I love the last tip to be patient. I have been getting my nails done at salons for several months but made the commitment to start taking care of my own nails because I want them long and beautiful but also healthy and strong. I know it’s going to take a little time and patience but it was good to hear you say it as well. I’ve seen a few videos that make it seem like an overnight process and that had me a little discouraged so thank you! 🧡

#2 is what I tell all my friends and they look at me like I’n crazy! How do they not realize that, even with a great nail tech, your nails will not be as healthy as they would without the acrylic or gel on them and the tools used for the application?!
Yes! You're absolutely right! Acrylic does so much damage to your nails. There's no way to grow your natural nails long and healthy while wearing acrylics. Sometimes it's good to give em a rest.
Gel extensions and glue are the same additives as acrylic and hard gel ...

why couldn't i get my mom's nail genes. when i tell you her nails grow fast, THEY GROW VERY FAST she could clip her nails and after two weeks they would be a bit shorter than yours and she doesn't care for them as much as I do while I'm here struggling trying to grow my weak splitting nails that never pass this specific lenght

My nails have always grown long naturally. However, in 2019 my nails became weak and would split. I just couldn’t understand what was happening. Though I was pampering them my nails would not grow. Then they took a turn and began growing into 10 beautiful long and strong nails. I realized what was going on. I had started a plant based diet in 2019. It has been over the past 8 months that I began eating meat again. My body needed the protein. What we put in our body plays a good role in the health of our nails.

Yess, apply your oils onto your cuticles.
What to do if you naturally have paper thin nails?
Use a nail thickener as the first layer of your base coat, and minimize water exposure to your nails. You will truly see the difference!
