This is so golden! He certainly rips open every wound and bleeds for all of us. Few artists can... but I can't think of any other band that reaches those dark places in me I never expose to the everyday person, like The Cure does.

On a le même âge et on a très certainement vécu les mêmes expériences adolescentes en écoutant The Cure dans les années 80. Cela dit, j'ai une relation en dents de scie avec le groupe. J'adore et continue d'écouter certains albums avec toujours la même émotion, mais je ne suis pas fan de tout ce qu'ils ont fait. J'avais été déçu par le côté "fourre tout" de Kiss Me, dont certaines chansons m'avaient laissé indifférent. Idem avec Wild Mood Swings et du coup je les ai lâchés dans les 90's. Mes goûts musicaux se sont élargis. Au final, Robert et ses différents acolytes m'ont accompagné pendant cette période charnière qu'est l'adolescence et j'en ai été profondément marqué. Même si je ne suis pas en admiration face de tout ce qu'ils ont fait, l'écriture et la personnalité de Robert Smith m'ont et continue de me toucher. J'aime aussi The Cure pour le fait qu'ils aient su rester des mecs simples et honnêtes, sans se soucier des tendances et du succès. Je me sens incroyablement proche de la personnalité et de la sensibilité de RS, de ses prises de positions, de sa philosophie de vie. J'ai l'impression de le connaître personnellement et je pense que c'est ce que ressentent beaucoup de fans du groupe. Il aura finalement été un peu comme un grand frère. Aujourd'hui, j'attends Songs of A Lost World avec impatience ! Le titre Endsong, découvert récemment pendant cette nouvelle tournée, m'a bouleversé.
