What are quality brands that we have forgotten on our list here? gentl.mn/get-80-percent-off-menswear
for shoes, crocket & jones, early pairs of churches, alden, lof & tung, Carlos Santos, John Lobb, Tods, Vass, Herring, Carmina, Edward green, Meermin, Loake, and Suitsupply. For clothing, It really depends on what you enjoy, but I quite like J crew, though for the most part, their suiting options look better on slimmer builds do to slim lapels, piti parma, suit supply, ministry of supply, spier and mackay. uniqlo, banana republic, prada. All options I thoroughly enjoy. Thanks again Sven!
@@legoresources His name is Raphael just so you know :)
Brioni
Kiton
For suits and jackets, brand is great but fit is king. I have some cheapos from Jos A Bank, Gap, and Banana Republic that fit as well as or better than my high end ones. As for brands, I like finding Brooks Brothers 1818 and Country Club, vintage Hart Schaffner Marx, Hickey Freeman and Canali.

"How to get 100% off" -the secret ingredient is crime ;)
For a gentleman that is not an option. We didn't even think to add the word "legally" as we just assumed viewers here would not contemplate stealing.

As a young man interested in menswear, this is a godsend! Thank you ever so much guys! Keep up the great work, it helps all us aspiring gentleman in quarantine.
Today a shipment including free suits, some still with tags today. All the gentleman wanted was the shipping cost. If I like the few he sends, he'll send me more!!! It's amazing the generosity of people. The back story is that I'm on permanent disability for MS, but still suiting up everyday helps me feel purposeful, and was reconvene to due so. This gentleman totally understood the psychological component.
I'm really glad to read that. It's incredible how much taking care of one's appearance makes for our self-esteem and confidence. It really is amazing to find such generosity from a random stranger and I'm glad you did. But don't sell yourself short either, you can't change MS but you can change your attitude towards it and you really have and are owning your life. I tip my hat to you, Sir. All the best.
Hope you didn't give them your credit card info. Probably a scam.
It wasn't à scam, my Cedarwood closet is packed with suits
@@buffalotodd5068 that's awesome! I bet you're looking quite dapper

"I have 64 GB of RAM"
I wonder what are the best PC specs for a gentleman lol
I’d say that he needs those 64gb to edit these videos together but other than that, 16gb is a good spec.
RTX 2080 Ti SLI, i9 and 5 tb SSD
@@carltrotter7622 32 gb is the sweet spot and future proof, I can pass 16 gb easily. Right now using 15.8 GB
For web browsing and basic office applications any modern PC should do. Even for Windows 10 and lots of open browser tabs, 4 GB are sufficient as long as the page file (virtual RAM) is large enough. Of course, more GBs will increase the performance of your PC as it reduces swapping to and from the page file. Modern OSs will also use most of the free RAM for caching disk access, so it will often appear that it is all used, when in fact only part of it is allocated by applications and the rest can be freed quickly if needed.
@@IkeFoxbrush I have no idea on what you mean by many tabs. In my definition 50+ tabs is many tabs.
If you use Chrome, passing 10 GB is very easy. in 2020 16 GB should be the bare minimum. 10 years ago I used 8 GB and would pass the limit easily not idea how you can get away with just 4 GB that is not enough for Chrome web browsing in my use case.
19:35 super secret trick: if the seller is like most people, they don't know specific niche things. If the label from a brand differs for those things, searching the label terms sometimes shows under-priced items. The seller might only know to include the terms because they're different and seem important by a consequence of that.
Yes!! This is very useful
Cracking info- ebay has been my menswear superpower! It's how I got my barracuta G9, a beautiful Austin Reed winter coat for ~£20, down from ~£150, and if I play my cards right I'll get a Suitsupply blazer for about a fiver. Quality Content as always, chaps!
* Frantically starts misspelling menswear brands in the Ebay search box *
I managed to get 80% off by holding my Tommy gun up to the shopkeep.
^ Joke ^
I love these videos, can’t wait to see part two!
It works every time! The one problem I had was that the police kept coming to my house, but this was a very small problem.
I like your price, but my Tommy Gun don't.
@@Victor-fw5md Fantastic, right?

I love this!! I'd love it if you did more videos about vintage clothing. Recently I've been collecting ties from the 1930's on Ebay, and these tips encourage me to expand beyond that. Thanks for the excellent content as always!
It feels good to see that I've been doing this right for the past year... I don't make a large amount of money, so I had to learn how to shop on eBay and get some amazing deals.
Thank god, Raphael.
Thank you so much cause I'm just a broke college student trying to be in this classical menswear style.
And again, thank you!!!
Gentleman's gazette has kept me going through this pandemic. Thank you guys for posting
I managed to get a jacket from Hayward's which was on mount Street (one over from saville row) that originally cost £1500 for about £20 on eBay. Never be afraid of buying second hand!
Back in the 1980's I was in school and GQ was my Bible. Not so much anymore. Thank you for this channel and upholding standards that they dropped a long time ago. I wish to dress properly and look like something other than a Hip-Hop Star.

