Chasing #hairtail and #blueswimmercrab at the Hawkesbury River.
Perfect conditions in the morning and as predicted the wind would pickup around midday and it sure did.
All Hairtail caught using #roundherring caught from Sydney Harbour.
With a broken mirage drive sprocket I had no choice but to use only the electric motor today and I’m very happy that I had 42% battery left.

@@srduckyoce1084ahh yes I use a thin Velcro strap prob about 1cm wide and wrap a stainless steel key ring around the rod. I make sure the Velcro isn’t on too tight to allow it to slide up and down the rod butt. Also make sure you have atleast one wrap around the rod before securing the key ring to avoid scratches.
