- Full on blizzard while out on the splitboard! The snow has been very good this February in the Wasatch! This was a very fun day climbing on the skins, in the snow, and some not so easy riding, with visibility at almost zero at times! Watch me get blasted by a blizzard on the way up, and surf the deep stuff on the way out of this really fun winter day in Utah!

Thanks Steve! That storm was wild! It went from boot deep to thigh deep in about an hour! Visibility was just about nil, and it was so deep in spots turning wasn’t an option. I did get some amazing turns but was feeling it more than seeing it! Climbing in that storm was challenging! It was good to get out! I’m getting excited only a couple of months and this party will go from snow to trail! Hope you are well and thank you for watching! ⛄️

Splitboarding is essentially XC skiing uphill in the backcountry. It’s pretty fun, but you have to know about avalanches and how to avoid them. It was a wild storm! Thank you for watching! ⛄️

Honestly, with current weather, I am kind of pulling for early spring this year.
It’s been a pretty good month for snow. We surely needed it. Honestly, one of the heaviest accumulation days I’ve seen in a couple of years. It went from boot deep to thigh deep in a couple of hours. Certain spots turning was not an option. But I did get some legitimate face shots on the way out. Visibility was severely tough at times. But a really cool experience to be out in a storm raging like that. Hopefully get a few more before I start backpacking. Thanks a ton for watching! Have a great week!
