This video will go down in history as the most comprehensive install video ever made for the Lancool 216. Great job on the video, by far the best install video for any case I have ever seen and I've been building PC's since 1996.
He is the absolute best. No one better on CZcams
Yeah Indeed i build mine easily watching him
Glad to be the 100th like for this comment. Super helpful vid! I also love the soothing Irish brogue.
Doesn't skip past the plugging stuff up. "I'm now gonna install x" immediately jump cuts to it being done.
It is good, just as is gamers nexus video on this same case. This case deserves it!
My wife used your Evo guide to build a reversed PC. Your skills of teaching are legendary Mr. Flannigan.
Glad it helped
I bought my first Lian Li case about 15 years ago, and it was impressive then. The engineering that went into this case takes it to an entirely different level.
I’m getting ready to watch this 100 times for my first build tomorrow lol
I'm watching this now as I'm doing my first build
@@relltv2042 Same how did it go?
Even though I've been building pc's for about 17 years having this much detail for the case I'm going to be building in tomorrow is absolutely fantastic keep up the good work
Bought my Lancool 216 today and followed this video, a fantastic guide, cannot recommend enough!
Hi do you remember where you plugged in the pwm cable from the case to the MB? was it to a sys fan connector? thanks!
Just finished building my first PC.
I was incredibly intimidated with all the cables just for the case, thanks to your video, and a couple of others for my specific parts, I was able to finish without breaking anything !
Props !
I'm in the midst of building my first gaming PC and I just want to say I really appreciate how detailed and straight to the point your videos are. Very helpful.
Sir, this is the most complete tutorial I have ever seen. I wish I had found it 24h earlier :)
I did almost everything wrong and had a lot of trouble. I will take everything apart and start over. Big thanks. You have great pacing and the way you point out which screw they are referring to with your finger is very helpful. There are a lot of tech content creators out there who seem to have forgotten that not every enthusiast builds PCs for a living.
Bless your heart on this video. Probably the best one from all the current 216 previews out!
Your build is a better review of that case than any other dedicated review. Awesome stuff! This is going to be next case for sure. I love music, so I like that it resembles a shelf speaker. :)
I love this case but I also love your taste in PC style. Deadly computer build 👍 Absolutely incredible.
I didn't even realize the video was 35 min, your voice along with the quality made this video very enjoyable to watch.
Christopher, I've been building PCs for over 20 years now. Your videos are just absolutely stellar in the quality of content. You not only have the information, but you understand the nuisances of what scenarios might come up. You are the tech youtubers we need here on youtube, I pray that as you continue this career path that you choose 1 or more protege's to pass your knowledge and unique insight on to.
I am expecting this case to arrive tomorrow so this video is a huge help as far as knowing what to expect from this specific case! Very explanatory, I have watched a few others but yours is a tier above those. Thank you!
This is hands down the best video I have ever seen of someone explaining how to build a PC! Thank you so much, everything is super clear
first time building a new pc and there is no other video that is so detailed and specific like this one. Actual🐐
Best installation/build video I have seen to date. Seriously great job!
You seem a very kind and good person cristopher, amazing build as always
Thank you very much for this. I just bought this as an upgrade to my current setup. All went smoothly thanks to you.
This is seriously the best and most useful PC building guide I have ever seen. You are doing us a service, thank you 🙏
quite possibly, the most straight forward, to the point, no BS how - to vid i have come across. Very well done sir!
Just transferred my pc parts to this case with no problems thanks to this insane guide. Bless!
As a first time builder, this helped me tremendously. Thank you!
This video was incredibly thorough and helpful. Thank you for creating this video with so much attention to detail!
Great video. Just got this case for my new build and this was a super useful reference during my building process!
Thanks for the build video!! These are so helpful when you're looking at building a new rig. Keep up the good work!!
You have the best "informative" builds on the web. Also not having a rainbow is a big plus for this build but I think the cost of all the extras and swappable parts make it a more expensive case than needed.
You really are a legend for this built guide. There is no way to make it better... This is crazy. Thank you so much.
You got a sub. Awesome video, very clear and concise! I am just starting my 216 build, you cleared some doubts I had.
Thank you so much for making this. I'm a first-time PC builder and this is been so helpful. I've downloaded this video and Will be hearing your voice a lot in the next week
Thank you so much for this video, just purchased this case and this video went above and beyond helping me.
I'm doing a similar build today and this video is an absolutely brilliant guide - I feel well prepare now. Thanks!
Excellent! Couldn't have done without your help, because the pictures in the case manual are seriously unhelpful. Your instructions are everything that the manual ought to be. Many thanks.
Nice video. Keep it up. Your previous video about the LANCOOL 3 case had helped me a lot to complete my pc build on the LANCOOL 3 case. Thank you so much.
Been looking to get the Lancool 216 and this is the most in-depth video for people looking to get that case.
