I love that the will to fight skipped a generation and went directly to Pan. Pan was my favorite character as a kid because I always wanted to see a female super saiyan! Also as a girl who loved DBZ it was annoying that all the female characters stopped fighting. I’m so glad Pan is getting more shine because she was always so dope to me and it always pissed me off she couldn’t go super saiyan in DBGT. It felt like sexism to me especially when her grandkids went super saiyan effortlessly. I remember googling and people being like “Pan can’t go super because she has more human DNA than saiyan” just for her grandkid who probably had LESS saiyan dna to do it . I don’t watch super but I did hear women are super saiyans now so that makes me happy for girls of this generation getting to see more female Z fighters. Cuz launch disappeared, bulma never fought, chichi stopped fighting, and they turned 18 into a housewife 😢. Videl and pan was all I had left 😂

1. Her mother teaches martial arts
2. Her grandfather makes a living winning/rigging martial arts tournaments

Would have loved to see a spinoff with Goten and Trunks, or a series focusing on teen Gohan when he was the great saiyan man.
Apparently that’s what Buu Saga was supposed to be. It was supposed to be an arc focused on Gohan. After Cell, the torch was supposed to be passed to Gohan, but the idea faced a lot of criticism and he was forced to bring Goku back.
im sure it will get adapted but in the manga there was a little focus on goten and trunks before the events of the "Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero" arc that just recently happened so if you want a glimpse of that they also do a glimpse of the great saiyaman as well
so if youre not in the know the manga chapters will fill that and to give you a hand even more it starts on dragon ball super chapter 88
obviously you can read the chapters online however you find it or app etc but the shonen jump has them there not sure if you have to be subscribed to read them but even so the subscription is cheap its 2.99 a month

Gohan has always hated violence, he fought when he had to. Goten, on the other hand, lives in a peaceful time and mostly looks up to Trunks, who lives in a city and likely has a luxurious lifestyle for obvious reasons.

Goten and Trunks also have different interests aside from fighting which is good. Goku and Vegeta, on the other hand, only knows fighting all their life. Of course we love these two battle-maniacs but having strong, but not fight-obsessed characters like Goten and Trunks is fine too imo.

Toriyama did nothing at all after Z. As far as Toriyama was concerned, he finished his story with Goku flying out of the Tournament Arena to go train with Oob. Everything coming after this was from Toei Animation, Toyotaro and others. All Toriyama did during this time regarding Dragon Ball, was creating new character designs, giving directions for the plot of a movie and correcting Toyotaro's drawings. He is not responsible for the way the characters were treated in Super and GT.

True, he seems to have been very involved in Daima, but in what regard is he responsible for Super exactly ? As I said in my previous comment, he only designed characters and corrected the manga. He was not involved in the day to day production of Super, they were just putting his name everywhere to give some type of legitimacy to their product. And that was actually how they advertised Daima, saying that "Toriyama was involved like never before". How can you be *more involved* in the writing if you are the writer... Or maybe you are not... And the fact that Toriyama wasn't involved a lot in Super is pretty clear... Characters Toriyama chose to put to the side were brought back on the frontline with non-sensical power ups, Goku's personality was going back to the young battle hungry martial artist instead of the master who wanted the new gen to surpass him in order to grow stronger with them and create new heroes for when he is gone... And I could go on and on

There has been a lot of character motivation changes in the manga like Gohan being relevant again and understanding why he has to train incase another threat appears at any point. not to mention all there new ability's and Broly being part of the main cast now.

Gohan in the end of Z isnt shown to be as strong as he is in super hero and in the manga (SPOILERS!!!!) were continuing were the movie left off, so after the events goku senses gohan beast and this lead to goku bringing gohan to spar at beerus's planet. Gohan even tells Goku he understands why he should be training. So his character motivations have changed and I dont think hes going to go back to his nerdy self anytime soon. That's why I say The end of Z is going to have to be rewritten. But I'm also not saying they have to write it all over again but some things need to be changed.
