  • This was a requested one over on Patreon, so thank you for that! It's a great film, especially coming from someone who loves the Back To The Future trilogy and this reminds me of the third one, mainly because it's a Sci-fi / Western.
It's interesting they didn't add that Lyle Swann finds out he's back in time and coming to terms with it. Also, I love the twist. It caught me by surprise!
Lastly, I didn't realise when filming or editing, but Fred Ward passed away in 2022. He is brilliant in this role and it's funny seeing his amazement and puzzled look at other people not knowing certain things he says.
    Rest In Peace Fred Ward.

    Love this film!
It's 80s Sci-Fi cheese at its best! It is just a fun popcorn movie with the late great Fred Ward doing his usual fantastic job of entertaining the audience. This film did not get its due and is mostly forgotten then and today because of the Sci-Fi B-movie inundation back in the 80s. But I still remember it fondly.

A couple of other great Fred Ward films are "Remo Willams the adventure begins" and "Prince of Pennsylvania" which also features a very young Keanu Reeves.

Cool time travel movie. Another one of my favorites like this one you should react to is The Final Countdown (1980) The U.S.S. Nimitz goes back to December 6th, 1941. It's filmed on the Nimitz. It's like Top Gun meets Back to the Future.

I enjoyed Timerider when I saw it in 1982. It should have been more successful that it was at the box office and be better known now and more easily accessible for potential viewers. Another little known time travel movie is the comedy Frequently Asked Questions About Time Travel (2009) (AKA FAQ About Time Travel), a relatively low budget British film which takes place mainly in an English pub and stars Chris O'Dowd and Anna Faris.

I'll swan. Fred Ward's best film is "The Right Stuff", that's a good movie.

Saw this in theaters when it came out. I don't think it did particularly well, and the company which produced it went bankrupt a few years later so it mostly was forgotten. When I finally saw it on DVD 20 years later the lack of the sliced up boots scene at the end made me think I had made that up in my head. "I'll swan"
