It really brings back some memories like when he totally rejected Rem in that instance.
I love how this anime completely deviates from the normal style of storytelling and doesn't give what the people want (Rem X Subaru), but instead keeps it realistic and true while also remain so interesting, I love it.
Yep, the author doesn't pander to the audience. In fact, he takes hard shots towards the audience (ie. Subaru = lazy otaku failure)
It's awesome that it doesn't have such banalities, or cliches... Amazing!
dont know about that, if talking about cliche then it probably is since subaru already choose the main heroine(emilia).although now REM is the focus, emilia was, is and will be the focus of subaru ( and this from the very beginning of the anime). #REMBESTWAIFU

If there's an OVA, I think there will be mostly the "what-if" episode, it tells what would have happened if Rem would have run away with Subaru, just wait for it :D
It's almost unbelievable how much faith and care for Subaru she has even though she knows she will probably never get together with Subaru after that rejection in episode 18...I wish I could have someone who could also give the same, unshakable care for me as Rem does for Subaru...#TeamRem forever :')
Re:Zero is an anime that has made me breathe in relief because it's not full of clichés, rather it's full of outstandingly beautiful story and character development. Not to also mention these OST's...it effectively portray's the character's feelings (in this case, Rem's wish to be with Subaru forever).
I think it's time that I've also stopped being lazy and pick up my lazy ass and post some transcriptions on my channel. Another awesome job Ishter! :3
It's a COMPLETE DECONSTRUCTION of the fantasy world. The MC is actually human (*cough* plot armor Kirito god mode *cough*) and actually capable of realistic character development like a true person. Lots of respect for Subaru.
Also, the glowing kindness in Rem's heart puts her as #1 spot anime waifu. Truly the waifu we need, but we don't deserve...

In the scene where Subaru was talking to Rem in the anime, in the light novel Rem says I don't mind being your second wife and Subaru said he would accept the offer if Emilia allowed polygyny, then Rem said she would try her best to convince Emilia xD. Dunno why it wasn't added to the scene in the anime, would have been entertaining to see :(
Same here. Rem give all of us what a couple should be. A total faith, a total support, a total sacrifice, and a total love. So sad yet so dramatic. It's make my heart hurt so much when subaru rejects rem confession. But it's what make the story wonderful. The author of rezero, the character designer of rezero, white fox as studio which make the anime, all the voice actor, and all the composer. They all awesome people making awesome masterpiece.

It was like one of the sweetest and most adorable things EVER watching Rem's conversation with Subaru about how she thought so far ahead of living with him and starting a family together. Re: Zero had me hooked just from the synopsis of the first episode alone honestly, it hits you right in the feels whenever Subaru gets Returned
The idea of the author of re zero is mock on the fantasy genre, he himself said that hated the actual anime industry and thats what inspired him to write re zero
So much feels. But they both knew it's not the way to go, because it's running away. Rem turned Subaru's request down even though they both want to just run away and have a happy life. Rem is a true waifu. ;_;

If you want to read an alternate story, that isn't canon that is written by the author you can read them on Reddit. If you can't find them I'll link them to you. The story is a 'What If' Rem decided run away with Subaru to Kararagi instead of convincing him to stay and face the challenges.

After watching episode 18, you can tell the song is suited for the situation, even if you don't know the meaning behind the words--but knowing the lyrics now makes the song so much more meaningful and impactful to that entire scene, damn.

Whenever I hear this song, I want to cry. The scene rushes back into my head and I start to feel sad but then I remember what I read further on in the Light Novel. This song is my favourite. I will never forget this.

idk if its because i don't watch enough anime but this anime really just screams and spells out tragic. its such a tragic anime. I have lost count of how many moments my soul were clinging onto my heartstrings because of how intensely suspenseful the scenes are. the plot development may look slow but that very slow development pulls me in like a quick sand and suddenly i am just drowning with so many emotions but the only word that i can say is tragic.

I successfully managed to get over my Rem struggle, it wasn’t easy to say the least, I knew deep down that I won’t bring true happiness because at the end of the day, Rem isn’t real wether we like it or not, after many tears and realisation I finally grew to my senses and at long last. I have listened to this maidens cry for love without shedding a tear, it’s not easy to hear for the first time people but take it for me, it’s better that there not real, there are lots of bad people in this world but there is also some amazing ones, cherish the ones you love truly and only then will you truly feel happy.

yeah same, there's a few parts where it sounds the same lol
probably cause it's in the key of E major and it's got the little part at 1:47 where it goes down then up is the same. :D heh there's only so many little subsets of like 4 or 5 notes you can have,.but it also helps that it's Theishter's style. (*Edit*: my bad it sounded so much like it, but I think orange is in the key of E minor. so this is the major version. :D anyway there's a lot of similarities. )
+Roescoe1 Well I have always played Orange in G (which is the same as Em) since i feel like it resolves to G. I end the song on a G major chord

Though I suppose you're saying it seems to be in G, which I guess is all how you feel about the piece. Since you see it as a major then I suppose you could play it in G whilst I could pay it in E minor.
+Roescoe1 - it's probably just my arrangement style. E major's minor variant is C# minor, not E minor so it doesn't relate at all xD
