with a proper long show.

I more impressed that Robert is in his sixties and still gives around 3h show while other artists at his age are doing half the time.
Robert alone is what bands like Pink Floyd will never be.
But the setlist aint same in every concert,..it fluktuates,..i mean,..this tour i saw in berlin,.and day before in leipzig setlist was different,.

I'm so jealous. Doubt they'll tour USA any time soon so thanks for posting this. Absolutely love this music! I have seen them in so many venues since 1988 & they NEVER disappoint.
I have the same problem with bands which are touring mostly in USA.
Been a fan since jr high school mid eighties, Probably right Robert won't come to the us soon, things are just too 🤣 crazy here at the moment.

Thank you so much for sharing this - wonderful sound! I’ve been listening to them from the beginning and attended many early shows in the 80’s and some in the 90’s. Roberts singing is phenomenal and everyone is great. Wish I could have been there. Hope they come to the US.

I love "Cold". It's one of the songs, thats so iconic for Roberts voice. On par with "Shake Dog Shake", "Kiss me, kiss me, kiss me" and "One hundred years" (and of course, many others. But the mentioned are my favs)

wow, thanks, I watched the Budapest show from an almost identical angle!
I was on the 2nd highest tribune and I didn't know how or if it will be any good. In the end it turned out ok.
@@jugglingbeast I was also afraid the sound being "bad" so much on the side, but honestly, it sounded as one of the best concerts, very solid and clear. Didn't regret picking up the tickets in the last minute!

@@jugglingbeast Concert was fantastic. It is a beautiful city with amazing food. Only criticism was that we were nervous about getting home. The Unipol Arena is out of town and if the last public bus has gone there will be no getting home by walking.

@@jugglingbeast We left the concert early at the start of the second encore. We could not risk missing not making one of the buses as I had to get a university assignment in the next morning.
I'm so excited to finally see them at Madison Square Garden this June. Been waiting a long time...
