I head out to the woods to cook up an awesome campfire breakfast at the bushcraft camp. Using the new firepit i put together a week or so ago, i cook my first bushcraft breakfast, and it turned out great. First, i get down to camp and saw up some wood to use for my fire. Splitting down that wood with an Gransfors Bruks Small Forrest Axe and my Chris Griffith Puuko, i began to build up my fire. To my suprise, i failed the first time due to a lack of small kindling. So, i try again and get the fire going.
For this episode of cooking breakfast in the woods, i made a few pieces of bacon then used the baon grease to cook up some cubed potatoes, green and red bell peppers, garlic, and wild onion. Cooking in a cast iron frying pan for the first time was great. It cooked the food evenly, and was a great time.
It was also nice to get to use my new countertop/cook station at the Bushcraft basecamp. Bushcraft cooking doesn't have to be sloppy and unorganized now that i have a nice area to prep food and eat after the cooking is all done. Bacon, campfire smells, birds chirping and great weather... what more can i ask for. I hope you all enjoy watching this video as much as i enjoyed making it.
Thanks again, and stay safe everyone,
Scrambled O

Hello all, i always try my best to make good, enjoyable, wholesome content that is kid-friendly. In this video, during the editing process, i missed a word. Its quiet enough where my speakers didn't pick it up, but loud enough someone pointed it out to me. I am really sorry guys. Tell your kids, i am a fool and make mistakes like everyone else :-(
Potty Mouth! Potty Mouth!
@@LGSkywalker82 hahahahaha
It’s ok my wife swears a lot.
Nothing like cooking a meal and have it come out just like you thought it should look and taste unless you do it over a campfire then it's the best!!!keep doing what you do O!
Scrambled O 😂 it’s all good!
The fact that you made the ENTIRE BREAKFAST without eating the bacon is by far, the most impressive thing I've seen you do. I mean, ppsshh, I eat 3 pieces of bacon while I am still making the rest of my bacon. Another awesome video, sir!
Hahahaha ain’t that the truth
@@ScrambledO FOR REAL, THOUGH! I'm sittin' here watching and thinking, how is he NOT EATING THE BACON!? And I'm like, do you even bacon, Bro? It could be noted, I'm about 45 pounds over weight so my nutrition plan could probably use some tweaking.
Only three? You're a better man than me!
@@asmith7876 I know, right?
Please click subscribe if you enjoy the videos and be in the lookout for a new video soon with a cool camp project I completed recently.
Love how almost all your equipment is food relatable
project idea for your camp kitchen. Build a roof frame for a tarp over your table to give you a dry space to eat and prep!! Love what you have so far!
10:22 That was the most honest bushcraft youtuber moment ever
Yup glad you checked in. Had a stressful morning but all better now. Thanks
thank you for showing the small failures! love how human you are

@@brewmule6799 no way dude we like him just the way he is bro.
clownkiller0629 Dude, go buy a dictionary and look up the word sarcasm. 🤦🏻♂️
Watching after a nice dinner cooked by my wife but still salivating. Fire smoke, bacon, onions, coffee on a cool morning in the woods. Yummm... Nicely done.
The very best bush craft youtuber! By far! I’ve watched them all for the the past 11 years, this guy is #1 🤟🏻
the simple satisfaction of watching you cook and eat bacon in the woods and say lookdatbo!
You have become quite a woodsman there Mr. Scrambled O , keep up the great work, please don’t forget to carve every chance you get. I,m 81 and carve every day. God bless buddy🇺🇸
It's so enjoyable seeing you enjoy yourself. You put a smile on folks face. God Bless You ❣️

Mr. O you sir are marvelous. Thank you for this entertainment.
Really like the fact that you admitted the fire went out. We’ve all been there!
Happens more than I’d like to admit! Thanks for watching
That Bird was having a good laugh, till O showed her who's the smartest bird of the forest.😁
Ace Breakfast and Bacon turned out perfect. 👍
..very nice, pleasantly refreshing as spring should be!
Thanks, Martin!
Scrambled O - keeps it real once again. Camp looking solid!
