Funny that my BTR7 arrived two hours after this video went live 😂 glad I pulled the trigger after hearing you talk about it previously. Great content, keep it up 👍
Nice, I hope you enjoy it. Thanks for watching!
Dave always has such good B-roll for the intro. It really sets a good atmosphere for talking about enjoying music
Qudelix 5k is severely underrated
With all due respect I disagree - it's a great device dont get me wrong, but when it has a cult-like following in certain communities (reddit for instance) its probably anything but underrated
From what I hear it's a good device. There's just so much out there I haven't had a chance to listen to. Thanks for watching!
I second that , it's like my all in one bluthooth DAC/AMP. I take it with me while on the go and plug it in my laptop when I go home. The app is also amazing with all the tweaks you can do with it.
@@gabrieljy I wrote that because almost no one mentions it in the mainstream and doesn't even consider it while comparing to other devices. It does have a cult like following in reddit but that following itself is in very low numbers. For example, BTR5 is recommended far more than Q5k even though Q5K is objectively a better device (barring look and feel). And it can even outcompete a BTR7 in terms of Features and App.
@@Gizaudio I second the Qudelix 5K. Its versatility is unmatched, a tinkerers DAC. My #2 would be the iBasso DC3 Pro. #3 wins the cost and size to power ratio dongle, the iFi Go-Link
Great picks! I love the BTR7, I have used it almost exclusively since I bought it - like you it took the place of my UA5 as top pick. I have been using the FC6 for about a month now and it too is really nice, I love the analog sound - agreed top pick! On the DAP side I have the Shanling M0Pro and the M3X, however, I just purchased the HiBy RS6 because I was so impressed with their R2R sound and it pairs well with the Empire Ears Odin I just got. As usual, a well thought out and produced video.
Great minds think alike. Lol! Excited for you, the Odin is awesome. Thanks for your support and for watching!
names of your IEM?
definitely a trio to take on holidays! I will also take my trio: the HiBy R6 Pro III, the same Fiio BTR7 as yours, and the Cayin RU6 (so DAP + bluetooth delta-sigma DAC/AMP + R2R dongle), but I'm also thinking about my Topping G5... plus of course 4-5 IEMs... enough for a month away from home!
Nice, sounds like a great trip you have planned. Gotta have options and it sounds like your covered! Thanks for watching!
Muita calma. ah yes, man of sophistication and sheer tastefulness
We talk about sound quality..
If hiby fc6 scored 10/10, then how about hiby fc4? Do you think its worth to upgrade from hiby fc4 to fc6?
Are you planning to review the Hiby R6 Pro II? I recently purchased this DAP and really think it punches well above it's weight. I'm considering selling my Gryphon because of it.
Can i ask what is your favorite dac amp setup for sensitive iems? I'm a newbie, and i'd like to buy a dac amp combo that has no audible noise floor with sensitive iems but also has great sound quality
I'm sure you've been asked before, but where did you get that cabinet that you store your devices in?
Can any of these portable dacs drive akg k701 headphones? thanks
Another interesting video thanks
Thank you!
Ifi audio go link vs audiocular (or) epz tp20 which is best?
I would love to hear your thoughts abou5 HiBy vs the Dragon fly Blue
Is that fatfreq ref pros on the right.
If you can only choose 1 source, which one do you prefer, the hiby fc6 or Fiio btr7 ?
Oh man, that's a tough one.....BTR7. It's just more convenient and still sounds great.
what is your favourite IEM?
Ifi go link for 58 euros is a steal, little great dac/amp for iem
been using btr7 for half a year with my selections of iems... cant find any cons except for the battery life and case design 🤣
Will need a renewed version of budget dacs pick
Its on my to do list for sure. Just working on getting new stuff for comparison.
@@Gizaudio I am looking for A & K SR35 reviews. Haven't seen any non-dealer reviews.

The BTR7 took the place of my ifi Gryphon after it became a $600 brick one month out of warranty which sux. While the Gryphon was a fantastic device with very impressive sound and specs, since I have gotten the BTR7 I really don’t miss my gryphon at all. I love the fiio app that works in tandem with the BTR7 too. You can do a lot in the app to customize it and make it your own so to speak.
Oh wow, that's an expensive brick. I didn't have any issues with mine but only had it for a short time. Very powerful and transparent. Really a bummer about yours. The BTR7 is awesome and the Fiio app is great and has only gotten better with updates. Thanks for checking out the video!
As far as the fiio app goes, I had the BTR 5 the app and Bluetooth connection were so disappointing. I'm using Android (Samsung and OnePlus) and regardless of which phone I used, the app just did not perform as well as expected. Are you using Android or iPhone? Did fiio update the app since the BTR 5? Thanks in advance.
I've stopped wasting money on dongles... Ifi gryphon is the best musical DAC ampli i could meet. I'm literally in love with it driving my woooooooonderful TOTL iems DESTROYER Penon Serial, end game for me.
Shanling H5, Btr7 & Questyle M15 for me.
Whats the name of the intro song? Sounds so good with my Sennheiser IE 600 lol
Lol, it is a great tune. It's called Muita Calma by Martin Landstrom. Thanks for watching!
The only one i use is the Fiio M11 pro that is still good to my ears.
I still use my X5(ii) to my Schiit stack via coax and it runs and sounds amazing. Those M11 are incredible. pretty much all you need.
whats the DAP name?
Ibasso dco6 Best dac I have ever owned. Tin hifi p1max +ibasso dco6+symbio hybrid tips+poweramp music player+nicehck silver plated 4.4 balanced cable =S rank
how does fc6 compares to the Cayin ru6?
Did you find out ??
Why Hiby R2R over Cayin R2R dongle DAC?
Only reason is I haven't heard it or owned it. I'm sure it's great though! Thanks for watching!
@@Gizaudio You should give it a try along with Luxury & Precision W2 if you haven't heard that yet 👍
One of my favourites with iem's is Hidizs S8
Cool, haven't heard that one yet. Thanks for watching!
what IEM you used?
I run a khadas tone 2 pro
What about the Gustard R26?
Love it, and I use it a lot! It's my main streamer, but I was trying to just focus mainly on portable stuff. But honestly, it's a great sounding R2R DAC! Thanks for watching!
@@Gizaudio Great to hear that, I was wondering if the portable hiby R2R was better sounding, thanks for clarifying.
You’ve got too much money if you are making this video. But I do love it ❤
You should make a video about the overrated IEM at every price.
🧢
Fiio Fiio & Fiio
Hiby FC6 is so thic and sexy sounding
I buy rs2.
Such a dirty sound.
Cayin ru6 is much better!
It is not bad, but sound like old gears. It can be so much better detail, slam, doftware, price, etc.
I cant recommend.
Ru6 is an insane devise for 180€ used.
Apple dongle ftw
ye, almost no reason to buy anything more
