"I didn't know Trandosians can fly" is the line the plays when you encounter Trandosians Elite enemies, which wear jet packs.
They don't wear jetpacks, they have fuel tanks (for some reason), and they fly up and explode if you shoot them. Hence the line.
You have to shoot the packs or my favorite part stabbing it and watching them Fly. As the magnificent Scorch says "Wheee!"
They fly now?!?!

Hey there, Captain! I've obtained some intel that might be of use to you.
The Techno Union, Commerce Guild, and all those other bootlickers in league with the CIS are all valid enemies we can attack. They can and will attack when they can. I feel sorry for those fish people on Mon Cala.
The Invincibles Cruisers are a tanky ship and can serve well. However, I've heard rumors that once a new warship is phased in, what Invincibles we got is what we're gonna have.
Speaking about ships, if we don't have the ship crews needed to build a certain ship, it won't even appear as an option. Make sure you have lots of crews ready to man those ships!
Now being the Republic, all our planets must be represented by Senators! We can't build anything military, like factories, until those have been built. Gives us a bit more influence and helps makes revolts unlikely, too. Each one gets a shield generator because of the 2 types of defenses: direct turbolasers and local shields, and planetary shields.
Best of luck dealing with the Seppies, sir! Hopefully you'll get one of those Mandators I keep hearing about under your command. That'll make them run for sure!

FYI on Coruscant, Secura is also a stealth unit, so if Delta Squad needs help, they should be reinforced by the 327th. Idk though, just a thought.
Secura & Delta squad really come in clutch during the early days of the war.
Shack don't forget the other brother, Shed. He needs to be in your story too. Coming off your Empire campaign I'd love to see Shed and Shack fighting alongside each other and growing into the characters they ultimately become.
That, and their cousin Barn, who is a die hard separatist.

As much as I should be rooting for the Republic seeing as you're playing as them Shack. I'm a droid at heart!

Well, at motherboard at least,
Few bits of advice:
1, keep supply's coming in, especially ship crews. Only way to replace losses
2, build up fighter swarms, 7 y-wings with Z95 support can wreck providence cruisers in mere moments
3, get a ground army of republic commandos, they can't raid, but they are awesome in surprise attacks, drop a couple gunships and 2 teams of commandos and you can devaste enemy positions.
4, get yourself some praetors, they will help deal with the lucrehulks the CIS like to spam out.
5, watch your hero's carefully, ain't nothing sadder than watching your leader getting overwhelmed by 5 full units of B1s, my delta squad barely made it out alive.
6, keep building ground armies on worlds near the front, local forces won't last against hell fire droids.

You can build acclamators tho, venator formations also work
@@taylorlynn2522 Yes but you talked about building up fighters that's an aotr thing in eawx you get fighters from your carriers,shipyards and defense stations only also you only need more ship crews when you exceed your ship crew cap it won't help with replacing losses and supplies are only for stopping un rest on planets they also won't help when replacing losses only trade stations and taxation offices will help when replacing losses because they help with your income
@@rmcgowa1987 I know you can't build fighters, I never discussed that option, just meant using free fighters to wreck the engines of ships, I killed trench using this method.

I like this. I recommend you plop down a Senate office on every single planet right after you conquer it. It adds influence, prevents revolts, and opens up other construction options.

Tactical advise- Acclamators have a retreat to hyperspace ability. When you press it, in about 10 seconds they flee the map and also make space in your cap pool.
All to say that when begining a battle you could bring in 10 carrier acclamators, let them deploy their fighters, jump them out and then bring in the heavy hitters with a large fighter screen from the escaped carriers.
Acclamators will recall their fighters before they jump. That feature got added in 1.1
Yeah before acclamators leave they need to recall all surviving fighters this is so you can't cheese with free fighters

Shack don't forget to team Ayla secura up with delta squad she's a stealth unit and can give them a protective buff.
You can use a strategy of setting up clone reinforcement posts and turrets and advancing with her and them them falling back to heal up. It works on most worlds except the most heavily fortified enemy planets
Seeing so many Acclimators in action makes me happy.