Following your advice I have had a lot of success buying quality vintage clothes.
My best purchase was a vintage MTM fresco suit by Gieves and Hawkes. This came with a notched lapel jacket and two pairs of trousers, one with turn ups and one without. Both trousers have side adjusters and buttons inside the waist for braces.
Every time I wear this suit I feel great and receive a lot of compliments.

Took me a long time (and several mistakes) to learn much of this. Good Video. How about 80% off at Fort Belvedere- now that I could get excited about.
Another great video Mr. Schneider! Many thanks and keep up the good work!!
I always watch GG - again, great video! Those guides are very helpful. Thanks and keep up putting up such valuable content! :)
I look forward to part two! Inlove eBay since it has allowed me to dress up for super cheap :) 5 bucks for a nice italian made suit, and 20 for the alterations
One of the most practical videos of all; Bravo Sven and the GG team!
Thank you so much for this information! Thanks to your techniques, I was able to get a mint condition Custom Martin Greenfield Deep Charcoal Pinstripe Hand Tailored Suit in my size for $200. I told my tailor and she gasped and dropped her tools in shock.
My other advice is to set up email alerts that tell me when new listing appear for saved searches, that way I don’t have to check up manually on general searches.
You guys are awesome! Love your videos. I also love that your pursuit of quality and excellence in mens wear extends to your use of language. Even though you are not native English speakers, you speak with an eloquence and clarity that exceeds 90% of native speakers!👏👏👏
Excellent tips! Very thorough and helpful! I also find that knowing your brands can help you to locate extraordinary deals on items that have poor photos and descriptions. I have often purchased exquisite items that remained unsold and dropped heavily in price because the photos looked unappealing, ie wrinkles, bad lighting, or poor white balance that makes items look yellowish or greenish. Also, prices tend to be cheaper on used menswear during the summer and in January as those are slow seasons for tailored clothing.
Thank you for not Clickbaiting and getting straight to the point
Thank you for this marvelous video! I had no idea this was possible. BTW, Love your outfit man!
Immediately after seeing this I went on Ebay and wishlisted a couple of tweed jackets. I got discount from 150 pounds to 100 pounds within an hour on one of two items I watched :D
Been on Ebay for 10 years and didn't know that sellers offer discounts this way. But I never shopped for clothing here. Thanks for the advice!
I have put a "like" simply because I like the outfit you wear in the video and of course because of the useful info you are sharing as per usual. Keep up the good work!
This is such great information for those on a low budget like me. So thank you very much for making this video!!!
Thank you for these money saving tips. I shop in eBay every week as part of my work, and your tips have added some new twists to my search protocol.
For sure another next level content 🤜🤛
This is a very useful video. I particularly liked the advice to search for the less well known but equivalent quality brands.
I found this video to be the most useful, to me, of all your videos. Some of these tips I’d already discovered on my own but there was some real gold in this video. Thanks, Raphael! Also, it would be great if eBay sellers would start using the “half back” measurement for jackets. This would be especially useful for those of us who are not built like Olympic swimmers or body builders.
Excellent video! I always like searching for ties on eBay. It’s easy to get overwhelmed though. Very helpful
This is one of the most informative videos on men's clothing ever!
I was really lucky to find a vintage Italian linen suit in my exact size on eBay, I've worn it a lot since I got it, I would recommend eBay for young menswear enthusiasts on a budget.
Great video! Important EBay points to consider!
What a great video . Loaded with great advice with function to it. Many thanks.
Love the editing on this one
Great video! Awesome color jacket by the way.
Thank you Raphael for sharing and advising it was very useful to me.
I would like to see a video reviewing the Cuadra brand. I have bought multiple boots and other leather goods and I am always impressed by the quantity and attention to detail!
6:20 thats a true gentleman being honest, keep up the good work.
I got a polyester jacket with yellow patches. Only $500 what a bargain. Thanks for the tips.
That’s on an extraordinary way helpful. What a pretty cool Video! ✌️🔥😄
Outstanding primer on Ebay strategy for finding excellent men's fashion garments and a lot more to boot! I myself am a believer having bought and restored some extraordinary high quality shoes for a song and clothing articles as well. Thank you, and killer suit BTW!
Haha my parents use the trick of placing their final bid literally seconds before the listing ends. It's very handy!
Thanks Raphaël & the rest of the club. Now what do punch in exactly to get the set that you're wearing during this presentation? Really Nice 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼
Wow, this was actually video with a great information value, I honestly expect just "buy it pre-owned" message.
Special thanks to Ralf (I think?) for the brand names, that is golden!
I have a question, if I may.
I'm tall and slim and most jackets will have short sleeves for me. Anyone has the same problem? Only solution I figured is to send message and ask for sleeve length before order?
Thanks you guys, I love your channel.
I honestly learned a lot from that ebay guide, thank you!
Fantastic video! Thank you!
Thank you for this very helpful video!
