Spoiler alert on those, but act 2 was "standing invisible in water with those boots that electrify the water"
And act 3 was gonna be a Drunk Karlach wild magic barbarian that just jumps haphazardly around the battlefield, waiting for wild magic surges that can deal damage.
I actually have all of act 2 filmed, its just that the electricity build didn't work very well unfortunately so it was mostly just using True Strike. So I made the True Strike video instead since that was the main build that was working.
Just so you know I find it REALLY frustrating when a youtuber starts a series and give up halfway through. It's one of my biggest pet peeves.

I'm surprised that YOU were surprised Dhourn and the other drow weren't a match for the Spectator. I mean, the battlefield when you first arrive is already a testament to the first time they lost to it.

The githyanki creche was so funny. Imagine trying to hit someone like 4 times and each time you attack them you get hit with damage back... And deciding "well surely 5 times the charm"

Ok, watching back the video a few times let me puzzle out what's going on with the Arcane ward. It's the boots, it has to be. True Strike is Divination School and thus does not trigger the Arcane Ward, and the only other thing that happens during that cast is the effect of your boots. As such, it's likely that the boots' ability, Arcane Echomalefaction, is classified as a level 1 Abjuration spell effect, thus triggering arcane ward. You can see in the footage that your stacks of arcane Ward go from 3 to 4 during one of the casts of True Strike.

Loved the final abjuration wizard build too, maybe true strike is secretly a top tier cantrip?!?😱 If you had the adamantine shield too, you would be scaling an absolutely silly amount of reverb passively! Probably not worth the effort to go back for it though 😅
I haven't moved into act 2 yet and still have a Mithril to use I think... I've never made the adamantine shield, gonna have to look it up, lol

These challenge runs are very interesting. The thunder step damage looks very fun.
More voice lines to give the characters their charm. Wonderful video without harming a fly. Loved the cleric strategy of self heal and the dmg reflect armor

You could abuse the abjuration wizard/warlock build for infinite thorn damages for melee attackers.
There is the reward to Wyll for killing Karlash that grants you fire shield that could also help.
For range attacker, you would need another dude casting sanctuary and command (drop weapon) so the enemies would attack the other thorn dude bare handed. (Cleric/Bard is probably a good option here)
Spell casters will be the most annoying i think. You can still intentionaly pass next to them to trigger opportunity melee attack on your wizard/warlock.
You would probably need counter spells from cleric/bard.

Soo about mol's quest... if you expose Khaga as a novice Shadow Druid by reading her diary hidden in a chest behind a bookshelf in the same area where you meet her, you can take the idol without the druids going berserk

In act 2, there is a cape that deals acid damage to enemies that hit you with melee attacks. It is In the morgue of the house of healing (the entrance is around the house of healing, to the right of where the githyanki ambush you before leaving act 2) find it when you enter the right door, jump to the left and open the chest.

15:21 - so fun fact, if you time it perfectly by going to camp while stealing the idol, right when it leaves the pedestal in the air, it never triggers the druids to attack the tieflings and they keep doing the rite of thorns to an empty idol slot lol.
6:30 I love that Larian just lets you ruin your game like this. It's so specific that you'll never do it by accident, there's like a half dozen things you have to know about beforehand to get it to happen

I personally think the stomp goes against the pacifist rule. But you're the boss.
I consider just like any area spell and you actively need to target and "attack". Even when you did in the bridge against minthara (it's the same as push)
I would not consider for example if you had no action like aeo defensive spells where the enemy decides to come closer or reflect dmg.
Not sure in the spirt of the challenge but If enraged team mates (or summons) lose control and attack anything near (you are not controlling or attacking). I think there is a necklace or ring that the wearer goes crazy if it loses constitution save. But you might not agree - I think it's still pacifist because you are not controlling, for example, if you save nightsong and she kills ketheric thorn alone, you are not controlling and therefore... Pacifist.
I'm constantly in awe of the stupid (and wonderful) shit you can do in this game
Thanks for showing me I need to start ANOTHER campaign as a jumpmancer... But actually I think it could pair well with a shadow monk in particular. The unlimited invisibility and shadow step I imagine could be super clutch with hopping around and doing damage but then disappearing so enemies can't actually damage you back.

I'm currently playing a "Pacifist" Gnome wizard build similar to your build for the githyanki creche fight. Its 1st level ice draconic bloodline sorcerer for the armour of agathys and con save prof, 2nd level cleric for the heavy armour prof and then 3rd level and beyond abjuration wizard.
I just upcast armour of agathys at the start of the day to build up arcane ward stacks, have someone cast warding bond on me to resist all damage, and then run around having people hit me, and either miss and take radiant damage from the helm or hit and take a bunch of cold damage from agathys.
I can't wait to see what other shenanigans you get up to in acts 2 & 3!

Well I have good news and good news.
This is *exactly* the kind of thing Larian will look for to fix and make more viable once they see how much creativity you applied to the run.
if you do the the "investigate Kauga" quest which you get by reading the note in the hidden chest (near where you first meet her and Arabella), afterwards you can steal the idol and the Druids won't attack the tieflings.
Dont you lose arabella as an ally in the final fight by doing that?

