Towards wrestling's later years on TV we used to see this MC regularly. I used to see him at my local venue all the time - his name was Gordon Pryor and he often used to referee matches. he was very tall and agile but no wrestler! Kid McCoy was agile - he was the son of Ben Boothman (King Ben) who often accompanied him at bouts being on the same bill. In 1987 McCoy took the lightweight title from Steve Grey. Another referee I recall though I never used to see him much - Ken Joyce. He was another great ex-wrestler. Blackjack (real name Robert Windham) never seemed uo to much (except cheating) when I saw him but sadly died in 2016, aged 73.
“Sort ‘im out Ken!”
