  • When you can't find FRESH RICE NOODLES, make them! I think you're going to be surprised by how easy these are to make! What I love about these is how versatile they are in stir fry and soup. Cut into any shape/length you like!

    wow! you make it look so easy. I would love to try this if i can find a similar steamer, i have two but they are much smaller and can probably only fit 6" rounds, can you link yours?

      It’s super easy! Just takes a little time & patience. I tested so many batches that by the time I filmed this tutorial, I had an entire system down lol. I love teeny tiny cute personal sized steamers. I found mine at home goods but will link something similar.This is also same size as mine :) amzn.to/3LUQ9X4

    Very cool. I have never seen homemade rice noodles being made, and I have never eaten homemade rice noodles to my knowledge. Thank you very much for making this video and sharing it. They look so yummy after you cooked them with some sauce. Thanks again and cheers.

      Definitely try it! They all turned out great but the overall stability of the rice, tapioca & arrowroot combo was 👌🏽

    Thank you for this!! I’m laos-american and cooking more often now that I have my own kitchen and I’m so excited to try this. Do you have any suggestions for doing it without a steamer?

    • @HouseofXTia

      Unfortunately no. The steamed def is a key component. I hope you add one to your kitchen soon though! Its so much fun to experiment esp in your own kitchen! 😊

    now i see why my rice noodles are soft and delicate cause i made them without arrowroot. still taste good though tbh.

      Next time try it! I think there are several ways of making it. I was just curious with the outcome so I experimented :)

    A lovely recipe. I am sure the noodles are excellent, but this one feels beyond my skill level.

    Great simple recipe. How many serving is the recipe?

    • @HouseofXTia
      @HouseofXTia  Před 2 lety

      You should be able to get 6-8 layers of noodle sheets. I would say this is 2 servings :)

  • @EvaMariposa
    @EvaMariposa Před 2 lety

    Thank you Tia. Not sure if I missed it in the video, but why did you layer the sheets on top of each other to cut them and then separate again? Is it to help in cutting?

    • @HouseofXTia
      @HouseofXTia  Před 2 lety +2

      Hi. You don't need to stack them if you have room to keep them separated but it is easier and to cut them layered together so you get uniform strips. This is also how they come packaged at the market :)

      @@HouseofXTia oh ok thanks for the clarification. I'll definitely try this. Looks fun & relaxing 😊 thank you! 💞