No bacon was lost or harmed in the filming of this. Just eaten mmmmm looks good !
Everything bagel seasoning+ eggs= awesome
I'm lovin that bushcraft table. Great place to prepare food, get video shots, even do bushcrafty stuff.
My dad always says, you can never salt potatoes enough. Maybe he was right. There is a channel called Far North Bushcraft that he made some tongs from his spoon and fork using a small rubber tube that the ends would fit into. Then he bent them at the tub and had instant tongs. Great video, looked delicious.
you sure know how to make a person hungry- great video, stay safe.
Thanks for the recommendation Martin. I hope when all this is over you can meet up with those crazy 😉 Canadian people again. Stay safe 👍🏻
I hope so too!
I’m thinking the ultimate video would be scrambled o and camping with Steve.
10:31 That bird's a total jerk, bro. You never giggle at a man's flame misfortunes.
I know man totally uncalled for 🤪

Great video Braddah’s, daytime job singing, nighttime Bushcraft Dude!!!🤙🏽🌲🌲🪓🧨🗯
Food looked delicious.
Great job cooking. The fire was worth the effort.
One of the earlier videos you rolled the bacon and skewered it. That’s the only way I’ll cook it now while camping. It’s awesome.
Yea it is. Gonna do that again soon.
Sweet. Nice looking camp.
Great video!!! And the bfast looked great!!!
Oh man, those leek bulbs look just right 😋
Ramps are the best. It's just about time to forge here in MN.
YASSSS I have never clicked a video so fast
Yeaaazzzurrr
So awesome to have you back and doing what you do.....every channel has it's thing and so does yours.
Don't be to hard on yourself regarding a slipped word....none of us are perfect....I am appreciative of the youngins though:)
Looking forward to some work on the shelter:)
Stay safe Mr. O:)
Thank you Shannon I’m very much appreciate your support!
15:10 Totally killing me man, with the personality switch. 😂😂😂😂
Hi Martin: I wonder how many 100's of years man kind has been preping for fires? Yet every time it is done before me I feel a sense of achievement. a promise of comfort, & a feeling of survival. Your precision is showing as you prepare for the fire. but old twigs are still essential. Just about as go a start to the day as could be asked for . Thanks for bringing me along, I needed a break in the woods. Brian 79
I know exactly what you mean. They split wood fire is a rewarding process for sure. Thanks for tagging along on this one Brian
nice camp and meal
I always enjoy your videos...thanks for sharing
Good video can't wait for the next one
Looks delicious brother!!! I appreciate your videos!!!
Oh, a lot of us agree with you: eggs are boring by themselves. Which is why I was so glad to live in Texas, when I finally discovered Tex Mex and alllll they pile onto eggs. My mom is a scratch cook, and we rarely went out to eat, so I was married before I discovered Tex Mex. The only thing missing from your Skillet there, is tomatoes and a dash of hot sauce, along with the eggs and you'd have a perfect breakfast burrito... refried beans and cheese would be optional.
However, what you had there is a Midwestern Hash- if you substitute a ground style meat for the bacon. Whether that meat is a Breakfast sausage, a ground smoked sausage, or traditionally- they would use a minced corn beef. Mix the meat up with the veges and serve. They would use the minced/ground meat to make that go farther amongst the more plentiful, and less expensive veges.
The grated potatoes is more of a German influence in our cuisine. The Cubed Hash Browns is more of a Southern US influence.
Awesome Man!
That's some good eats!!
That looks Delicious.
It was the bomb. 😀
"Elite bacon." Im going to borrow that at camp!
the bird said that food look BOMB lol
Very nice and relaxing. Nice breakfast. Bacon is always good!
Oh my gosh that made me hungry. Peace and good fortune and good health to you and your family.
Why thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed this one as it was a good one to film
Awesome meal! Love the cook/ prep/ bar top table! Thanks for a great video!
Thanks buddy. It’s super nice having it. 🤗
Wild Leek soup recipe from my 11 yr old daughter Tula.
