- Can a game that is completely designed around the use of actions and bonus actions be beaten without them?
This is by far the dumbest thing I have done yet.
Intro Music: • Chemical Plant Zone Ac... - Hry
My man is going to beat the game just by looking at it soon enough
CRUSHING Act 1 as a LONEWOLF PAIR OF EYEBALLS
Don’t give him any ideas
Can you beat Baldur's Gate 3 by only teleporting
"can you beat baldur's gate 3 without moving a muscle IRL? (he sits in his chair like stephen hawking and plays the game with a neuralink connected to his pc)
And you thought goonly was cursed
Most people's challenges are things like solo monk.
Bro's challenges is the removal of several core game mechanics.
That is what a challenge run should be like half the challenge runs I see are basically can you beat (insert game) but my name is mark
@@SnakeD1ckmy name is mark and all my challenge runs are like this.
"Can I beat bg3 using only the best classes in explorer in under 100 hours????" Type content from some people lol. I like this channel's challenge runs tho
you guys are acting like he's built a new niche way to beat the game when he's basically using the same hammerhraft build that's been a game breaking and heavily abused way to solo the game since it came out. all he did differently was find out the people were using spore druid to get a free potion use and use that to fly for free instead of using an action or bonus action.
"Can't open the door because I don't have enough damage"
"So anyway I went back to the scrying eye and killed it with two bombs"
Gale : "Remind me again, why do I have to kill myself ?"
Durge : "I don't want to do a single action myself"
love how all of those characters you make are Durge. Bhaal just out there putting his kids in the weirdest situations for fun.
Bhaalin' - but at what cost
I mean, that *was* kinda the plot of the first two games. :p
bhaal's stuck in a time loop and getting increasingly bored
You have to be kidding me
This is a descent that eventually ends with you beating BG3 with a blindfold, no items or levels and only being able to operate the keyboard with your feet
DON"T GIVE HIM IDEAS!
"For my next BG3 challenge, I will smack myself on the head with this hammer until I forget that the game was ever published. Afterwards, I will beat the game without being aware that it even exists."
I was unsure how the rotten food would make this possible, but the reveal was mindblowing. This game is mental
I swear the next challenge is going to be “Can you beat Baldur’s Gate 3 without doing literally anything?” and he’ll still somehow be able to do it
Im very sorry to be the one to say this. but equipping items costs an action
Yup.
Unless you’re out of combat
@@4m4n40 If you put the game in turn based and swap gear, I'm fairly certain it does. Following your logic, spells, attacks, and such don't cost actions either (unless using one starts combat)
that is true, somehow I did not think about that. Guess I'll just have to do it all again.
@@bouch_ You're insane
Evil Lae’Zel: “Reaction, not action.”
If you need a way to open locked chests without lockpicking, you can just pick up the chest, go to a trader, and then double click the chest in the trading window to drag the items to your inventory. Quest related chests like the one containing the Iron Flask won't normally show up in the trading menu, but if you place them inside of a pouch or backpack they'll appear in there. This actually allows you to steal the Iron Flask and return the locked chest to complete the quest.
1:35 thought it'd be ranger because gloom stalker gets an attack which consumes no actions or bonus actions
wait thats true, i wonder why he didnt use it
@@holyheckismprobably because it can only be used once per combat on the first turn.
@@MalcolmLikesMtgright then you’d have to be duergar to constantly invis to keep going out and in on the fight. Makes sense spores are more consistent with more utility for things like opening doors and potions before the hammer.
@TacoRemixx Duergar invis still requires an action though, no?
@TacoRemixx I'm pretty sure invisibility requires an action, but I'm not sure.
I found a slight cheese in my most recent honor mode playthrough. I stepped out into the goblin camp after killing the big 3 and got swarmed. My initiative was garbo for all except astarion (assassin with alert) So I immediately had him go back inside as my insurance policy just in case. Saw he got his actions back and decided to go back out.
He got put in the current turn of initiative because of alert, got his actions back because of assassin so I could shoot again, get a free crit, bonus action dash, leave and return on loop. I had other party member's whose turns were holding up initiative, so I had inifinite ability to enter and leave combat firing arrows. Probably already the sort of thing in your repetoire but if not I wanted to let you know so you could experiment with it and maybe use it in a hard place in the future. I wouldn't have lost my honor run without it (hypnotic pattern for the win) but it was certainly fun to find my first infinite damage mechanic of my own
Utterly deranged. I love it
Madmans done it again
Equipping items requires an action, but some things can be overlooked for fun runs like these, great run
Now we need to beat it without moving
My man here should be hired by governments as a problem solver.
These runs are getting crazier and crazier. Your content is so creative, well done.
When I read the title I knew I was about to be both shocked about how crafty you can get. Great work love videos
My man's challenge runs are getting scarier and scarier
I love how it went from "hey, can we kill everything in one hit the entire game?" to "Let's remove one of the single most important mechanic of the game and try to beat it."
