The result is really nice and impressive Adam. Beautiful seax. Didn't know it is possible to etch with q-tips. Only saw sponges and liquids before. Where they mold with some playdow a basin around the part and throw in a sacrificial piece and then etch. In salt water and a car battery as power source.
The tip isnt efficient. Better with gauze. But its doable. Just takes a little longer. Glad you liked it and got something out of it mate! Cheers

I was just watching Star Trek 2 Wrath of Khan, the villains crew were aboard the SS Botany Bay. 😀. Great job Adam. Really enjoy the guitar tracks too. Remind me of my true home in Hawaii. Still no sticker though?? Best. CF.

Blade looks great but you missed a line in one of the runes the second rune from the tang
Nah its Anglo Saxton runes. Not the elder or younger futhark. So its slightly different
I use a lot of elder futark runes which is angling saxon in origin. I believe the rune you were trying to portray was ansuze which is a vertical line with two v's one above the other touching the vertical line on the right hand side.
