Great look - deep colors and wonderful classic shapes.
It's nice to see a more traditional style of Aqua Pots have come out in the faux concrete/stone varieties. The thing that's always turned me off the most are the ugly (IMO) and bright colored pots.
The question above asked about over flow, and you said to pull a plug on the bottom. Where is the drain plug placed? Do you have to unplug when it rains? Once it is drained do you have to put more water in the reservoir?
We are sorry for the confusion, the plug is only needed when the container is being used for indoor houseplants.
So, are the containers for indoor use only?
@@juliepekarske8302 Oh not at all, they were designed with outdoor use in mind. But then we did get the question about indoor use, so we developed a plug so the container can be used in either place!
Thank you. Does the container overflow under hard rains? Someone mentioned a container that was filled with rainwater.
No, there is an overflow hole in the side of the container, which is also an easy way to know that you have added enough water when it is time to do so. Perhaps that overflow valve was blocked somehow? But I do have an aquapot and in the 2-3 years I have had it that has never been my experience.
Have my first Aqua Pot this year. You must water until the roots grow down to take up the water from the bottom. My plants have been in one month and I’m still having to water. Hoping soon I can only water once a week!
Kristine, you must not have packed the spoil into the cylinder that goes down to the water enough. You want to push this dirt in so it is compact and absorbs the water, and brings that water up to the level the plants are stored at. Personally I have not watered my AquaPot once this year and the plants are thriving. Reach out to us if you need assistance at 815-895-8130.
Do your new planters fade in the sunlight?
Our initial testing has indicated the resin does hold its color over time, thanks for asking.
What happen when it rains heavily ? How will the extra water drain from the pot ? Also, do you have to worry about mosquitoes laying eggs in the water reservoir ?
Just leave the bottom plug open for overflow. I never had problems with mosquitoes with my ceramics aqua pots.
