I'm so glad someone (you) posted this. I've been on the fence of shelling out the big bucks for one of these for my sim and was worried if there may be stretching issues and such but wow, this looks flawless and gives an amazing amount of real estate. Hopefully the 21:9 format will drop in cost over the next few years. This is literally a game changer for those who like to fly the 3D virtual cockpits. Have you tried any 2D panel sets yet and if so, how do they look? Would love to see a follow up video with some undocked 2D stuff. Thanks.

I was a bit apprehensive myself but it's such a great format for simming, I couldn't go back to standard def now.

Thanks for sharing! Are you using 34inch ultrawide curved screen? I am thinking about getting one, but I am a little bit worried about potential loss of vertical space, i.e. I like to see a yoke in a VC as well. My current monitor is an old 19inch TFT panel.

Nice video man! How do you feel fliying with an ultra wide monitor? I wanna buy the acer predator x34 with an i7 6850k and 1080 SLI to maximize the graphics and add ons. what do you think? I want my simulator to be as smooth as possible & realistic

I have been thinking of buying an ultraHD monitor for a while. Is the drop in FPS worth it for flight sims? Or were you using FRAPS and did that have an effect? On a standard 16:10 ratio on a high end PC, giving up 60 FPS in P3D is what I am wrestling with!

I used Shadowplay to record. Using the PMDG 777 in cockpit my fps rarely goes above 20fps. The frame hit for going from HD to UltraHD is very small if the gfx card can handle it. My frames stay roughly the same switching between HD and UltraHD.
