Good luck with your controller skills on the job market out there... I played the first ever FPS games out there like wolfenstein 3D, Quake 1 when they came out. So sad to hear this. I hadn’t picked up a competitive shooter since Black Ops and Halo 3 but about 2 years ago my friends kept trying to get me to play apex. I was in my indie/rpg game era but I came to apex and I was trash and super overwhelmed but something about the game just had that IT factor. Long story short thanks you and Timprovision I went from a hard stuck gold player to consistently being able to hit diamond and masters each season. If this is the end I really appreciate all the knowledge you gave to me and so many others
You're vids have helped me improve a lot over the years. Thank you for all your efforts, Mangos! If I may say, I am totally with you - this game has been my favorite game to play for 5 years now. I still love it and enjoy playing it for the most part. I've never taken a break from it since starting in season 2. But I will be honest I think my time with the game is sadly coming to an end as well. I have reached my ceiling, and I'm just tired of getting effortlessly curb stomped by players who are just naturally better at the game than I am. It gets tiring match after match getting merk'd by the same no life sweats with tens of thousands of kills and the MM doesn't adjust - just keep piling it on.

Its just lack of causal player support thats killing it for me they keep listening to like top 10% of the games players and make changes based on that making the other 90% suffer somehow making the game less fun causal new players just dont enjoy the changes they keep making its just not causal friendly
I know you're probably not going to see this, but you're the guy that got me to start using controller, I never looked back. I stopped playing Destiny for a while and picked up Apex instead. Your controller gameplay got me onto the sticks and your videos helped me improve, and when I finally got back into Destiny, I started using controller and my rank doubled. SBMM is what has ruined this game. Hear me out…if the average player keeps getting destroyed, they quit or they CHEAT to keep up. We’ve seen both happen. People are quitting, or they’re cheating.
No SBMM isn't gonna help that. The average player is much less likely to do well or have fun without it. You think people losing to people of their own skill level is bad, it's much worse when they get mopped by someone they know they cannot possibly beat in any scenario.

This sucks especially for me I didn't start playing untill season 17bamd the learning curve was SUPER hard coming from a 3rd person or even a cod background. I rely heavily on guys like you, District, and TimproVision to help me ... Some nights I just feel so bad at the game I want to quit.. But I like playing g with the Friends I made.. I wish you luck man and am super upset to lose you as a resource... Dying over and over again is stressful but I'm trying.. Even I have noticed THE MASSIVE increase in Smurfs and aimbotters/cronus users in just my few seasons. Thanks for the help man..

very understandable. im not a content creator, but im someone that used to grind ranked nearly every season alone or sometimes with a friend. i did the first split of ranked this season, but once we reached diamond (like season 20) it became totally infested with cheaters. i havent played for over a month atp and i dont plan to either. ill watch competitive play and thats it. i dont really like people saying the game will "die" because it really wont. i play a game called APB: Reloaded, which has a very small playerbase, of about 300-400 concurrent players, but its still very much alive. i doubt apex will ever get close to those numbers, so it most definitely wont "die" in that sense

This one hurts. Your fate regarding next season will probably dictate the likelihood of my return as well. I'm on my second break in 6 months after like 4 consecutive years of playing (even if there were on-and-off moments here and there) and it feels like that really speaks to the state of the game. I really hope apex can recover - I didn't want this to be when i stopped. But, gotta read the room and there are too many other good games and other things in life I can be doing. Anyways, thanks for all the videos mangos - you helped me solo to plat and even if I never get any further than that, Apex defintely had some good times.
Your videos were, and are, very inspirational. As someone who came from Borderlands but fell in love with playing against other people, the lore and style of Apex, slightly similar to BL drew me in. You helped me make the experience more enjoyable, so i wanted to thank you. The online world is very special. I'm still waiting for internet access at home to get back into it, and i was banned from playstation for a month BECAUSE of Apex. EA chose to remain neutral. Girl gamers can struggle online for many reasons, but you definitely helped me by sharing your passion for what is, essentially, an amazing game.

SBMM is what has ruined this game. Hear me out…if the average player keeps getting destroyed, they quit or they CHEAT to keep up. We’ve seen both happen. People are quitting, or they’re cheating.

No SBMM isn't gonna help that. The average player is much less likely to do well or have fun without it.
You think people losing to people of their own skill level is bad, it's much worse when they get mopped by someone they know they cannot possibly beat in any scenario.

This sucks especially for me I didn't start playing untill season 17bamd the learning curve was SUPER hard coming from a 3rd person or even a cod background. I rely heavily on guys like you, District, and TimproVision to help me ... Some nights I just feel so bad at the game I want to quit.. But I like playing g with the Friends I made.. I wish you luck man and am super upset to lose you as a resource... Dying over and over again is stressful but I'm trying.. Even I have noticed THE MASSIVE increase in Smurfs and aimbotters/cronus users in just my few seasons. Thanks for the help man..

It's great that you were honest about it. I see so many content creators just lie and say they have real life issues they have to deal with when THE REAL reason is they just found a new game to play. That's almost always the reason gamers become inactive.
i’m not big on commenting or really youtube in general, i don’t ever like or subscribe but your videos helped me to get to masters though i’ve never gotten to pred besides early season (i have a life) and i’ve been watching for about 2 years now and its sad to see you go, i quit apex recently, the battle pass changes was the point where i just said nah and deleted it, because its gotten to a point where they dont even care how bad the gameplay is and they just want to keep milking this game for as long as they can before it inevitably dies from whatever the hell they’re trying to turn apex into (thats my theory). love you mango and i hope you will be able to find happiness in whatever you decide to do in the future.

Hey bro, left the game a year ago for the same reasons. It’s sad to see it go this way but it’s pretty hard to keep these things going indefinitely. As someone who hated the game at first, it became possibly my all time favourite. I’ll always remember those first couple of years on apex and all the people I met grinding to diamond. very understandable. im not a content creator, but im someone that used to grind ranked nearly every season alone or sometimes with a friend. i did the first split of ranked this season, but once we reached diamond (like season 20) it became totally infested with cheaters. i havent played for over a month atp and i dont plan to either. ill watch competitive play and thats it.
i dont really like people saying the game will "die" because it really wont. i play a game called APB: Reloaded, which has a very small playerbase, of about 300-400 concurrent players, but its still very much alive. i doubt apex will ever get close to those numbers, so it most definitely wont "die" in that sense

This one hurts. Your fate regarding next season will probably dictate the likelihood of my return as well. I'm on my second break in 6 months after like 4 consecutive years of playing (even if there were on-and-off moments here and there) and it feels like that really speaks to the state of the game. I really hope apex can recover - I didn't want this to be when i stopped. But, gotta read the room and there are too many other good games and other things in life I can be doing.
Anyways, thanks for all the videos mangos - you helped me solo to plat and even if I never get any further than that, Apex defintely had some good times.

The online world is very special. I'm still waiting for internet access at home to get back into it, and i was banned from playstation for a month BECAUSE of Apex. EA chose to remain neutral. Girl gamers can struggle online for many reasons, but you definitely helped me by sharing your passion for what is, essentially, an amazing game.
