  • NOTHING else has kept my hyperactive grandson focused, and busy, and happy for so long... except, of course, a walk down the creek in the summer: • Four-Year-Old In Paradise

This is a very bright young boy. I think he was just bored with toys targeted for four year olds. You did two things. You gave him challenging things to play with AND you played WITH him. He will remember playing with grandpa for a very long time. So valuable! Well done gramps, well done.
Best video I’ve seen in a long time.
He will be very excited the next time he visits. What a wonderful thing you did.

I just love this for all of you! I have spent countless hours in my garage wood shop with my grand daughter (only 1 of them is mechanically inclined). My grand daughter is grown now and our garage time is the highlight of most of our fond memories.

You're really onto the start of something that could rival the giants like lego. I'm imagining different steel/aluminum connector hardware to make angles and stacks. Tons of other features that lego can't even implement like decent wheels and lights.

Watching your grandson was very relaxing and brought back old memories.

What a fantastic concept. I wish I had seen this 10 years ago when my daughter was young. Guess I'll have to wait until I get grands myself.
I hope you all have a wonderful time as you grow this box and he learns more. But dont leave out that granddaughter in this. Get her in on learning how hardware and tools work 😊

men, women, both can use sewing machines or work on cars... it's mostly conditioning so lets not suggest limits on what various people can do, the more capable humans in the world the better. :-) good video. later you can add a vise and maybe a drill brace so the kid can add holes , it's awesome because you can keep dripping materials and tools into the system. pretty soo they will be designing from scratch!

I really enjoy all of your videos, Herrick, and this one is a stroke of Genius!!! My son and daughter-in-law are expecting their first child (a boy, and
My first grandchild) in about 6 weeks. I’m definitely going to keep a record of this video to put to use in a couple years. They live in East Greenbush, NY so I plan on traveling there this spring. Ill be sure to give you a wave as I drive to their home for visits! 😉

I did something similar time ago for one of my nephews birthday, I was struggling with money but I knew that he liked tools a lot, so I buy a cheap screwdriver with several tips and in a pice of wood I put lots of screws with different types of heads and it was a succes, the chepeast toy, was the one he likes the most.
He runs his own bussines now.

I have hyperactive daughter unfortunatelly she used to throw stuff, so I'm little bit worry about the wrenches, especially
