- The Palestinian militant group Hamas has fired a barrage of long-range rockets from Gaza at Israel for the first time since January. The Israeli military said at least eight rockets were fired from the southern Gaza city of Rafah, where Israeli forces recently launched an incursion. The army intercepted a number of projectiles. Hamas is classified as a terrorist organization by Israel, the EU, the US and several other countries.

There should be icj ruling to Hamas to halt operation in Rafah! Rafar is so so near to Israel and its projectiles can even reach Tel Avi.
there doesn't need to be a ruling for hamas to stop, since it's already concluded that all terror acts are illegal so there is no need to point out the obvious. they just make rulings for actions that are seen by some as legal actions to determine if they are legal or illegal and in this case the ICJ told israel to stop the genocide on gaza because it's a crime against humanity.

@@sihr07 There is, in fact that's the basis for the framework of the ICC/ICJ. Israel has its own courts, its own investigative framework. If they International court does not think it has done enough, they then act.

This is NOT true. In simple layman's terms, for this media outlet to understand, the ICJ rejected South Africa's request for Israel to halt its military operations in Gaza and withdraw its forces leaving Hamas on its feet and the hostages there.
However, the judges ruled that Israel must immediately stop its military offensive and any other action in Rafah which inflicts conditions that bring about destruction in whole or in part to the Palestinian people.
As that is precisely what Israel is not doing. They are there to stop Hamas.
Perhaps this media outlet needs to bring in some learned reporters, those who actually know what they are talking about.
you can twist those words in any way you want, it's clear to everyone that israel is commiting a genocide on the palestinians and that the court ordered them to stop the offensive on rafah and to stop the genocide.

People think that saying the word "genocide" over and over makes it true. As should be abundantly obvious by now, 8 months later, with the Palestinian population having risen by 140,000 since October 6th .....there is no intention to destroy - in whole or in part - the Palestinian people. The weapons and tactics to do that aren't being used, and 1 kilogram of food per person per day is entering Gaza. South Africa has launched a libellous case on behalf of Iran and Russia to divide the West, and enough people have fallen for it that it's working.
