He also bruised his ribs during filming the scene where Indy was trying to steal the truck with the Ark when Indy used his whip to stay with the truck and is being dragged. The iconic ending where Belloq, Dietrich, and Toht died from the Ark's powers, it was Belloq's exploding head that would've gotten the movie's "R" rating, not Toht's melting face (ironically), and they lowered the fire's transparency as a result.

I remember looking at Star Wars on VHS for $79.99 US
That explains why renting movies in those days was big
@@tempestfury8324 I remember when shows started coming out on dvd they were costly too. Star Trek TNG costed $100 a season, now I can buy the whole series for less than $100.
The Indiana Jones Franchise is just a great series of movies. Great job Minty!
No Glasses ? show em off ya star ! What a classic movie ! I remember my mum taking me to see it at Hamilton Odeon, sadly long gone, got replaced by a big box VUE in a retail park.
Tom Selleck would later star his own Indiana Jones clone called "High Road to China". Do that movie Minty!
In that one, Indy actually knows how to land a plane.
There was also a takeoff Magnum: P.I. episode called "Raiders Of The Lost Art."
Raiders is one of my favourite films *ever* and seeing Minty cover it is truly a Treasure!
Minty, you sure are the best at what you do. This episode has got to be my absolute favorite. Keep up the FANtastic work mate!
I love this movie so much. The more time goes by, the better it gets.
Snakes, why did it have to be snakes..
Asps..... very dangerous.. YOU go first :)
Taste like CHIKIN!!
"It's being guarded by top men."
Who?...
@@Tony-dh7mz Top...men!
bezo ?
@@fluffybunny3178
hear no evil
see no evil
speak no evil
I just found out that "Top Men Guy" was also "Stay On Target Guy"!
(aka Porkins, the X-wing pilot)
How cool is that??
My absolute favorite movie of all time.
Me too
Childhood right here true legend love Harrison Ford
I still remember seeing this classic in the theatre when I was a kid. I used to have several issues of the Indiana Jones comic books. Great stuff
I even played the Atari game as well. Graphics weren't great but it was a challenging adventure
We just called it Atari then....none of that 2600 crap😎
I loved playing Adventure in 1980, listening to Dragon Attack!
My friend and I solved the Raiders game back in the day. I felt a great sense of accomplishment! =P
@@tempestfury8324 Adventure dragons ? Oh you mean the colored ducks.
Thanks for giving us something fun to watch during these crazy times!! Minty you're awesome!!!!
I love Minty. His videos are informative, but also makes me want to watch the movies again
showing the Raiders comic just reminded me of my huge collection from the 80s I had to leave behind into manhood. damn you.
"I dunno. I'm making this up as I go."
Fun (and well known) fact: The call letters on Jock's biplane are "OB-CPO", a reference to Lucas' Star Wars characters Obi Wan Kenobi and C-3PO.
In "Temple of Doom," Lao Che's nightclub was called Club Obi Wan.
Jocks place 🍻 is now at Disney Springs in Lake Buena Vista FL. It has a bunch of plane, Raiders stuff...
You caught that too 😆
There are also "hieroglyphs" in Raiders of R2 D2 and C 3PO.
Planes do not have call letters they have tail numbers.
Wow Minty's got eyes?! Lol I adore the Indy flicks! I'll never forget the 1st time I witnessed the melting nazis as a wee lad. Awesome and terrifying all at once!
Good idea showing the old games and comics that tie into the movies, people who were young back then like me really appreciate it.
Best punch sound effect EVER!
Another thing crystal skull overused and over blew. Every punch he threw in that movie had that same exact sound effect.
Hey mint, it’s really good to see your eyes
It’s crazy & cool to see Minty without sunglasses!
Two things:
Raiders of the Lost Ark is my favorite film of all time.
And Minty looks better without the sunglasses.
First agreed
The second disagree with that. 🤔😑.
Indy: "I hate snakes! Why did it have to be snakes??"
Snake: "I hate some dude's balls! Why did it have to be some dude's balls??"
- Robot Chicken
Also "Shakes! Why did it have to be shakes?" from their Young Indy parody
"Snakes. Why did it have to be snakes"?
"Elderly potheads. Why did it have to be elderly potheads"?
Family Guy parading Indiana Jones. 😂
… ASPS !!! ..VERY DANGEROUS !!! ..YOU GO FiRST .. :-/
I love these! Keep up the good work Amigo.
The sheer pop culture references on Minty's shelf in regards to tons of films and TV shows? oh boy, lol. Thumbs up dude!
When you were talking about injuries that Harrison Ford sustained, his knee cap injury when the plane's landing wheels ran over his knee wasn't the only injury he sustained.
