Back in 1972 when Harvest came out many people thought that i was crazy to be playing all of those songs. When Harvest Moon came out when I was living in Germany. I learned every song... again. Thanks for the post and the memories, Anthony.
I always use to think this was a 70's song, but that was because I got confused with the album Harvest which is one of his greats. Love this one. Probably his best song of the 90s
So, out of all the covers I’ve heard you sing this song and probably most if not all NY’s songs your voice is spot on. Of course your playing is also right there as well. I was lucky enough to see NY at Jones Beach back in 1989, just him an acoustic guitar and his harmonica. He commanded that stage, played everything you hoped he would and then brought out Bruce Springsteen for the encore. Pretty spectacular show. I may not agree with his politics but his music has stood the test of time.
In my senior year of highschool, Young released an album called Trans and I rushed to get it. It was his go at electronic music, as was the rage in back then. Most people hated it but I loved a song called Sample and Hold and I liked Hold On To Your Love. He did another version of his Mr Soul and I much prefer the original.
My dad loved Neil young and always had it on his playlists that he listened to in the kitchen while he was cooking dinner. Now the line I’m still in love with you is on his gravestone ❤
You just keep digging at my soul and emotions, that I had during the times when these songs you’ve been playing first came out, and because I haven’t heard them at any time in this century. Ugh!
How did one of our premiere rock magazines: Rolling Stone, get to be so lame? Actually lame in the beginning when they panned Led Zeppelin but they've made so many mistakes. How is this magazine still in publication?
Originality is nothing but undetected plagiarism. This intro is a complete ripoff from an Everly Bros. tune from '62. Called "Walk Right Back". And as far as Rolling Stone Magazine goes, it's only purpose is to line your parrot cage.
As every song ever written will have plaigiarised something from someone else, every song ever written is both 'original' and 'unoriginal'...at the same time.
oh wow, you have a perfect Neil Young voice.I thought it was a backing track for a second, you should do a ton more of his songs.
Such a great song especially the unplugged version from 93 or 94 I can’t remember which

Neil Young's best acoustic guitar part is 'The Needle & The Damage Done'.
Agreed.
This one of those songs that stirs strong memories. Brings back my beloved as though she could still be in my arms.
Your voice sounds great singing Uncle Neil 👌

Neil was my favorite musical artist when I was in my twenties. Harvest Moon came out when I was 22.
I love your passion for these great songs.😎🏆🎸🎤🎼🎶🎵🎵🎶❤
Thank you for bringing back so many of the old-style tunes. Stuff guys like me used to play and enjoy!
I was going through a divorce when this album came out and this album will always remind me of that time.
Sad times.......
I hope you're doing better than last time man ❤️

I’m way too young to have appreciated him, when he was first getting big. I wish I could’ve seen him when he was younger man.

WE DON'T CARE FOR NIEL YOUNG
Young is so overrated.
Or you can just play it in standard with a D, D6 and a Dmaj7.
