It’s incredible how five old men can put the whole modern music industry to shame.
They may be old but their music is timeless 🤷
😂😂😂😂shut up, you're cringe
😂😂😂 that’s because they are true talent…. Youth today needs to get back to practicing and using GOD given talent (not electronic and AUTO TUNE)
Indeed!!!!
@@princessi8758god doesn’t exist and there’s no such thing as “god given talent” it takes years to learn how to compose and create music.
These people have no idea how blessed they were to see this live.
@@CC-vw1nd does anyone know why they choose not to play this song live? Just wondering. It’s such an incredible song that touched a lot of people

It's too bad i didn't know the early 90's was going to be the best time of my life..
Someone I work with was there, but they went to a different stage, I no longer talk to said person!!!
Exactly what i was thinking! I was singing to it (here on youtube) while they were standing there clueless, witnessing it live. Rare live performance of the best song from the Crow's OST.
This is such an underrated song by The Cure. It should be right up there with some of their best works.
Une des plus belles !
👌
Great song
Its not underrated at all
Я тоже так считаю - это шедевр ❤
This mans voice has not changed
Just commented this 😹
Right he sounds incredible
Still sounds like a boy. Sublime
I think it has…In a good way though
How on god's earth does he still sound amazing

I was just thinking the same thing. Perfect!
And I'm going to see them next month 😍
@@rehanacallaghan629 saw them a few years ago, it was amazing 💯💯💯
I think about Brandon Lee every time I listen to this song
The Crow forever
Same.
Walter Jarquin
That is sad saying that
It's hard for me to hear this without thinking about him and in turn, The Crow. The soundtrack and in particular this song captured the dark, desperate and beautiful world that the movie projected and in turn the tragedy that surrounds it in fiction and reality. RIP Brandon Lee
R.i.p. Brandon Lee
I'm 47 years old, saw the crow on release at the cinema, still get goose bumps when I hear this
I'm 45 and I saw the Crow when it came out too! I still love this song.

Tears of sadness and happiness coming out. Thank you, The Cure. Thank you, Brandon Lee. Thank you, James O'Barr. 🖤
you said it mate!
Some songs are emotional for me and Robert brings tears to my eyes, and I just discovered them this month, April 2024!
They're so polished. Tightest live band around and Roberts voice is untouched in 40yrs. I'm late to the Cure party, but I adore them. National treasures.
I'm a 2nd generation cure fan,it got drummed into me by my old man..good music never grows old
It’s called auto tune bro. It’s not his real voice anymore. No one can be untouched for so long. Trust. Age always catches up
@@yeekle8799 you think that’s autotune? Think before you speak, cuz you sound like a moron.
@@yeekle8799 auto tune? Lmao you have no idea what you’re talking about. You act like the cure songs are extremely straining on his vocal cords (they’re not), so him sounding like this, at this age, isn’t that shocking.

I'm 56 going to see them in Dec in Birmingham.
With my twin boys.
Who are 19 and they got into cure.when they started collage 😄
What a memory this will be for me😃
My husband died when we were in our twenties two months after I gave birth to our twin boys. This song reminds me of us and how much I miss him

That's so sad. ❤
I still burn for him everyday
On One day The crow will gets u to the him and yours Soul gonna be together. again

This crowd don’t know how lucky they are
Saw them live last week in Belgium, Amazing
I sort of understand. At Manchester Arena it was a bit like that. Until the poppy songs were played majority of the crowd were bewildered. Seen them at Pilton in1990 and playing on Saturday at possibly the peak of popularity wasn't half as good as this. No auto tune or back up singer's or dancers etc. I wish they'd done a Pornography set, that would have really screwed with the audience! 😉
i bet a good portion of them do
I seriously doubt it. Some of them have been waiting a lifetime for this.
There were loads leaving the crowd but I knew it was going to be special. More fool them for not hanging around. When burn played I had tears in my eyes at how amazing it sounded.
One of the Cure’s best songs ! Perfectly tailored for the Crow : romantic, eerie and full of rage 💋🔥
They wrote it for the film, the director is a massive cure fan
Read the comic! And then listen to the song afterwards. Doesn’t take long. Just a little bit before you sleep.
my jaw dropped after being shaken by the comic and then listening to this song that I’ve listened to for years.. I think I actually teared up.. the comic is online for free just search for it.
The Crow is such an incredible movie.
Had a profound effect on me, first time I saw it when I was around 12 or so...

