The forces of Chaos Undivided are an incredible and unique army comprised completely of Creature Caster miniatures, this episodes sponsor. This is our take on the kaiju battle. Massive T'au suits against the greatest of daemons. Simon from Creature Caster will be in the live chat during the live premiere. creaturecaster.com/
Amazing miniatures I especially love the Queen of Onslaught, that is just such a beautiful model.
The queen of onslaught wishes to punch whoever is calling her a guy.
@@theinquisitionsparrot6749 She might also suggest that person would need a new pair of glasses.
Unbelievably good models, and the paint jobs...
My dream matchup for episode 2: Orks Vs Tyranids. Hoping to see the carnage unfold!
That riptide with the laser sword is just farsight after he watched Gundam and realized his suit wasn’t big enough
Lol, good one.
Lol so true
Lol
@@cgfftrophilessspursfan9952 ya but how did he do it
"You can always count on Nick to do the fun thing". Exactly why I love Nick
And why we love Nick too!
Exactly why everyone loves tau nick
I think you mean we love Tau Nick
@@christiankoppang8296 some of the tau communism coming through there
The tale Shasi Kik'aso shall be immortalized in poems and song. The one lone Tau who fought off a horde of demons and dying with a Martini in his hand. Like a true Tau its shaken not stirred.
That guy is really "the greater good" the mesiah.
I'm gonna name first T'au commander like him in is honor
More like Kick asso
Drinks shall be raised in his name.
"oh no, I've taken one wound *of 30.*
"Well it's not 30 anymore!"
Love the banter
Gotta love a witty retort.
This is basically turning 40k into a skirmish game with oversized models. Love it.
Considering the oversized models don't get to see much play as a group in most games, this was exciting to watch, since each individual unit was so much more deadly and beautiful on the board.
@@aznperson8 For the Tau at least. All those demons are mean AF.
@@aznperson8 For the Tau at least. All those demons are mean AF.
@@aznperson8 AND STILL WHIFFED ALL THE TIME :') it was hilarious at times.
I'd watch a series of these skirmish style games with a monster battle theme any day of the week tbh.
Imagine being a regular tau warrior in all this chaos
KICKASSO
FOR THE GREATER.. (*stomp*)
I’m taking a long vacation afterwards that’s for sure
Welp. Nevermind. I just got to 13:28.
Can we all just acknowledge how much more epic the effects get season by season and sometimes even from ep to ep? Bravo to the post-production!
Didn’t like the erratic cuts. It was extreme and Pointless in this episode. Show the dice result or not but don’t cut on the dice to cut away half a second before they stop falling.
RIP Kik'aso
True hero of the greater good
Some say, on moments of silence travelling the stars, you can still hear his battle cry echo through the void, ever fighting back the wave of chaos seeking to devour the empires citizens.
My favorite battle report channel is doing a game with my favorite faction themed around my favorite movie. This is going to be awesome.
As long as its pasicif rim 1 style... Not the abomination that is 2 lol.
@@GundamReviver it was ok ish na bo its was kinda bad
@@GundamReviver amen
Was rooting for Nick. And the fact that a split fire worked for him...he won forever
That was immensely satisfying to see, what a play! You have to loves players who play for fun and can do excellent mimes and noises
I'm a bit sad for nick though. Tau should really get a New codex soon.
100%
Absolutely! Takes the sting of losing out when you’re having that much fun. Haha. And agreed tau are in dire need of a new codex. They’re a fun faction to watch and play but need a serious reworking
@@flippyn1 I cry myself to sleep at night, the horror of new power armour releases haunts my dreams.
Had it not been for PlayOnTabletop I would never had gotten into 40k.
loved the lore, but the gameplay on table just seemed so much work.
you guys make it look fun and easy! love this! Never stop this channel! :)
These kind of comments are amazing and keep us going. Thank you so much!
100% agree! 40k was so daunting before but these guys make it look like the joyride it is!
They make it look fun and easy because they cut the real time play of 2-6 hours down to 40 minutes.
That's great! What army have you chosen?
We salute you, Kickasso. You will be missed. And also the guy with the dead brother and sister, I guess.
We don't get why Nick's T'au go on to war with their families all the time. Must be a T'au thing.
@@PlayOnTabletop Bonding ritual. All are family in the fire caste.
@@PlayOnTabletop This is done to increase the soldiers' morale.
I just want to congratulate whoever is in charge of the special effects, its a small thing but the visual experience certainly improves tenfold
@@tawnykyle-cm5eq Nick built out all the shooting effects that are used. The sequence and assets are passed around from editor to editor depending on the show being cut together.
@@tawnykyle-cm5eq I know, i just didnt want to compliment the Tau
My dream come true. Please tell me next battle is Knights vs Monster Tyranids list
They have a warlord titan. They have to use it more often
Yes! Seeing a game with a hierophant would be amazing.