I feel the need to say this @Bouch out of all the bg content ive watched you are by far my favorite, i have watched every piece of content on your channel (Save for the palworld one, sorry mate) and I really love watching so thank you for making the content you do
You could use Crates to build bridges and "Climb On" which doesn't use an action or bonus action. Diagonal bridge and then break the end one, causing you to fall to the other side.
i love how you got from normal challange runs like the summons one, to this, you are my favourite channel
ritual means cast as a cantrip - cantrip is an action.
u can even see it lights up an action bar at 8:25
Good catch, woopsie!
You are absolutely incredible, I am stunned
Absolutely insane thing to do.
This is incredible, you’re either a genius or a fool to do such things
He is a fool for doing it, but a genius for succeeding.
I've discussed reverberation builds with people before, but never seen anything quite like this one. I am intrigued absolutely incredible!
"Now I may not be able to do anything else but at least I can be below average at the drums" brother I felt that in my soul
I'm pretty sure there is an item in act 3 that lets you cast a spell for free (no actions or spellslots). Maybe that woudl make it possible to cast Karsus' Compulsion. Forgot what the items was called sadly but I think you can get it at sorcerous sundries. Great video btw, you always put the the craziest bg3 challanges
Markoheshkir :)
Assuming you mean Markoheshkir, that does not actually make the spell not use an action. Same goes for the Staff of Spellpower which has the same ability as well as the Freecast tadpole power.
It only stops the spell from using a spell slot, not actions.
Very creative solutions. I wish i had even a modicum of this dudes problem solving skills.
respect for finding all these niche things, props man
Awesome video as always! Would love to see you do a lone wolf level one (honour mode maybe?) playthrough :)
best and more creative BG3 video ive ever seen , LEARN FORM THIS GUY LUALITY
Bro, i recently watched some of your videos, u remind me of ymfah, its a very popular youtuber, who makes videos mostly about souls games. I really enjoy watching people creating new unique strats and beating the game, so go on, you are the best.
Incredibly clever playthrough!
Speeding through your uploads looking forward to more content ;)
No pressure though take your time we wouldn’t be here if you didn’t put so much work into them
I love this crazy challenge runs. ❤
This man is an evil genius and must be protected at all costs.
Those are some cool looking mindflayers at the start, in the crashed nautiloid
Oye, beltalowda! Love dat subtle expanse reference in chapter titles.
Are you okay?
You are insane and I love it!
I did not expect you to become this mad when I first subscribed - can't say I'm not entertained!
Bouch striving to achieve new levels of masochism with every video
after all the crazy challenges u had, this title had me like huh xD
amazing vid as always
As much as I love ur vids. It is painful to watch videos where u limit urself rather than focusing on a cool build. I'd love to see u use ur creativity in something similar as the summoner or os build.
Also, I enjoyed the quantity when vids was split into acts as the quality of ur vids are already so high.
But it is just my opinion, great video as always!
love how he says took him so many tries to get to her lmao but the thing is that the brain enemies you have to actively go into their area xP u can run up to that door without a problem as long as you don't get their attention lmao!
Bravo! Genius! My gastor is totally flabbered!
Another masochistic challenge run lets gooo
11:24 if you ever do this again, just a tip, bring the non-theft chest to the chest you want rather than the other way around. Saves alot of time and headache
Not sure why I imagined Gordon screaming RAAAAAAAAW when you raged after eating the carrot lol.
16:00 you know it's a Bouch video when this tune kicks in 😎
Donning armor is an action, no? Unless there’s away to make it equip automatically that I’m missing. Not that this discredits the run in my eyes, this was incredible!
Ayyyy new Bouch upload
I got another challenge for you: lonewolf, no summon, no controlable npc (temporary uncontrollable allies are ok), no damage (even from retaliation effect like the radiant helm in the creche or the jumping/flying hammer), no debuffing effect (not even throwing haste potions at people to make them lethargic). You can only kill people through dialogs, cutscenes, merging fights or by pushing them in an endless abyss (no floor). I'll leave it to you to figure out if there is a way to beat the apostle of myrkul (maybe chestmancy + buffing aylin ?) but if there truly isn't, you can make one exception just for him and actually damage him.
Also the goal is not only to beat the game but also to solve as many encounters as possible.
Amazing just how many BG3 tactics involve just vibrating in place
Bro, are you ok? These challenge runs are becoming a bit...concerning...
You could heal with potions in the initial intellect devourer fight by standing near the fire and dropping the potions (no action to drop), fire destroys it and it heals you.
Larian give this man another game or something, he's slowly loosing his sanity
the saitama serious side jump build. a classic.
Technically 'class actions' are still under the umbrella of "action" so run failed the second you played the drum.
there is an infinite damage combo in act 3 with the armour you can buy after the tribunal accepts you, the boots of clamour and the monk spirit talisman. you simply toggle the armour's passive, then untoggle, then talk to the amulet, then repeat. anything close to you will take 2 stacks of reverb with no actions used.
