Bushcraft Cooking - PERFECT STEAK & Mashed Potatoes In a Sleet Storm

- Scrambled O, campfire cooking a PERFECT strip steak out at the basecamp, during a sleet storm. Add into the mix some mashed potatoes and you are looking at a pretty good meal!
In this video, i hike out to the bushcraft basecamp and do some outdoor cooking. First, i saw up some dry wood that is off the wet ground. Inside the shelter, i process the wood down to smaller pieces, ideal for building a fire. After a few minutes of letting the fire burn down, i cut up the potatoes and put them in my zebra pot. I cooked them for about 20 minutes. Then i use the leftover coals from the fire, to cook up my steak. I season it up and let it cook for about 7 minutes a side.
Next video, i hope to get back to work on the campsite. Dealing with a bit of an injury at the moment, so i hope you can enjoy the cooking video.

Used to watch your vids religiously. I was finding ways to be out doors, camp, experience life. Covid hit and real life obligations kept me in town on the weekends. Slowly but surely camping vids fell out of my recommendations. Covid stuck around, had a feeling of being boxed in. Depression set in. I have have immensely supportive family but feeling stuck in my own head has always been a hurdle for me. My wife and I are making time to backpacking soon, and lo and behold I rediscover how much I love your vids. Thanks for putting good vibes out there, man. They aren't unnoticed.

Glad to see your back my friend!!!!a little tid bit of advice that I do anyway..... when I go out to the woods and make mashed potatoes I just bring a chicken bouillon cube heat up a cup of water and make chicken stock and use that instead of milk they turn out awesome!!!! Just try it I promise you'll never tell the difference and it's so much better for you than milk