3 large handfulls of wild leeks
2 TBS freshly chopped garlic
1 TBS salt and pepper each
3 large white potatoes, diced
1/2 large white onion, diced
1.5 cups heavy cream
2 cups chicken broth
Sautee garlic and onion in 2 TBS EVOO
Add 1 tsp salt to sweat the onions
Add chicken broth
Add potatoes, let simmer 15 mins
Add chopped leeks
Cover and simmer 5 mins
Add salt, pepper, heavy cream
Take off heat, blend with immersion blender until smooth
Test for salt and pepper
Enjoy!!
Yummy yummy, i need some in my tummy! 👍👍
This is exactly what I needed after a long crappy day of being “essential” lol. Thanks for sharing bro, enjoyed watching as always!
Beauty. You turn edibles into delicious and eye appealing food. So glad you are back outdoors documenting your enjoyment with us!!!
Another excellent video burned in my memory bank
Never disappointed, your videos are perfect and they make me hungry. I can almost smell that fire and food cooking. Cheers!!
Thanks Steve! I guess next time I make a cooking video watch it while you eat!
@@ScrambledO lol ya great idea!!
Looks delicious my friend
Loving the cooking station and new fire pit!! So awesome 😎 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 loving the long videos too!!
excellent video man! I could get down with that meal!
Great job brother looks amazing
Thanks Chris glad you enjoyed it
Be safe and well my friend!
Thank you Maria!!! You too 😀
Looks delicious!!!! Thought... next time, try the pivot and cordage swapped, so you squeeze the tongs to close them. More natural to use. May want slightly smaller/springier branch.
Dude - you should make a wooden stool to sit on ( for the bar / counter top) that’s a nice one day project video!!
Great video once again good sir! I love watching all of your videos! Keep em’ coming!!
Very good vid!
The tongs where genius, but then again all you needed was two straight pieces of sticks to make chop sticks in which i seldom times use to cook with. The videos are nice; keep up the good work.
I love the editing man! It's getting real good
looks good man. I think you should build some walls for the shelter of yours. Maybe even a raised bed in there. I like your set up so far.
Love the intro and the music by Legendary Clint. Awesome to see the kitchen counter in use and even a little wild foraging. Great video, O!
Damn! That looks real good. All is well, take care.
Thank you for watching Quinn stay safe!
Nice job! I Love your videos anyway. I love how you explain things in terms that are easy to understand and entertaining at the same time. I could almost taste that perfectly cooked bacon!!! The potatoes, peppers and onions were ,well, quite simply awesome! Can't wait for the next one. Lots of love from Nova Scotia!!!
Dude, you are really playing to my emotions. To see you out there foraging is awesome. I have been wild foraging for fungi and wild edibles/medicinals for quite some time. I guess bushcraft, hiking, and camping is kinda what got me into it, seems to go hand in hand. Used to put wild garlic or onions in fresh caught fish or squirrel. Me and my buddy used to do that quite a bit on our 2 week camping excursions every year. I like taking our eggs fresh from the chickens, adding mushrooms, diced tomatoes, peppers, onions and diced taters, sometimes ham.
Going to go try my hand at finding some morel mushrooms this week maybe I can mix it up and try something like that!
Great video . I really enjoyed, breakfast looked good .
Thanks for sharing
ATB Jimmy
Thanks Jimmy it was mighty fine tasting!
Love the bar , only thing missing is a half gallon of Jim Beam , a few Cokes and some horse duvers ,( summer sausage , cabot cheese ) and crackers and a drinking light. lol
Yeah, some horse dovers. Mmmm
make a bushcraft barstool to sit at your countertop :)
Great video bro!
Thx Tom 🤗
Been following along for some time now and wanted to say thank you.... your effort is impressive. Cameras dont just set themselves lol... you do so many re-sets it really makes for a great presentation. Sooo.. thank you!
Nice touch on the wild onions bud....processing wood w/ a nice sharp axe or hatchet like that is one of my favorite things to do, theres even something to be said for watching other ppl do it as well.
Thanks buddy. Yes, it is a nice way to cook a meal. Feels like you actually accomplish something when you start from scratch.
Best bredkefast.
It was magnificent 🙂
