I feel I should mention that in the UK we rarely use canned laughter - 99% of the time it's a studio audience, so it's real people laughing at things they actually find funny. Whether or not you like a studio audience laughter track, that's up to you, but be safe in the knowledge that it's real people.
It’s hard to tell the difference between canned laughter and real laughter. It was weird but didn’t ruin it.

This was obvious before he became party leader, as he had already pledged to uphold the demands made by Corbyns critics. Ever since then he has continued to use false accusations of anti-semitism to attack the left in the party, and anyone else who expresses socialist left wing views or is even remotely critical of Israel. He and his goons haven't even been secretive about it. I'm amazed people have taken so long to realise this to be honest.

I get the argument but look at how many votes Labour got in 2017 vs 2015 and 2010.
In Starmer’s defence, it isn’t as simple as yes or no to a wealth tax. Other options could be an increase in capital gains tax, higher dividend tax or new tax rules for second properties. But yes, he doesn’t get a very clear message across here, sadly.

@@221b-Maker-Street I think that goes without saying. The main point is that there are different types of tax, and a wealth tax is one specific type. A wealth tax is static, while, say, a capital gains tax is a dynamic tax. There's a big difference.
@@221b-Maker-Street Most limited companies are small. The Directors taking their income from dividends after they're paid corporation tax on the profits. These people start business at a risk to themselves and make up a large proportion of GDP. This tiresome and flawed agreement to raise dividends tax would just screw hard working people how are already paying more than their share. You have no idea what you're taking about.

Laughters aside and back to reality. À wealth tax would mean he would have to tax himself or his family and all of his investors and benefactors... and we cant have that now can we? Heaven forbid the billionaire should have to pay there share. How would the government afford there luxury lifestyle? Maybe Starmer isn't as bad, but it's the same reason why the Tory wont do it and actively do the opposite. Scamming the poor will always be the first option to taxing the rich.
