- I’ve been making this hot chocolate for years and its one of my favourites. So warming and comforting!
Makes 2 cups
4cm Piece Ginger
5 Cardamon
½ Tsp Black Pepper Corn
1 Cinnamon Stick
3 Teabags
200ml Water
600ml Milk
100g Dark Chocolate, chopped
1 Tbsp Cocoa Powder
75g Sugar
½ Tsp Salt
Gently crush the whole spices and add them to a pan with the water and opened tea bags. Boil on high for 10 mins. Add the milk and boil for another 10 mins.
Strain the tea discarding the spices and tea, and put the liquid back onto the hob.
Add in the dark chocolate, cocoa powder, sugar and salt. Simmer for 5 mins whisking well until all the chocolate has melted.
Taste incase you want a sweeter hot chocolate and enjoy in your favourite mug.

I used to make this as a teenager, except I would just use yogi original tea bags which basically had all of that inside them. This drink really does warm you from the inside out 😋😋
Do you know what tea bags were used here by chance??
@@zachvela4837 My best guess would be a black or earl grey tea
This looks and sounds AMAZING
Finally! I’ve been looking for a recipe for years. Thank you

That looks so yummy. So thick! I’m gonna have to try this one.
I can imagine how hard it would have been to strain it🥺

You made it harder to strain by adding the Coco powder idk what it was !. It will be easy if you strain the tea and add the Coco powder!!..
Yeh
You are like another indian food blogger who makes meggi in Fanta and eats and you mix up chocolate with Tea.
Someone should tell her... 🙄
And it's raining here in India
What tea bags did you use?
Kristīne Zvīdriņa from Latvia 🎉❤
This is masala chai hot chocolate
How many servings does this recipe make??
What makes it so thick?
The mandolin (I think that's what it's called) scared me
U could just strain the chai into new pot and add chocolate.. easier that way
But it's gonna be spicy 😢
Where is it snowing
