Is it just me but why the modding scenes of cs became so limited after counter strike source.Also why the modders cant do some basic mod for zombie escape like a flashlight,newer reload animation,better soldier character instead of this futuristic character and better level design.
Hell i thought the entire zombie scene was dead after source, they don't seem like they compare to the good old source ones like helmsdeep
idk much about coding but i heard they change the coding language or something similar so the coder start from 0 again
Hi my friend your answer is, Valve Restricted People/Players from using custom weapon models(including custom animations) if you use them for your server you will be banned, this limited CSGO way too much and later when they update the game it usually breaks some mods many modders gave up on CSGO and CS2 has so many issues I've never seen a CS game have this amount of problems with Community Mods/Servers on Release.
Facts. CSGO zombie was always trash. There were so many outstanding custom zombie servers on CS:Source (also owned one). Valve finally needs to fix their greedyness and make CS:Source for free.

Counter strike source has better than this zombie mod. Zombies can be shot back with headshots. But zombies in CS2 are too OP
