To give you a hint about both bands: Electric Callboy has more harsh vocals in generall whilest the instrumentation is much softer. With BABYMETAL, normally, it's the otherway around. Oh... And BABYMETAL is one of the musically most diverse bands I know. They, alsways, like to experiment and therefore don't get boring!

Here's the list of live performance clips usually safe to reacts without any filters so you won't need to rely on live compilations, there might be some exceptions:
    - Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!! live at Legend 1997, SuMetal 16th Birthday in 2013, they got MV of this and is fun, but live is a blast.
    czcams.com/video/LNFiDWJh2FA/video.html
    - Akatsuki, live at Budokan 2014, this is a SuMetal solo.
    czcams.com/video/g2372C5PJLM/video.html
    - Megitsune, official MV is my first recommendation but is usually blocked if you don't put filters, so if you want live and safe to react, check it out Budokan 2014.
    czcams.com/video/dU38CYkpBvI/video.html
    - Akatsuki Unfinished Version, SuMetal solo again but with only a piano behind special performance at Legend 1997.
    czcams.com/video/nwsinmxTxbo/video.html
    - Babymetal Death, live at Legend 1997, this is the big finale, you're gonna blow your mind with this one.
    czcams.com/video/jRc9dbgiBPI/video.html
    - Catch Me If You Can with Kami Band intro live at Budokan 2014.
    czcams.com/video/ng8U_j0gpLI/video.html
    - Ijime, Dame, Zettai live at Sonisphere Festival 2014, sometimes the official live MV isn't so friendly so you know what to do.
    czcams.com/video/Ro-_cbfdrYE/video.html
    - Rondo Of Nightmare, with Mischiefs Of Metal Gods Intro live at Budokan 2014, another SuMetal solo but way different than usual happy songs.
    czcams.com/video/8WBDiLMNZcE/video.html
    - Doki Doki Morning, official MV, their very first song and MV full of kawaiiness, usually is safe to react so try it, if you want a live performance, this is the first proshot version with the Kami Band live at Legend 1999 (YuiMetal and MoaMetal 14th birthday).
    czcams.com/video/BSjv9OYtWZ0/video.html
    - Uki Uki Midnight, this one is a follow up to Doki Doki Morning but way different sound, this is the PV, is super fun but the sound isn't so great but at least is live.
    czcams.com/video/Yj-UQIlqsIQ/video.html
If you want better sound with the Kami Band, then live at Budokan 2014 it is.
    czcams.com/video/ESzY9dL613Q/video.html
    - Onedari Daisakusen, live at Legend 1997, this is a Black Babymetal song, is a subgroup with only YuiMetal and MoaMetal.
    czcams.com/video/1dT1ywYR5So/video.html
    - Iine! again official MV hits way better but if you want live, here live at Budokan 2014.
    czcams.com/video/5sCvYVNeD0w/video.html
    - Karate live at Download Festival 2016, "kitsune6001" got this with a short interview intro.
    czcams.com/video/FKOL6v3Md2c/video.html
    - Road Of Resistance live in Japan official live MV, be careful with the blocked by putting some filters just in case.
    czcams.com/video/zTEYUFgLveY/video.htmlsi=BsVOSExS25Qndy1H
    - Kimi To Anime Ga Mitai - Answer For Animation With You, live at Budokan 2014, not sure if it's still safe, so try some filters, if is audio blocked try to mute or just cut the parts.
    czcams.com/video/M8FKumvh-w8/video.html
Here's a song you can find at Babymetal Reactor Resource (BMRR), a helpful place to get watermarked logo clips of the original live version to curve the annoying algo.
    - GJ! live at Wembley Arena 2016, another Black Babymetal song.
    czcams.com/video/Hg0Rylcg8F0/video.html
This is BMRR short vid to follow instructions and get the spreadsheet with the full list.
    czcams.com/video/q40VmTHSh4c/video.html
And here's a BM guide (the long one).
    czcams.com/video/aIb2xEthdSg/video.htmlsi=EnEYU4nN3tuiY3WL
There's a beginners guide at "Briaghh" called "So... What is BabyMetal?" is more short and with some fair update until last year unlike the other one with full updates till this year.

