Great video Daz, I am thinking of putting a moving bed after my multi chamber. I am pump fed but I believe it will be very benificial.

Yeh with a moving bed I think the best speed is a nice simmer as long as all media is moving 👍

Hi mate I have always said you simmer nicely not to slow but not to the point of boiling and on my old moving bed I had it like yours...but as you are aware there are changes going on at mo so it not on 👌👍👍👍

I will have a look at my media and speed up the pump. Thanks for the info. If you can get back to me reference the bottom drain email that will be good. Great update.

Super intresting 👍🏻it's somthing I have been trying to work out after having a large bio around 500ltrs of k1 in it for some reasonit wasn't maturing I put it down to dwell time but this is a great point now I have made a 2000 gallons bio chamber 🤣 yep it's huge you can swim in it but I have got 18 air disks Turing it over much faster ao hopefully I have now coverd that area of it aswel great topic 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

That's some bio chamber bear in mind you can have too much media and not have much biofilm

Yes totally agree with to much bio 👍🏻 but I hit a brick wall last year with parameters couldn't feed what I wanted on previous years with less fish but slightly bigger I haven't gone mad with the media in the new bio just a few extra bags for now

@@leegraham1732 if you can't keep nitrite nitrate down it's probably too much media as the bio film becomes thinner

I think we all had the same idea over the weekend as i looked at my media aswell . Mine is as you know a nexus 300 and im putting 65 ltrs through it and its turning over at a good rate with that . If you look at my saturday video you will see how dark my media is and also agreevon helex being far superior to k1 , although some of my K1 is over 20yrs old 😉👍👍 good topic by the way Daz 😁
