  • Come check this New Van and listen to my "as I see it" opinions on it. Looking forward to spending some time getting it setup with a great fit out. Draws and Storage for use by a Carpenter or other trades person. Come see how the new Barn Doors Operate.
    Build on Legends.

    Having the ability to put a pallet is good, but if you fit yours out with shelving, then there will be no room for a pallet, so really would have been better with the lift -up option to keep the rain off.

      Actually, needed to stick a pallet in the other day. Worked a treat. But I see your point about the cover. Might be another topic for an As I See it.

    the pallet/forklift ability was the reason we bought the barn door option :)

    I used to have a Hiace van mate. Every time it was raining, I always reversed straight into customer garage 😄

    Lift up door makes more sense for tradie

      Yer I honestly thought the same. But the barn doors have grown on me. Certainly came in handy afew times to only have to open one small door for access.

      @midlifecarpentry definitely easy for quick access, only use them in my courier business.
      But to work out of your van as a tradie and to walk around the barn doors open are a pain. Let alone missing the shelter a lift up provides.

    Having a currently empty van, have you had any issues with traction? My 200 series is an absolute mess with nothing in it, can't get over wet grass, wheels spin reversing up a hill, etc. Am curious if the 300 series are much better in that regard.

      Crossed my mind a few times. Guess its out there these days. Was thinking of some stickers on the back window anyways. 😊

    • @midlifecarpentry

      Not on this model. But pretty dam sure the SLWB model allows pallet through the side door.

    Top review mate, looks like a beast. What's the towing capacity on them? Was your pooch backing one out in the early stages of your video lol. As they say never work with dogs and children. Buy some of those canvas seat covers, they've saved my Hilux from a lot of seat damage (unsure of the name I bought) but TJM Cairns sell them.

    • @midlifecarpentry
      @midlifecarpentry  Před rokem +1

      1900KG towing on them. So nothing to crazy. Suitably impressed with what it can fit in it though, had 2700x1200 plasterboard sheets in the back the other day. Flat and out of the weather. HAHAHA Yer and Ryder was doing the business in the back. Wanted to keep it there for a laugh.

      I have the 2021 model with a Frontline camper conversion. Weight is close to the GVM of 3200kgs(i think). We get combined 9.6 l/100kms. Pretty good, I thought.
