Honestly never been a Kobe fan but to have the versatility to not just limit himself to basketball but to also be passionate about storytelling and doing in the manner in which he went in about it in "Dear Basketball" and to get nominated for an Oscar is astonishing. Have to respect a man who didn't just fall into the mold of every other professional athlete and go into broadcasting, he aspired to do and be something bigger and better and become a true artist.