@@heathengypsy i mean, if you dont steal the idol arabella will steal it. And thanks to the powers of the idol she will learn magic and aid you in the final fight.
So if you steal the idol yourself i guess arabella wont come for the final fight?
@@mrsgamer9218 I stole the idol after completing the investigate Kaugha quest, gave it to Mol, got the protection ring and Arabella still got her powers in Act 2 so I don’t think that’s correct.
You can steal the idol without any combat happening if you discover Kagha being involved with Shadow Druids (read the letter in her chest in the Servant's Quarters, then go get the letter from the stump on the island near the swamp), get her to see reason and she will no longer have the druids be upset at the Tieflings. When that happens there won't be any druids near the idol chanting anymore and you can shoot an arrow of darkness near the idol, then enter turn mode, drag the idol into the darkness, steal it, then portal back to camp before they get upset at it. No combat, nothing really wasted except like an 11 gold arrow.

You can turn off opportunity attacks by the way. You can even make them not auto-triggering, asking you if you want to trigger them instead. I found it out when i wanted to turn off riposte on fighter, and there's some menu that allows it. I think you have to click those icons that are on the upper-left from End Turn button.
Selling Gale to Auntie Ethel only to have her run away and his body explode in a broken cutscene is probably the funniest way that could have gone horribly wrong. Netherese jack-in-the-box indeed.
Playthrough Idea.. your only allowed to Deal damage while being drunk 😋 (there is even a build for that Playstyle and plenty of booze to Run down your throat 🤣🤣)

I am currently playing a "pacifist" duegar durge, with cleric 1, wizard 6, and sorcerer 3. Taking the abyss beckoners, and staying in stealth. Using the second marriage wand to summon my meatshield connor, summoning two ghouls, buffing them with twinned haste, and then dipping out of being attacked with sanctuary. Then just never break sanctuary and using non-damaging spells.
I'm surprised you didn't use Armor of Agathys on your Abjurer/Fighter character with Warding Bond, it's very on the nose and stupidly powerful. The enemies basically kill themselves. Anyway, awesome video, have a like, good sir!

So i came up with an idea for an amazing (no) challenge run. Goodberries only run! U use only goodberries as weapons (throw them), u long rest using only them as supplies and u heal using only them (or long/short rest, cause they get replenished by goodberries too).
Wonder if a mod can be made to allow separate groups of enemies to aggro each other. Would be interesting to see how 3- or 4-sided skirmishes play
Wow, in one of my runs I turned Laezel into a jumper, but this is so much faster and all around better
I know this is old but you can sneak up behind the main knoll with your main character and talk to it to turn it on the other knolls then convince it to kill itself.
Finally, true strike being usefull
HAH! This ended up exactly like I did my true solo run with the 1 level of every class achievement. But there's a better combo - use the armor from underdark that does a radiant wave and take adamantine shield from Grymforge for crit immunity. The only problem was that the game kept crashing at too many radiant orb stacks so I had to change armor mid- fight often.
Imagine one day this guy does something that’s impossible and the entire vid is 3 seconds of him saying “no”

This comment is actually for the video on your home page (I couldn't find a place to comment there). To the people who are saying "you're not playing the game right" who are you to say that someone else's fun is "wrong"?. Applying objective criticisms to obviously subjective situations is just sad in a super weird way. So if you ever find yourself typing one of those comments, stop, just stop, and go find something to do that's fun for you. And never let anyone convince you that your fun is wrong (unless it hurts or in any way hinders someone else)
Did you check if the Arcane Ward triggered on Blade Ward or Resistance? Those are the only other abjuration cantrips I believe. It is just possible that True Strike is so bad that it just wasnt caught before lmao
it has to be a leveled spell. so cantrips dont work.

One of the paladin abilities would have been very useful. Challenge to duel I think is called.
The stomp strategy I feel wasn't in the spirit of the challenge. It's pretty much just directly attacking something. But since you ditched it by the end I figured you were thinking it bent the rules a bit too much as well. The strategy at the end though was crazy impressive!
Even if you use barrels and explosives crates or chests. What we see in this video is nonsense, not pacifistic. :P
Halfway it works, but not always. I’m currently doing it this way:
1) Use violence free solutions as long as possible
2) Don’t attack first, only defend myself
3) Rather let enemies kill each other or themselves instead attacking
Not really pacifistic, but sometimes you have to kill someone. You can’t go to the chosen three, say “Pretty please” and they will give their Netherstones for example. Not going to happen. :D
But heh, Gale approves a lot of my decisions. I don’t throw him around, but my character this time somehow made him like her. I like that way more. ;)

If you hire the 3 ogres in the village they can fight for you. Then you can pick up their stuff after they die.

Id prefer seeing you playing a playthrough with minimum deaths. Escape every fight you can and being associated to as few death/kills as possible.
