That's great news. Even back in the early 1970's it was AstroTurf. Football was meant to be played on grass.
I follow you great job! Also grass is long over due. We have had way too many injuries on turf. Good move by the Huskers!

This is fantastic news. Im so sick of losing top players with blown out knees in practices, spring games and games all the way back to TO teams.. Good riddance.
We can also take a page out of my old high schools playbook. When a faster team comes to play, you grow that grass so it’s knee high

Changing to grass and changing to the other sideline for home games are both huge. I never understood why the Huskers would sit on the side that the sun was in Osbourne's eyes and the temp must have been 15° warmer than the shady side.

This doesn't sound like that big of announcement. I always liked regular grass. I thought the new turf was better, but the injury stats on grass vs. turf is mind-blowing. Plus, the 2 knee injuries in the spring game, they can't get this done soon enough.

Grass gave our players an advantage in speed and better playing result? It will give the opposing team the same advantage as well. With turf u don’t have to worry about filling in a big bare spot when the grass dies or eat up from playing conditions
Well with natural grass you have less worry about injury that trumps everything

Good. Turf is ruining peoples careers. If I’m not mistaken the nfl is going all grass by 2026