Loving the vibes and the nails; I remember painting my nails with my wife for my first BABYMETAL concert; the TSA agent said he liked them and I was like “Alright, I see you my man.” 😎
I am excited for you discover more of BABYMETAL. While the vibes of this song definitely match the vibes of both bands, I can assure that BABYMETAL is a proper metal group; just check out the live version of BABYMETAL Death on BABYMETAL’s CZcams page to see how heavy they can get.

Welcome to the Foxhole and the wonderful world of happy metal that is BABYMETAL! 🤘🦊🤘
    Babymetal are:
Suzuka Nakamoto/Su-metal - Angel of Song. She has the ponytail and is the lead singer.
Moa Kikuchi/Moametal - Angel of Love. She had the heart-shaped glasses and blows the kiss in the club.
Momoko Okazaki/Momometal - Angel of Joy. She is the doing growls (Momo-monster!) with Kevin toward the end of the song ("ARE YOU READY?" and "EVERYBODY...WE'RE OUT OF CONTROL!" they are subtle, so if you aren't listening for them you will miss them).

  • @rolandkarlsson7072
    @rolandkarlsson7072 Před měsícem +13

Babymetal is much harder than this generally, they have a real metal band as backing band.
This is more like Electric Callboy stuff, they do Party Core, fun stuff with a great vibe mixed with metal growling.
Both bands are well worth listening to. They are both very good.
One thing is that Babymetal started 2010 when the girls were very young, hence the name. So, most videos are from when they were teenagers, maybe 11 to 19. They were HUGE back then and could have audiences of maybe 50.000 people in Japan. Totally crazy shows where the audience knew every move and participated. But, they are starting to grow again and have lots of concerts. Now grown ups then, that is obvious from this video. Still cute. NOTE - one of the girls is not the original one.

Welcome to the Foxhole and BabyMetal's journey 🦊🤘🔥
Wow it seems you're a hardcore Naruto fan, just in case BM got a song called Akatsuki but got nothing related to the anime series.
Unusual song to start your BM journey but is better later than never.
You won't see a group like them around, they're from Japan and they've been doing this since very young age, they barely finish the primary school when started this group and a couple of years later they were rocking out at live shows in front of thousands and thousands of fans, you've seen nothing yet.
Most likely they will be playing this together at FOX_FEST Festival this weekend May 25 and 26 in Japan along with many more artists and bands such Polyphia so can't wait for the live version.
The "hips don't lie" is definitely a Shakira reference.
The "Fu Fu" (or more like "wu-uh wu-uh") part sounds like Backstreet Boys - Everybody female backing chorus and also I think I heard in a K-pop song, not sure which one.
The "push it to the limit" line it could be an homage to Scarface's movie, another post disco, dance rock song with guitar elements.
Btw I thought the second "Are you ready?" chorus was MomoMetal doing the backing growling but they didn't show that, we'll see in the live version.
Love the euro trance elements mixed with metal, they also did it with Time Wave, one of my favorite BM song from latest album The Other One.
There's probably more references but I'm so far away from pop culture nowadays that i probably missing a lot more.
I'm gonna leave in my next comment where to get more proshot clips safe to react if YT allows me to do it.
Next suggestion to enjoy another collab they did recently:
    - F.Hero x Bodyslam x BabyMetal - Leave It All Behind official MV.
    See you next time.🦊🤘🔥

Great reaction! 🤘🦊🤘 Please react to more BABYMETAL!!! BABYMETAL is a Japanese kawaii (cute) metal group (a metal subgenre that they created) that formed in 2010 when the 3 girls were 11-12 years old (yes, they were very young), and since then have performed with, toured with, or opened for Metallica, Korn, Sabaton, Bring Me The Horizon, Dragonforce, Guns N' Roses, Lady Gaga, Rob Halford of Judas Priest (there's a great youtube video of their performance with Rob at a metal award show), and Red Hot Chili Peppers (there is a youtube video of them performing Gimme Chocolate with RHCP, as well as with Korn, and DragonForce), to name a few of many. They have performed at large metal events/concerts in front of 65,000+ skeptical metalheads in Europe (Download, Sonisphere, Glastonbury, etc), US, and Asia. They are the first Japanese band to perform at Wembley arena in the UK. Also, 20+ awards have been given to them. They have 60+ songs and each one is different from the other, so I hope you give the other songs a try. By the way, they have some really great heavy songs too, and I hope you like guitar solos, as well as bass and drum solos, like I do, because they have them too. Also, they released a new amazing album last year and they just finished a world tour where they had many shows here in the US. They also recently released a new music video for their song called "Metali" that features Rage Against The Machine's Tom Morello and they are featured in an epic live in Japan performance video for Bring Me The Horizon's "Kingslayer".🤘🦊🤘