Thank you so much for this wonderful and well explained video, just finished my first PC build ever in this case. I'm very happy! :)
Just want to say thank you for your dedication and hard work uploading these videos to help poor dweebs like me who need all the help they can get. Honestly, you have helped me put together a few builds now! Cannot say thank you enough, you deserve far more credit.
i have this case and I am impressed of the quality you get foe the money ! the attention to detail is just amazing ! removing the back top and glass panel is so easy and smart . HDD bracket is removable . PSU sits on 2 rubber feet for airflow and perforated housing. the included 160mm fans in front are super silent . dust filter is not needed because of perforated mesh . RGB version comes with a fanRGB HUB . this case is very versataile just amazing!!
Your videos are incredible, really appreciate the detailed info. Amazing case, definitely at the top of the list now. Great work. 👏
Thank you for this. I'll be getting all my parts and this 216 case in a few days and I never mount a PC from zero. This video will be super handy
Once more, another great build guide. Keep up the excellent work.
Thanks will do
@@ChristopherFlannigan can we have thermals for this build please? :)

Hello friend, HELP PLEASE
My argb configuration is reset to default every time I turn on the pc, I also have the LAN216-1 argb control module. Is it possible to save the color settings somehow?
Recently built my first PC in the 216, and this video was a godsend. Every possible question i had was answered, and it made the build an absolute blast. Thanks for the great content.
Hey i Just builded my PC in the same case but my frontal panel fans are not lighting up, all the fans are spinning but not turning on. I don't have an argb connector on my motherboard so that Is the only cable that Is not connected. Can u PLS help me?
@@francesconervo667 Do you have the optional fan control panel? With no motherboard argb port you'll need that, or a third party argb controller, to get the fans lighting up.
@@millerc82 no I don't, i thought that RGB would turn on also without argb connector. I thought that argb connector was useful to "control" the fans
@@francesconervo667 Unfortunately, as far as I know you'll need the argb cable from the fans connected to either the optional fan control panel or some other argb control unit to get them to light up, since you don't have the mobo connector. I have the optional panel, works great and I'd say it's worth the money.
@@millerc82 at least I can hope those argb are not broke, in the future I will have a better mobo and use them. Thank you very much
A perfect video since I'm looking to buy this case. Nice job and thank you so much 👏
Picked this case up just a few weeks ago and I'm loving it. I moved my existing build from an NZXT S340 into this and wow, what a difference. Lots of space and fantastic airflow.
Cable management is also easy to deal with.
Paid £90 for the case which I think is a really good price.
Specs:
Ryzen 7 5700X / RTX 4070 Asus Dual OC / 64GB DDR4-3600
Thank you! Your content is truly amazing. The level of detail is very helpful.
This was an amazingly well-made video and extremely helpful! thank you so much!!
Great video.. first time PC builder here. Thank you for your efforts. Really appreciate it.
I wish every case reviewed and built like this . Thanks much appreciated
Great Build Video. Thanks a lot for all the useful hints i will be aware of in my next build.
Your detailed review convinced me to get one. Thanks!
Thank you for making this video. Really Detailed and helpful!!!
Deep review of these lancool case 216 and iii much helped me to choose thx
Very helpful tutorial. You explained exactly what I needed in a short time (very time saving). Thank you!
I was able to build my system on my Lancool 215 bc of your video. Keep up the amazing work
Thanks
Just a quick mention here. You stated in your walkthrough of the case that when the motherboard is set in the higher (air-cool) position, that you wouldn't be able to mount a radiator at top. On Lian Li's product page for this case, it shows a diagram that states it can in-fact fit a radiator up to 360mm with a thickness of
Linus Tech Tips' gigantic "How to build a PC -- the last guide you'll ever need" was great, but this video was my hero. This video was the other half of my process
Really appreciate this video. I just purchased this case and other parts and plan to install in a week or so. (still waiting on GPU) This will prove very helpful, I haven't done a build in about 5 years and I'm nervous. :)
How did it go? I finally got all the parts and I'm debating doing the same.
Super useful video, thank you! I am getting my own 216 in a couple of days, I cant wait. I am doing a very basic build with an AMD 5600 + MSI Tomahawk b550, 32Gb ram, 1 Tb Samsung SSD, and cooled by aThermalright Frost Commander 140...
This video helped me build my first PC. Thanks a lot.
Great installation video. Good job and thank you!
superbly detailed video. Thank you!
Great video! Thanks for your meticulous build.
Thank you so much for making this video. Immensely helpful.
This video is amazing, thank you so much for your hard work.
great tour of the case, thank you!
This deserves a sub. Thank you man.
The best video that explained everything in detail
I loved your video. perfect explanation of the cabinet and very complete. Greetings, I come from Chile.
Good lord this is a fantastic build instructional.
Thanks. helped me build new pc with breeze. a Good case indeed. highly recommended
Immensely helpful, thank you for this video!