Excellent video extremely useful tips thank you!
Vintage ties and suits seem to be made with higher quality and care, usually. I am getting into vintage on postmark and eBay. Thank you for the tips.
Great video! I just want to point out that pressing the "Ctrl" key and clicking on a link will open it in a new tab in the background, and I personally think that might be easier than using LinkClump
Oh wow. Now this is a quality video!!
This is extremely valuable information!
Awesome video!
Hello, thank you for these very practical tips. 🤙
These pro tips awesome, Thx
That is some great advice here 👍
Great advice. Thank you.
Sven, because of you ebay is now empty when it comes to finding new pieces for my wardrobe. I used to love watching your channel but now I hold a grudge. Lol
I needed this thank you
Rafael, I just wanna buy your items which make a lot of sense.
But then I have to watch all your videos again so I remember how to combine them.
Are there pictures, like a catalog/compilation of you showing the combinations like in the videos?
Best video in awhile.
I am addicted to this channel
I tried brioni and zegna jackets in a store once, loved the quality but too expensive for me. I searched on ebay and was surprised on the price difference. I have remade my wardrobe almost from scratch with high quality items 95% off retail in the last 2 years. Now I have 3 sport jackets (2 brioni, 1 zegna), 2 suits (brioni and attolini) about 10 -12 high end shirts, ferragamo leather blazer... and a few other pieces of nice clothing. Everything looks great after some tailoring.
I love my “New Used” bargain wardrobe!! Never tried used shoes...
I got a nice dark green overcoat made out of wool for only £10 from eBay. Remains one of the best deals I have ever found.
Now this is quality content.
Vielen Dank, dies wird dem zukünftigen Geschäft helfen!
Raphael is making waves, baby!
This is legit. I just reloaded on business wardrobe after years working from home and hammered pre-owned high quality clothes on ebay. This video is spot-on. Sophisticated sellers (there are many) give reliable quality measurements. You can do alterations, return sometimes, and be willing to accept some misses. Good sellers show photos of the measurements. Pay close attention to the photos; look carefully. Shoes and belts too. Pennies on the dollar for timeless items. Also, never pay asking price. Always offer low. Just watchlisting an item will result in reduced offers from sellers. Never offer asking price at first.
I would love to see a video on how dress in tropical climates. I live in Florida and to dress in a casual suit during the summer just wont cut it. It's hot outside and light clothes is very normal wear. You can use the styles if you're going to a restaurant or a event. Just would like to other options.
28:26 Good call on buying from the same seller. I gave up with Lands End since alot of their sizing was all over the place. Found someone selling my exact size and turns out he had 4 pairs of the same pants for like $20 bucks.. Well worth it...
Brilliant!
Great article and very interesting and usefull. I'm allways afraid buying through Internet because of the sizes of whatever ítem I like.
This guy is the definition of class
Came for the style, stayed for the wisdom.
Very clever and well-done. however, I'm starting to have trouble with ordering online in spite of the recommendations .. i prefer to buy something in person off the rack than to have to repack and lug returns back to the usps. In theory, an excellent approach though. I will keep trying.
Been waiting for this, thank you good sir.
What else are you waiting for?
@@gentlemansgazette not much, but thanks for asking!
Perfect for me..thanks
2:30 I usually tell people to buy an accessory or something they wouldn't buy pre-owned.
Finally after following the channel for 4 years.
I got a wool ovsrcoat in herringbone this way, shopping for used or pre-owned garments. The lining had a tear, which is no big deal for me, I can fix that and nobody sees it. Total: $2 equivalent.
I recently bought a "used" Canali double-breasted Coat made out of 50% Mohair / 50% Wool for just 40€. That's a good catch imo
Dear Swen, I have never thought of buying used clothes, especially from ebay. My question is, would you recommend having s/h clothes dry cleaned before wearing them? A friend once gave me his good quality shoes which no longer fitted him. But wearing shoes from someone you don't know, well, I'm not sure I would be too happy that! Anway, I can't wait to look on ebay, but I'm sure the choice will be very limited on the UK ebay site compared to the USA. Thank you for another most intersting video. You come over as a really nice chap.
@16:13 regarding the crashing browser: many browsers nowadays have the option to start with the tabs from the last session, so when they crash and you start them up again, chances are good you get your tabs back. Also they might be configured to only load a tab upon activating, so when you start with 20 tabs on a new browser (after a crash), each page would be loaded when activated so you don't immediately have a crash again.
It’s just a pity I live in South Africa because the shipping alone costs around 10-15$ from most places
Great video
Raphael, to open new cards next to each other you don't need any extension. Just simply press scrolling wheel in the mouse.
Unfortunately when you are 6' 6", finding a bargain is more of a challenge
I’ve noticed on eBay, at least in 🇬🇧 that “sports coat/jacket” brings up Adidas jackets and sportswear so filtering is key!
I like watching your Videos as though i dress very diferently. I like my jordan 1s my cargos and my oversized tee. Good vids though
Second hand and vintage always helps
Thanks a million awesome video very interesting
