In 1982, 4 friends and I bought a 72 Dodge Monaco Station Wagon for $500 and drove from WV to DC and then across the continent to LA. This video brought back memories of a memorable trip in a massive car. That said the car shook severely at 60 mph and blew a head gasket in Texas. I do get to brag that the first car I ever owned, (my name was on the documentation), was 21ft long V8 with 360 Cubic Inch engine

I am a Beach Wagon / Station Wagon lover myself. I come from a family of 6 Children 3 Boys 3 Girls 1 Big older Brother 3 older sisters and 1 younger brother. Our parents or shall I say our Mother’s rottenly spoiled youngest of whom she would rottenly spoiled every chance she got. Our dad brought a brand new 1968 Dodge Monaco Beach Wagon/Station Wagon with a Big Block 383 4BBL V8 Power Plant under the Hood it was The Top of The Line back then. It was a 9 Passenger with 8-Track Tape Player. I remember it still to this very day. Our dad would take us all out on 3 day weekend holidays 4th of July, Labor Day and Columbus Day 3 day weekends with 2 Barbecue Grills 1 was a Portable Coleman Gas Grill with 3 Burners he had a special steel gauge plate made for it that our Mom would cook the burgers and frank’s and both b & h buns to heat up oh yeah can’t 4get the cheese slices 4 the burgers, the other grill was 30 to 36 inch charcoal grill she would bbq the chicken on that.

Another great video and hats off to Dave. I'm a wagon man, cause of there versatility. But jees this stunner does 150 mph, with a full load onboard ! Sleek and long with the beautiful body sculpture on either side. Headlights wow hide aways and that 3rd seat. Man I could look at this car, with Dave giving the background, all day long.

That is a beautiful wagon. I first met Dave in the late 90s with his wagon. His is a great inspiration for me and mine. I have my moms 71 Plymouth Sport Suburban that was my first car. At that time wagons were not really cool and I got a lot of flack for playing with mine. I wondered if it could be cool. Seeing David’s wagon even before the hood scoop and wheels. I knew his was cool and so mine could be also. I’ll never forget that day.
Will watch when i get more time. Neat ride never see those around!
Loved them station wagons had a 68 and Palo wagon myself what a ride.❤❤