Not going to lie I would love to see Shack playing as the CIS as one of the noble good separatists that was wanting a more free and equal government or even as the Separatist holdouts against the Empire
Also wouldn't mind Shack playing the CIS as just a blatant corporatist villain only in it for the money.
It's good to see you back and playing my personal favourite mod for empire at war. Nice to have it be a story campaign too.
For some tactical advice I highly recommend securing the core for credit and capital ship production, and kamino. In higher difficulties the AI will push these areas hard. After that securing a supply line between the two is usually my next move.
I would recommend putting a defense fleet on the planets that border your other planets from enemy worlds. Also make sure Rishi, Kamino and the planet that has a hyperspace lane to both are well defended because someone else played this mod and lost that planet very quickly and Rishi kept getting attacked as well.
They are reworking bombers in the next update, Corey has a vid on it. They look really good.
I can still remember that crunch from tanks running over infantry in CnC. It was maddening.
Love with this mod that Delta Squad is part of the action. They're the absolute best Clones ever IMO.

So heres a tip. I dont remember if this mechanic was in version 1.0, but the opposing faction that you are not playing will start the game with a few "fortress worlds". These systems will start the game with a massive doom fleet sitting over them for defence. Dont panic if you find one because they will not leave the planet to attack you until way later in the game. The ones I can think of right now are Geonosis and Foerost in the core.
I really liked that intro. It was a cool combination of story telling and exposition for the campaign. Well done!
50:42 also! Fun FYI when using bombers near picket ships (coverttes, diamonds, small frigates) lots of picket ships have passive point defence anti missiles lasers. So they nerf the effectiveness. I think the TR team also gave bombers 2x of missiles. Blue dumb fire AOE missiles and proton bombs (I think)
Shack you got me into this incredible game with the OG Republic at War playthrough all those years ago. Awesome to see how far the modding community and channel had come since the days of CIS death stacks

I always enjoy the intros in your videos, but you gave us an especially good one this time around. Looking forward to this campaign, playing on the highest difficulty will certainly make things interesting. From what I remember playing Thrawn's Revenge, these EAW Expanded mods have a relentlessly aggressive hard AI.
Personal Log, Archfield 001
Clones. The Sith-Sworn Kaminoans were developing an ARMY OF CLONES. All work on Redeemer is frozen for the time being, so I've been attached to CIS Task-Force "Liberty" with the goal of saving Empress Teta from Republic tyranny. I have to say, being around so many battle droids is making me almost miss the days back when I was actually deployed instead of just "supervising" the tac-droids and mostly watching ships on the viewscreen exchange fire. I'd never really appreciated how durable a Lucrehulk was till now.
Still, just as I'm sure that the Republic ships weren't solely crewed by clones I know those ships of ours were crewed by biological staff, even if my remit mostly brings me in contact with more metallic comrades in arms. I've still been working on Redeemer's calculations in my free time, but I just want this whole thing over with so I can return to my research in earnest. In truth, I'd rather free-dive on Mustafar than I would keep being a "Strategic Advisor", but it's what I'm being paid to do so I suppose I can't complain too much.
I wonder who I'd have to kill to find a half decent bottle of Cassandran brandy around here...

Hey good to see you doing another story. It sucks that the Rebel one got cancelled, I'd of loved to see what you could of come up with. I look forward to seeing what you do with this story though so keep at it.
I have some prepared, but it'll depend on how the campaign goes for the most part. After all, this is only a side story.

Tactical advise- the commander building on Cardia builds TX-130 commanders teir 4 or 5 while the Kamino one builds clone commanders teir 4 or 5. You have to choose as you can only have one at a time.
These are particularly useful in a fortress world's land garrison where the extra 10% or 15% buff is nice but most importantly you dont have to worry about losing a useful hero as you will keep getting more and more of these commanders for free.
You can build company like rothian heavy engerning that decrease the cost of there stuff

What i learned when playing against the hard ai is to not have your resource production concentrated in too few planets. It will be much easier to defend a planet with production facilities and a farm or two, rather than five farms and a capital building.

Shake your space station is the Golan station but you have to build the reforcement station sepretly

watching Delta Squad methodically clear a planet with constant reinforcements was incredibly satisfying! Great work Shack!

29:31 - the reason the power gen is on every planet is because it's a dummy structure that helps branch other construction options. I think it saves a planet spot if I'm not mistaken. For example base defences gives you shield and turbo

We watched his story of how he lead a small Rebellion to victory against an Galactic Empire, now we watch his story, the humble beginnings of a lieutenant fighting for a Republic. If there is an Order 66 and rise of the Empire in this mod, that Eco log will be heart braking to hear. Either way, i hope this will be a fun campain. Love ya, and have a lovely day.
You can choose between doing Order 66 and gaining imperial units at the cost of losing your jedi, or removing palpatine from office, which I believe also unlocks a handful of OG republic units for the alternate timeline

They have no hard points so they can be healed to full health with a fleet tender.