THIS IS SO HELPFUL THANK U
Thank you for this build. Although I'm transferring my air cooled build into this case, this guide really helped. The lian li comes with loads of different bolts and screws, last night i was getting confused on how to mount fans at the bottom, and the fan hub really confused me in terms of where things go. Went to boot my computer and only 2 RGB fans were working and I wasn't getting a picture out (debug 55 on asus viii hero) realized that I didnt have cpu fans connected to cpu fan header. I eventually gave up and will try again today after work but I reviewed this video and was annoyed at how brain dead I can be. Really love the channel and your content bro!!
i gave up on mounting the bottom fans bc i couldnt figure how to get them mounted UNTIL i rewatched ur vid and saw i needed to REMOVE the bottom grates. i love u so much thanks u!!!!!
This video helped me very much. Thank you so much.
good job Chirs! keep up the good content.
Thanks will do
Best case video ever. Enough said.
Great step by step video, helpful, thx.
thank you for helping me build my pc!
Thank you so much. I can't overstate how helpful you were - I built a PC around 8 years ago and wanted to do so again. I bought all of the components including this case and got around to assembly...I never expected the step of putting everything into the case to be the most complicated.
I had everything I could do outside of it done. I sat down to the case, which I bought because of the reviews AND the overall look since it looked like it'd be great for fans and cooling (which it is). But when I opened the case to start the process my brain Blue Screened...holy sh*t...
So many cables, so many removable/movable options. So much data! My brain doesn't do well with a lot of visual info and after I had the motherboard, graphics card, and PSU situated I was at a loss as to what to do.
I probably would've had to have paid someone to help if not for your video. Thank you SO MUCH.
TL;DR of purchase: Great case, overwhelming if you're an amateur. This video is a must and Lian Li should be giving this channel some royalties.
Hello, im happy you that you ended up assembling everything alright. Im in the same situation, ordered my build 1 day ago. The problem is that i have never built a pc gaming. Im kinda scared now after watching this video ..
I ordered
Thermalright cpu ba120 aircooler
Ryzen 7 5700x
2x 16gb corsair Vengeance lpx ddr4
Thermaltake 80 plus bronze atx
Rx 6700xt pulsegaming 12gb shappire
Msi b550 a-pro
I wonder if i have to do adjust my motherboard and graphic card as he did in the beginning.
I am almost exactly at your position. I have built many systems back in the day but last one was second hand haswell and cases back then needed only to figure how to get the side panels open. Opened the box semi tired, looked at the manual and took some panels open. Then i accepted that better continue next day with fresh mind. Luckily i decided to visit youtube for this case😅.
We're all in the same boat on this, I couldn't figure out how to put the damn psu in the case lol among a few other things.
great attention to details, nice review
Thanks
Thanks for the guide, was very helpful for my build.
Your welcome and thanks
Best and complete video!
Brilliant video to learn about pc building
I followed this guide and was extremely helpful. One thing to note with this case, and the back fan. If you choose to upgrade the 140mm to lian li uni rgb 140mm, it doesn't fit well, maybe depending on your motherboards IO shield (I'm using Asus Tuf z690-f) . I got it to work, but had to bend the metal case a mm or 2. A dremel would be handy.
Edit: a side sticker fell off of one of my 120s, so maybe if you peel the sticker off the side that faces the motherboard(or both), it might work better. Those side stickers are pretty thick. I wasn't aware they could come off.
THANK YOU! Lian Li’s documentation for the optional ARGB control on the bottom left of the front made zero sense to me. This was immensely helpful
Amazing guide!!! Thanks!!!
impressive work mate very east yo follow and gave more confidence to build similar rig
What an informative video. Thanks.
Perfect timing...just got mine yesterday :) Stellar work man...even an idiot like me can follow it! \m/
Excellent work, good review.
Thanks for this incredibly helpful video. Is that a Dublin accent I hear? I love it. I have a Liancool 216 and I cannot tell you how much I appreciate this, even though I'm literally telling you, lol! Thanks again sir!
After completing my build in Lancool 216, I thought that the controller is not working, because only the bottom buttons were active. Then I watched the end of the video and apparently, my controller came in with both inner and outer RGB's synced. So thank you for making clear instructions on how to change that.
I love the motherboard "beautiful" 😁 Good job Chris👍
Thanks Arvin one of the best looking ones I have used. Are you still playing table tennis?
@@ChristopherFlannigan Hi Chris Me and Erin stopped playing due to covid. I've heard the B&D league is back. I'm thinking on coming back to play on January hopefully. How's the team? pls send my regards to Billy and all.

Great video, thanks mate
Great video. Thank you!
Wow, excellent video.
Thx. It helped a lot!
Thanks, this case is only recently available in the EU, still not with the RGB fans, and I am just debating with myself whether to get it or not. This super clear build guide, is brilliant and convincing.
its been in eu since the summer, here it costs 95 eur for the non rgb.