I think plenty of people have given you some good songs from Babymetal to react to. Each song is uniquely different and their discography has a history going all the way back before they were even teenagers so it is a journey for sure in seeing how much they have changed and grown. I’m sure once you start reacting to them the fanbase who follows reactions will educate you more on the band. I personally would recommend you check out their more recent song Metali featuring Tom Morello. Also their other recent collab they did over a month ago called Leave It All Behind with two huge Tai artists, Bodyslam and F. Hero. The song itself is an F.Hero song on his channel. The only reason I recommend these two is just to get a good idea of the current iteration of Babymetal before looking back into their history.
Some good Electric Callboy recommendations are some of their well known singles you will see when looking them up. Hypa Hypa, Tekkno Train, Pump It, We Got The Moves, and Mindreader is a good song of theirs on a more serious side. Their older material is a bit more metal but doesn’t quite hook people as much as their more recent rave stuff which is what really made them blow up recently.

BABYMETAL is a mix of J-pop and metal. The vocals and dance are Idol J-pop, but they are backed by a band that plays every genre of metal from heavy EDM like this song to power and thrash metal and even death metal. On average, BABYMETAL goes quite a bit heavier than Electric Callboy.

New to both?! Wow. Both of these groups have been around since 2010 and similarly are about smashing contrasting genres together. Electrical Callboy combines EDM styles with Metal while BABYMETAL smashes together J-pop idol music with Metal. Neither group fits into conventional Metal categories. Musically BABYMETAL touches on many sub-genres of Metal. Electric Callboy, since their new singer joined, is a little more consistent in sound though goes through several styles of EDM. Welcome to the weird and wonderful side of Metal.

Thanks from Japan 有難う💛。And don't worry. I am a big fan of BABYMETAL and Band-Maid, both.🤣
I fortunately witnessed the live debut and the second performance of RATATATA by BABYMETAL and Electric Callboy together in the two-day Fox_Fest on May 25 / 26 in Japan. Fun, happy, exhilarating, bubbly... Those words I could think of, as you can imagine. The song was played in the BABYMETAL's setlist in the festival. So the band in the back of the girls and Nico / Kevin was BM's West Kami Band in place of EC band that played in this MV. On this 50:50 collaboration basis, that was great, too. The interchangeability between the two versatile bands is good. EC boys can join BM concerts and BM girls can show up in EC's worldwide 😍
Is it just a coincidence that the two bands are to perform on the same days in the same places in several European festivals in June ?
(Just FYI, BABYMETAL also performed "Brand New Day" with Scott and Tim from POLYPHIA in the festival. That was amazing, too.)

Really unique that someone doesn't has any knowledge of any of them Since the sense of most collabs is to get some of the other side into your repertoire.
Yes and now, Momo can growl and she will growl but in this area it sometimes requires detective work to decipher who sang what. Su's voice is much to valuable.
She can get through anything. She had once bets with the Kami Band if shecwould get through this. The usual a full grown female voice can go over or under instruments if she likes.

Nice reaction. Not what I expected from Babymetal. LOL Welcome to the foxhole. When it comes to Babymetal leave the expectations behind. And get ready to be surprised. Babymetal songs have become known for their strong positive uplifting messages lyrically speaking. Musically they're a Jpop vocal style on top of a metal base with just about every genre of music in between. They have the same magic blender Electric Callboy has. Drop it in and somehow, they make the combination work. For something early, they did checkout Yava with intro. They don't have the intros on the albums. Which is just one of the many reasons why Babymetal live in concert is better. Even they just think of the album as a calling card. For something newer checkout Divine Attack or Metal! Enjoy the journey through the foxhole and into the Babymetal galaxy of music. The Foxhole is deep and full of surprises