@@khorneflakes4446 I can hear the Pacific Rim theme playing at that thought lol
@@amromatz Does anyone in the Play on Tabletop group play nids?

The Riptides experimental energy sword awoke things within me.
Yeah..fear
Did it actually achieve... anything though?
Check out the sword on the Perfect Strike and Destiny Gundams.
@@soulboost964 It's less the sword itself and more the fact that it's on a T'au model.
I know right? But can’t have melee Tau at *all* because I guess Tau only get to play 2 phases of a 5 phase game......
This might be the most enjoyable battle report I've ever watched. So much excitement and fun for both players
Crazy high energy, made it very fun to watch.
All those Daemons surrounding that Shas'o Kickass'o is giving me mad Doomslayer vibes, like I can hear "The only thing they fear is you" or "BFG Division" from that one part of the board lol
Sha'so Kik'aso was literally just as cool as the titanic duel lol XD
*chaos* tau in melee this won't take long
*kickasso* I WILL HOLD THE LINE FOR THE GREATER GOOD!
Dang, can't wait to see the battle on the beautiful board. Also, the fact that Nick, who is probably one of the most positive and passionate people I've ever met, and the reason I actually decided to start collecting Warhammer 40k minis (T'au to be precise) is taking part in this battle is amazing. For the greater good!
I agree fellow member of the greater good!
I havent gotten around to making a tau army yet but I do have a soft spot for them
same, man
Nick's passion for Tau and his positive energy on screen is the same reason i've started a Tau army :D
NICK FOR TAU EMERPOR!
Ah yes Fellow Followers of the greater good
I don’t normally comment on too many CZcams videos but I HAD to comment here. Between this and the narrative battles, y’all are putting out so much high quality content. That was genuinely one of the most exciting battle reports I’ve ever watched, PLEASE do more of these special battles.
Glad you enjoyed the video enough to earn us the comment. Thank you for watching!
The end! The end was fantastic! I get so hyped screaming with Nick "for the greater good!" Too! this man knows how to entertain!
This is my favorite tau channel
Awww. Thanks! Wait? Tau channel...
How can you not just get, like, unreasonably excited about this battle? My favourite episode yet!
Glad it could live up to the hype.
You all always present amazing armies on beautiful boards, and the episodes are consistently well edited to be 40-50 mins of great fun! Thanks for all the hard work and positivity you bring to the hobby!
Man can’t wait, for this
I think everyone agrees that we need a Pacific Grim Part 2!!!
I think it would be cool with imperial knights and a crusher stampede tyranid list.
"I think it gives you an extra inch in Charge"
6 in warm waters 😏
These have to be some of the coolest models on one of the coolest tables I've ever seen.
Don't you love it when it all comes together perfectly. We do.
2700 points?! Thats the biggest battle (except apocalypse) on your chanel yet! Super excited, cant wait!
that ending with the riptide getting two demons at once-Nick must be so happy split firing actually worked for once!
That riptide got a spear?!?!?
Why not!?
@@PlayOnTabletop LMAO
Nick and Tycho exemplify the people I love playing with and against.... it's all about the fun 😁 smiles all around! 👍👍
Loving the ship reference haha
Who else cheered out loud when nick got payback before he ejected out?
The Live chat seemed to enjoy it!
I swear Nick is the only person who can look cool while playing tau
Loved it! Also loved how tau nick got a multi kill at the very end :D
The final stand then escape hahahaha brilliant, lives the tell the epic tale to his people
two massive armies, two massive personalities, one amazing game
Nick is the single best thing about Play on tabletop
That creature caster model for Kairos is by far the coolest and most demonic one of the bunch. So cool!
This may be the singularly best battle report I've ever seen. Player rapport, silliness, gorgeous models. It personifies the best of what this hobby brings "to the table"
That is, without question, the most amazing game I have ever seen. Thank you all for such an experience
Absolutely great. A treat to see the tau but with these beautiful models and large battles this was absolutely amazing
I didn’t think about charging as I only have 1 monster unit, but now I think about that it’s very smart! Kudos nick!
Wow, just fantastic. I really love the Creature Caster Blood-Thirster, she was hot ;).
Also, the change in some of the graphics was neat, I am glad we're getting more graphics too.
Brilliant episode, the editor did a cracking job. You can see the anime influence in some of the edits. Can't wait to see more custom models in future battles!
Table looks dope. Chaos models also look interesting.
Thank you for producing such great content. These narrative games are always the perfect blend of silliness and sheer badassery- and they're an absolute joy to watch
Tau Nick Froese is one of the coolest people in 40k as far as I'm concerned. Any Video with Nick is good times.
I love it when tiko and nick play together. There such a good mach
Oh man, this was so hype! Thanks for the content guys!
This themed battle report was just awesome. Incredible minis, fantastic terrain and great casters and editing as always. Please do more episodes like this
Nick and Tycho are always fun and positive and make games enjoyable, having them together is fun and chaotic.