You can actually get the tongue of madness from a few vendors (I think auntie ethel and derreth?) and the tinmask spores you can cause the tinmask mushrooms around the underdark to explode and they will drop tinmask spores that you can pick up as long as you dont get beffudled. I almost always skip the arcane tower now.
Dude it is absolutely insane to me how many playthroughs these CZcamsrs churn out. I have 500 hours in this game and I haven’t finished it ONCE
"Can you beat baldur's gate 3 without loading the game?" up next fr
seriously, you're incredible!!
3:50 "It's me, Zevlor and a bugbear left", this sounds like the start of a dirty joke hahaha
This reminds me of trying to minimise the number of A-presses in a Super Mario 64 run.
Bouch i love your videos but technically equipping armor and weapons counts as using an action 😭
This is by far the most ludicrous BG3 run I've ever seen.
I mean this with all sincerity, I promise. I am proud of you.
Nothing quite says "Where there's a will, there's a way" like these increasingly more absurd challenge runs
STOP MAN STOP. I'M GENUINELY WORRIED FOR YOU.
I thought this game already had a bunch of cool builds, and then you're over here like, "I killed things by flying around them"
Ritual spells (in tabletop verion) can be cast as is in 10 minutes outside of combat, thats why in bg3 you can cast it free when not in combat
I have to disappoint you but... Equipping anything in your eq also costs action. I know you can see it only during fight, but if it is so during fight it is so. Anyway good job ^^
Fun fact: You don't have to go to the Arcane Tower to get Timmask spores. Whenever a Timmask mushroom goes off, it usually drops a spore or two. They despawn after a few seconds, but you have more than enough time to grab them (I recommend using someone with high Con to make the saves to resist being befuddled).
However, in Act 1, you do have to go to the tower to get Tongue of Madness, so this fun fact is a bit of a moot point.
Nope, I'm pretty sure you can buy Tongue of madness from the Dwarf woman, (I forget their names lmao)
@xLionsxxSmithyx Well, yes. Bonecloak can sell them after you reach level 6. Which requires you to have done almost everything in Act 1 prior to the mountain pass.
17:16 and this is how the side hop build began
This sounds like one of those joke challenges youd hear from twitch chat "Hey why dont you beat the game, no attacks, no bonus action, no nothing, honor mode"
this is insane..... i love it
You should try with no reactions too, because technically equipping items counts as an action
Love your vídeos
hamar-what? man i finished the game 4 times and had no idea that hammer even existed lmao, just assumed the chest in there would have like some potions and gold or something and instead it's one of the most unique melee weapons in the game. although finding the cloaker chest in my first playthrough is what kinda made me stop going out of my way for any fancy chests
A BG3 CZcamsr continuing to make excellent content after the hype is dying down? I must say… Benji please check if this guy is a vicious murderer.
Oh I see XD the shockwave from the hammer also works with flight
At this point I’m expecting a video of beating Baldur’s Gate 3 without even opening a game.
Hey, I've got an idea for you.
You can play BG3 as Sonic the Hedgehog.
First: Take Wood elf for additional movement speed.
For your class: Monk (step of the wind for additional movement speed or disengage (preferably disengage, I say why in a sec), and maybe thief for additional bonus action.
For equipment you will need: Hamarhraft (main source of damage), boots that will give you lightning charge when dashing, bow of lightning, ring for additional 3m, ring that will boost thunder damage and the gloves of Belligerent Skies.
Also you will need to get branding of the Absolute and dashing several times before battle (that will stack your dashes, for instance my monk at level 4 could run for 108 meters straight on turn one). Other little details you can refind by yourself to max your speed; damage etc.
Then get the ring that deals additional 2 radiant damage
If you want I can say other details
I would like to call this build as the mosquito build
This was really impressive! :D A question though:
20:24 How can you quicksave / quick reload with the honor mode ruleset? Is it a mod? 🤔
i think he uses mods for these because sometimes he dies and it doesnt seem realistic hed start over.
How the hell do you always manage to make op builds with these challenges man
Using Rotten Food to trigger rage is crazy!
Lad had a Will as STRONG as Steel hahahaha
And here i wait for the "can you beat the game without using movement" run
Im sorry he can't run that
doesn't equipping items technically cost an action?
If your in battle yes. If not in battle no so kind of
@@rickyrivera3623 problem is he also didn't use potions outside of battle because they require an bonus action even if outside of combat they kinda don't
@@rickyrivera3623
But then that means that dashing, shoving, throwing, improvised weapon attacks, etc. outside of combat is allowed, since it doesn't "cost" an action or bonus action.
@@colacoca820 I guess it’s bit wierd because like dashing is on the action wheel even if it’s out of battle but like equipping stuff is not on action wheel like unequipping stuff so if that’s the case the only think you can do is just walk, and I guess do a reaction not even heal unless you rest
Equipping items dont cost an action outside of combat in both bg3 and normal dnd
The potions still have the bonus action tag underneath the description
Sorry for being that guy but-
Equipping items actually requires an action. ☝️🤓
"OOM-a-LOOM" gets me every time
HE CAN'T KEEP GETTING AWAY WITH THIS