The drummer gives a tremendous performance.
The Cure's rhythm section is god tier.
The drummer earned his money on this song.
Love the drumming...it is so intoxicating, I play it everyday
Great that Jason gets some love. Great drummer. If he'd been drumming with the Cure during their peak, he'd be worshipped just like Boris.
Was thinking the same thing. For a minute there, I thought that Boris "Clock" Williams had rejoined the band. I even checked their Wikipedia page to confirm. He absolutely nailed it.
He got paid for sure :)
and bassist too
No frills, no dancers, no bloody miming, just guys playing their marvellous music.
My god to ever be able to hear this live. That crowd doesnt seem to understand how special and unprecidented this is. They dont play Burn live for Brandons memory. Id have been bawiling as a grown man. My fav film all my life and its best song by one of my fav bands of all time. Life changing performance im sure
But if they "Don't" play it live, 🧐 Glastonbury??

Simply Always Fantastic.
The Cure are hands down one of the best live bands I’ve witnessed. They always play a long set, they play hits and deep album cuts, and they nail their performance every time. Incredible show always.
Dead Can Dance is #1. Cure is absolutely assuredly #2.
Completely agree! Just saw them live and they were amazing!
I look at this young people in the crowd and I wonder, if they could ever understand the thrill that was to listen to this song for the very first time when the movie The Crow was released. How it impacted our lives, the news about Brandon Lee´s death, how we all gathered in groups with painted faces and dressed in black...there is real nostalgia here, a bitter sweet feeling of youth long gone, innocence and darkness perfectly aligned.
you readed my mind man
Out of respect for Brandon, they didn't do this song live for like 20 years. I also wonder if the audience understands the gravity of this to certain fans
@@jasonwillett2126 I was not aware of that story, thank you for sharing.

Brilliant and his voice hasn't changed with age
I dare say he's gotten better?

Couldn’t tell you a thing about The Cure but this is one of the most amazing performances I’ve ever seen.
There's no substitute for genius, you can't fake it. This is perfection. Extraordinary.
How can a band sound that good live ? Tremendous performance by The Cure. Wow.
I've seen them several times. They always sound this good in concert. If you get the chance, see them live.
It took seven (!) people to make that sound onstage.
I can honestly say, that was one of the best live performances of any band, i've ever witnessed
No substitute for experience and the relaxed cohesion that it brings band members.
Totally professional musicians.
I couldnot agree more one of the best concerts, being fortunate to have seen them many times in the early years. I wish they put the whole concert Glastonburry on YT again.
Marcel De Hoogd There should also be the In Orange masters available either on DVD or CZcams
100 percent. Saw them a few years ago and it transcended from live music into some sort of spiritual experience, as cliche and hokey as that sounds. They were so incredible. Seeing then in May and I can’t wait.

The King of Kings.
I went to see The Crow in 1994 just to hear this song. I never thought they would play it live, then in 2013 they played it Live for the first time in New Orleans. I was lucky to see them play it on their 2016 tour of the US. Such a great song, and a great movie. What's interesting about the song is Robert was a fan of the comic book, The Crow, so when he was asked to do a song for the movie he wrote the song specifically for the movie. None of the other songs in the movie were specifically written for it. The soundtrack is killer nonetheless.
Possibly the best soundtrack ever as bad as the second movie was the soundtrack for that was sick too
One of the most masterful songs by the Cure, the drum beat throughout this is amazing and it continues to increase through the song.
The drums....The Voice... WOW...
Yet so many still slag Jason off. He's a great drummer and I can't see who people would prefer? Boris is long gone and Lol was OK for simple stuff. Only thing I would say is Jason sound changed when he changed manufacturer. The other thing is, Robert decides on click tracks, gating etc. I personally hate Push when that awful gate crash is used but its Robert who decides ultimately. This Glastonbury was possibly the best ever live mix I've heard of the Cure since Concert Cure album which had no overdubs and used the old Manor Mobile for recording. Fantastic stuff.