FYI Shack the planetary shield generator is a standalone building that only does what it says, protecting the entire map from bombing runs and orbital bombardment. The smaller shield generator that you can actually see in battle now comes bundled with Turbo laser towers in one building, you didn't see it because you need the base administrative building to build it. So in summary Turbo laser towers and base shield generator is one building now its called "planetary defenses" or something like that and it's icon is the classic Turbo laser icon. The planetary shield generator is just to protect you from aerial/orbital attacks. Please upvote guys so Cpt. Shack can see this.
Just about the invincible dreadnoughts shack, I'm pretty sure you can only build them for a certain amount of time, up until era 3. This may have been said in the video already, but just in case.
Hey Shack, I'm super excited for this new campaign, I've been dying to see you Fall of Republic outside of the original release! Also, just thing I caught in the video, the fleet that attack Empress Teta, was a Techno Union fleet not CIS so think that makes them hostile if they aren't by default. So, I'd probably strike Foerost to clear the Techno Union of the region, also this probably where Empress Teta was attacked from.

Tactical Advise- A combination of a medium factory and an administrative building will yeild a around 10-12 TX-130 to use as garrisons, amazing when used in hit and runs against hostile vehicle.

Fun fact about doing the side missions on the ground like killing the Jawas awards pretty large credit rewards usually 1-2k if I remember correctly or if it hasn’t changed
Finally I get to see one of this campaigns from the start
Maybe that guy who wanted to join the infantry had a point. Foxholes can be cold, but none have ever ejected their occupants into the absolute-zero vacuum of space.
In my opinion I like controlling the core and then taking the southern mid and southern outer rim since geonosis and hypori get lots of droids and production. Plus it’s a good area to start “sweeping” the galaxy from as you can simply leave any back line worlds very lightly defended.
Tell me why only 1:38 into the video I feel like I just got invested my whole life into fighting for the republic, keep up the great work shack!!!!!!!!!

It’s been a year, but I think it’s time I resubscribe, and start watching again
I would recommend reinforcing Mon Cala, Eriadu, and Kashykk as they tend to get hit pretty early on and can be easily turned into fortress worlds. As far as Capital ships go, Don't underestimate the humble dreadnought. they punch way above their weight and a battlegroup of them can be effective support even in the late game.

It might be referencing the theory that once Boba and Omega were created. The Kaminoians used them as the DNA donor for most of the Clones. Jango was the template, but he wasn't needed very much. Only to infuse fresh DNA, but genetics isn't like a Xerox copier. Every copy is perfect and identical or its usually non-viable. Though the Bad Batch and Omega were experiments in beneficial mutations, or at least the Bad Batch was. As for why all planets get a generator, seems to be for a mechanic that has yet to be implemented. Where just having a generator buffs a little all turrets, even the buildable kind.
BUt captain, the old C&C run over mechanic was awesome. The squish sound the units made was hilarious

Finally, a EAW playthrough thats not awakening of the rebellion and brings back the narrative intro's. no offense, but the AOTR playthroughs became really oversaturated, so seeing a star wars video thats not AOTR is very welcome news

PLEASE READ THIS
I can tell you about the new updates
1. instead of upgrading the space station like 1,2,3,4,5 you upgrade from an XQ base platform to the highest tier.
2. LAATS no longer suck, they changed the speed from 3 to 5 making it faster than the annoying droid air supports, and can fly across the whole map with in 20 seconds (I did test this)
3. the influence is the support you have for the senate, if their influence is 3 or lower, they go against all your decisions, and vice versa
4. the three new structures are like you said, secondary resources, if you don't have enough of one, you won't be able to build ships, the industrial one gives you parts required for ships, but lowers the food one, food is one that is required to keep the troops well fed, and the academy trains troops
5. each ships has a troop count, that amount is deducted from your total every time you build that ship, you can continue increasing this number by building academies
6. everything is pretty much the same as last time
7. instead of every cone dropped is the same group as their jedi leader, the jedi just spawns in clones and sometimes other heroes
8.each clone group now has a teir, the lower the number, the stonger (the 501st is teir 2 and the 212 is teir 1 for a preference)
9. you need to buy a senator's office to build ground troop bases and turbolaser implants
10. you buy turbolasers and the shield at the same time
Oh god I wish I had those intro making skills those cinematically make me so hyped

This is gonna be awesome!!! The galactic civil war is always cool but The Republic separatist war I always found more interesting.
# strategy /When you’re doing space battles you can get your pathfinder to position itself behind astroid fields and any defence forces will come forward and most of the time they split up then you can pick a side of the astroid field to attack. With this strategy you can take on slates almost twice your size👍
