- Back on the road an this week i decided to fish the Hawkesbury river, with the water still murky and lots of debris still around the boating and fishing was tough. Jump on board an see how the day panned out an dont forget to LIKE an SUBSCRIBE if u enjoy the content. Cheers legends
Top quality video Andrew your footage is fantastic.
Also I think you had a good day on the water well done.
Cheers reg, half decent day out ther at least. An iv bn working on the videos a bit more so glad ur enjoying them mate 👍
Good stuff lowy. Loving the vids
Thanks heaps mate its awesome that youve bn liking the content. Thanks for watching 🙏
Good session sir! Crushing as usual!😊
Much appreciated Matty, its always nice to be out there fishing regardless of what i catch 👍
Good work Andrew👌 Those drone shots of your boat under way are awesome👍 That hairtail was a strange one, must have looked tasty to a bigger fish. Conditions looked better down there than Lake Mac on Saturday, it was blowing N N/W early and kept blowing until I packed it in about 10.30. I only managed 4 under size jewfish before sunrise, but cant use any of the video as the quality was crap in the low light. Then only 4 flatties after sunrise.
The gopros are awful in low light an wind pete, ive bn using the drone more of late just seeing what it can do. Much steeper banks there to hide still gets windy once ur in the open but. An 4 undersize jewys is still decent mate id have taken them 🤣
used to get a lot of very large hairtail fishing newcastle harbour around the wheat silos and along those concrete wharves along the river , still see very small ones caught these days .
There an interesting looking fish an a different fight on a lure mate. Wasnt sure what i had on. Yer newy harbour they usee to come in big numbers. Probably fished out these days.
Loving it mate. Keep em coming 🤙🤙
Thanks alot adrian 🤙🏻
Just subscribed, please keep the great content coming.🐠🐠🐠
Thanks alot addie glad u enjoyed it 👍
Nice little expedition, least you got a few. better than work still.
2 hrs is a long time between bites & a fish, starts to get disheartening after that long
Cheers
That an dodging logs when moving spots 🤣 a bit sketchy when u watch full trees go past the boat almost under water. Got a few more spots but now stevo so im happy to gain info each trip an slowly work it out 👍
@@Lowysfishing
Yeah trees are a bit sketchy, bring on the next adventure
Great stuff lowy some good spots up there keep the videos coming!!
Yer looks great everywhere up there thats the problem. Alot of water between the decent fish. I will keep at it a good session there is just around the corner 👍 thanks for watching mate.
@@Lowysfishing yeah mate I’m a berowa local you should give it a go up there pretty much every point holds fish !
@@CoopersFishing1 i think i follow u on insta mate. Unless its another cooper who slays jewys 🤣
Nice one Lowy, bloody cold lately... at least you land some fish , thanks again for sharing
Those early starts flying up the waterways isnt much fun in winter crebo. Id still rather b fishing but than working 🤣 thanks for watching 👍
I’m stuck at home waiting for Tyres for my boat trailer Tuesday.
Just got trough my first Covid.
Hope to hit the Hawkesbury next week.
Only fish weekday.
Well done again mate.🤩
Hopefully this rain isnt too bad mate its just starting to clear up. Ive had covid once took me ages to feel better so hopefully u come good an can back out there 👍
Woohoo a new Lowysfishing video! Love the videos mate, doesn't look as tough as the description alludes to, keep them coming!
I fished all day to get those 🤣 that an the cold an the logs in the water made for an interesting day. Not much biting either as u can see. Always fun but either way. Thanks for watching 🤙🏻
@@Lowysfishing it always looks better on CZcams 🤣. I went out yesterday and it started slow but got a good feed in the end, no logs in Lake Mac though!🤙
@@LakeMacLocal awesome mate glad u got a feed thats mad 👍
Awesome vid lowy, keep them coming legend
Thanks mate. U get that longtail on video ?
@@Lowysfishing yeah sure did, episode will be up next week. Was a great morning on the water, we had such good weather for a while now it up to shit again hahaha
@@slappintails so sick mate cant wait to watch it. Yer more rain on its way 😫
@@Lowysfishing yep wind and rain 😩 I’ve got Wednesday morning off, was gonna go for a flick but might just have a sleep in instead haha
Good stuff mate I want to go there next week what weight jig heads do I need there thanks mate
Im using a 5/8 mostly as im fishing at least 20-40 ft of water with current. Even when i fished bar point in 15 ft i used the heavy head just to feel the lure still. Tide rips hard there.
@@Lowysfishing Thankyou mate love your videos . Also how long off a leader do you run
@@JordanFenech-cf4nc usually i start with almost 2 rod lenghts but im using an fg knot so its fine. If you dont use an fg i probably wouldnt do it that long as the knot will cause issues when casting 👍
Lowy, Do u have any suggestions of good fishing spots in hawks nest and tea gardens
Ive only fished off the beach at hawks nest mate. Got some tailor an salmon. At tea gardens ive fished the river a few times, i think there on previous videos somewhere. The bridge fishes ok there same around the oyster racks too. Really good spot for hardbodys for bream and flattys great structure for it. An if your using plastics theres plenty of rockwalls and small dropoffs to cast at most of the way through the system. A few marine park zones to watch out for but there.
@@Lowysfishingthanks mate
Hey Lowie thanks for the vids truly inspirational. Just wondering what’s the best depth for using the trans am. Can it be in the shallows?
Glad u enjoy them mate, fun to make as im always out there anyway so why not just record it. Ive used trannys in the lighter models under 15 ft an they work well. I think the lighter ones are 12grams. Normally under 20 ft is my cutoff for the 20gram trannys then il switch to the 12 gram 👍
@@Lowysfishing appreciate the the quick reply and the advice will be trying to emulate your performance as often as possible 👍
@@user-um8gq5pf2z no worries mate i can normally reply at some point the same day depending on work etc. good luck out there 👍
i was out today, it was dreadful…. SO COLD. couple squid tho
Looked pretty bad out there mate today. Rain an cold, not that i was much warmer this day. Hopefully the squid were a good size anyway mate 👍
Awesome video as per usual mate. Was also out on sunday in the Hawkesbury and was just tough. Been chasing a jew for about 8 months now and still no luck.. Do you personally just pick random rock walls to fish?
Cheers mate, i like rockwalls that have a bit of water flow along them. Seems to trap the bait a bit. An also look for eddies there usually great fish holding places on the run out tides.
@@Lowysfishingawesome man thanks heaps! Will head out in the hawkesbury this weekend again and update you if the elusive jewy has been caught 😂
Sorry about the spam comments too phone went crazy
@@KhyeNelson-hanss all good mate mines done that before aswell. Good luck this weekend i might see u there. Come say hello if u see me out there 🤙🏻