I can''t believe split fire finally worked for Nick, it's a dream come true.
I swear y'alls videos are the highlight of my day, I get so excited when you post a new one
This is one of the most amazing games I've ever seen. I love you guys and your unrelenting enthousiasm so much!
Nick always gets so excited when something blows up, doesn't matter whose thing blows up it is the joy of explosions.
I have to admit my favorite part is the big handshake and good luck. The last few games I've played at my LGS opponents have put me down, insulted me, and quit when they started losing or got more aggressive when winning. It's kind of put me off playing for a while, so that's sad, but this game makes me happy.
This was amazing! Your content always brings a smile.
This was absolutly fantastic!!! Best 40k i've ever seen!
J.T. You are one awesome voice and narrator. You opening intro was fantastic especially the 40K in 40 minutes part
This is the most enjoyable battle report I've watched in YT so far. I don't even skip anything. Love the VFX and SFX, also the humors.
Yes lads! Can’t wait! Amazing looking minis & a great board!
Why must we wait 😢
So that people know in advance when it comes out so we can watch with you! And to be fair to our patrons who get early access.
@@PlayOnTabletop I understand ;) just love the content so much and the tau are my favourite.

Awesome battle! Great board, great models, great theme and great energy and silliness from the crew! Brilliant content!
Awesome episode guys! Thanks for keeping my interest in Tau alive :)
Love all your videos and this incredible tabletop has just raised the game even higher. Amazing 🤩
This has to be one of the best videos you guys put out. Give us more kaiju battles
i love how you guys do custom stuff like this. makes us lore players so happy!!!
I think this is the most fun battle i’ve ever seen. Great job guys.
You guys are the reason i got into the tabletop part of 40k. Keep it up!!
Insanely epic! That last part was literal perfection, true vengeance!
This was a truly epic game and is one of my new favorites from you guys keep these coming!!!!
probably the best batrep yet! awesome board, great cinematic plays, and amazing energy from the players. was rooting for the tau the whole time, but damn if it wasn't exciting to watch! nice job guys!
I really like both of these dudes. By far the most fun hosts on your chanel. Not competitively minded at all, but I enjoy the way they just "play". Very refreshing, thank you!
This was a great video and beautiful setting
Loved it and FOR THE GREATER GOOD
Just keeps getting better and better!
I'm soooo glad I came across this today by accident. Love the energy and love the format for how it's presented. It's like real sports but for Warhammer for the tabletop!!! Don't change and keep the coolness going 😎👍
This was amazing, thank you for the wonderful content!
I love what your team is doing. For as much skill and production value as you guys put out, what is at the forefront is your absolute passion for the hobby and community. As someone who is more new to 40k and tabletop gaming, every time Play On puts out a new video, I go straight back to painting that model I've been working on or reading the codex again because I get that excited for my next battle. Keep it up!
Amazing armies, figures and battle report! Not only a great production but very entertaining.
PD: Excellent idea of separating each phase in the video.
The Points say he lost, but that the Splitshots worked made him Win for me. Nick, I'm going to dedicated every split shot to you from now on that was Amazing hahaha.
FOR THE GREATER GOOD!!
This was absoluetly amazing.
I didnt get the chance to play myself yet, since i started collecting and painting deep into the pandemic last year, but you guys make it look so incredibly fun.
I love how into the theme everyone got. These narrative reports are always my favorite
This is one of the most awesome gaming tables and some of the most glorious models! Well done guys :) That is some action for the big screen ;)
You guys always have so much stinkin’ fun! Makes it that much harder to wait til in person gaming is back on the table for the rest of us.
probably the best looking armies and table I've seen, this sure was a labor of love
I propper laughed out loud when I saw "Evergreen"
How can one not give this a thumbs up? You guys rock! And thanks for keeping me inspired. Always watch your vids when I paint, to get me in the zone. And this time the scenery just blew everything out of the water. Who knew a tropic island scene would work so well?
This is a super cool match. I always love Nick's enthusiasm!
This was so fantastic, bravo.
Far and away one of the best battle reports I have ever seen
Love the enthusiasm Tycho and Nick brought to this match. That split-fire paying off was an epic conclusion, wonderful work guys!
Great content as always, really enjoyable. Thank you guys 👍
This was an excellent battle report with some absolutely bonkers encounters and rolls, seriously cool stuff.
Man was that ever epic! Great pacing, great editing, awesome effects, beautiful overlays and above all, GOOD sportsmanship with even the loser laughing and having fun, exactly what battle reports should be!
If it wasnt for the awesome battles on this channel I never would have gathered the pluck to delve into 40k. Chaos v. Tau was the first battle report i ever saw and oh boy what a fight
I love every episode. You can feel how much fun they had. gg guys
Just wanted to comment on J.T’s increasing skill in narration. He adds such a nice and clear touch to it with his great narration work great job!
