- Then Andy Williams' wife, Claudine Longet performs her original -- and best - version of Jobim's "Meditation" on Run For Your Life. It was this TV series, singing to Ben Gazzara, that launched her singing career when Herb Albert saw the show, and offered her a recording contract.

I never watched a full episode of Run for Your Life, but I happened to be channel surfing one evening in 1966 when this scene popped up. Over half a century later, her rendition is still my favorite.
ahhhhh, so soft and sweet. I love it. I come back every so often to hear her sing it again. How pretty she was.

I do too, it was a very touching episode. Ben and Claudine had a natural chemistry, just wonderful.
Thought Ben was always so cool in Run For Your Life and at 17 wanted to be like him when I grew up.

@@michaelshiloh787 Mike part of the R4YL story line was that Paul Bryan was a fighter pilot in the Korean War then became a San Fran lawyer. In my pursuit to become like him, I was able to become the "fighter pilot" but passed on becoming a lawyer. 🙂

Nope, she lives a private life with her husband. She has grand kids that she plays the guitar to and sings too. She had three beautiful children from her first husband singer Andy Williams

I don't know French but I've heard that song so many times that it sounds like it. In the version I have Claudine sings it in French and then in English.

David Michael you don’t know what you’re talking about. It was never disputed that she KILLED him, the court and trial were to determine if it was self-defense or jealousy in rage MURDER. She got off. Nevertheless, she did kill him either way.
@@Picklejam08 Claudine said at the trial that the gun discharged accidentally as Sabich was showing her how it worked. That's what I believe. I don't think she should have been convicted or had her career harmed by the tragedy. She already suffered enough by losing Sabich.
