I've never used drone to drop bait but I wonder if on windy days or when you only have one person if in addition to moving back the rod from the drone of you could throw some wet sand on the first 10 or so feet of line coming from the drone to help hold it down out of the way when you're launching it.

So Blane so why put the sand spikes in the water instead of dry beach. The water does wash out the sand around the spikes. I know you have good spikes that are sunk into the sand but why chance losing setups. I know your the expert but I have to ask why.

The drone itself was probably a hit with your clients, lol. Now that you can put baits out as far as you want, will you start to target more species? I was given a small drone for Christmas. I'm using it to scout the beach from the parking lot. That should help me run and gun after bait fish and find those holes and rips after these storms change the structure.
