  • After I changed my rear brakes on my third gen 84 Camaro Z28, I noticed the right rear brake drum and wheel were getting pretty hot every time I drove the car. After checking and adjusting the rear brakes to no avail, I figured the axle bearing was the only other thing it could be. Watch how I replaced it myself (my first time doing this.)

It's 2024, and I can say I'm glad you kept plugging away at the Camaro. You have helped me a TON on my 1985 Camaro. I subscribed the first time I ran into one of your videos. Keep 'em coming!!

You’ve got quite the inventory of 80s classics. Good for you.

one thing I learned Tony on this, if you have limited slip you need to add a tiny bit of limited slip additive to that 80w 90 oil!

Lol thanks for doing this before I did it to my Firebird. That way I can get an ideah of what I have to deal with. Ill find the rest of the info online like how tight to go etc. Like that noisey bird in the background too!

Man - you said it at the very end - when you said "One step forward two steps back the amount of things that go wrong with this car is seeming to be never ending" I have had a 92 RS third gen camaro - for 5 years - bought it for my daughter - it has been given to me - as the amount of things I need to fix never seems to end - hence - axle bearings now - how I found your vid - Just like me - DONT GIVE UP ON IT! Im not! I rebuilt the V6 engine over the winter last winter - now trans is leaking - never ends- Ive had major wins - I reprogrammed the eprom chip - so it runs at 180° now - get ahold of me if you want a fast easy guide to that

It's so true. And it does tempt me to give up, because I can't seem to get ahead. I'll keep at it...for now. Good luck with yours.

lmao, its hilarious to me at the end. I put a new engine in mine and did the brakes. Same issue, then found out my steering box was leaking and now the transmission too. Ugh, its been sitting for years - havent even gotten to drive the damn thing. Just cant find a good enough reason to throw money at it.

Tell me about it! This car is always kicking me in the nuts. Something is always going wrong no matter how much I try.

You forgot to lube the new bearing and the seal. It's going to tear up really fast. A flag on the oil don't make it good !

I did mention lubing it, even though I didn't show it. So it was lubed. The flag on the bottle was a lame joke.
