Regardless of the backpack, this is a pretty impressive build. For simplicity, I would’ve kept to using some servos that could be small enough to drive a gear train connected to the blade. This way, the design would remain intact and self-contained within the gauntlet itself. (As the Codex intended…)

I always thought the 'stealth blade' isn't really that stealthy since its basically a giant spring loaded switch blade. It would probably sound like youre reloading a DEagle while dispatching this thing.
I saw a guy that made one that worked entirely mechanically. Worked pretty much like an OTF knife. Only with a wire and a wheel. The wire had a knot in the middle that you would grab onto and pull to extend it, so you wouldn't accidentally deploy it Edit: The guy's name is Ammnra

Thats one of my issues with this design, not only is it easy to deploy on accident but its controller by a computer, which means its subject to software errors. Any engineer worth his salt will tell you not to have potentially lethal systems controlled by software without either a hardware or mechanical safety. We learned this in 1987 when a cancer treatment machine killed 6 people through radiation poisoning.
I don’t understand how nobody has thought of to use a system like OTF knives, it seems they work pretty well, but activation and deactivation is the tricky part.
he really isnt lol. nothing more than fancy tech to do a task VERY poorly. check out indeeppainreborn (I think thats his name) who has spent a decade or something like it making and refining far better hidden blade models on his own.
I be you could make the system much smaller, single use co2 or the very small thin refillable units that could fit on your arm using smaller higher oressure tubes and valves like a paintball gun, the numatics in medium to high end paintball guns are very small and powerful and also have computer built in controlling how much air is used and have lasers so the bolt doesn't close on a ball. Breaking it before shooting it.
Absolutely! You just need to make sure to remember to stand directly under the waterfall with the backpack unzipped to allow waterwheel to fully power up your blade system. Medieval hydraulics! **See also: Lowrider Cart w/ hydraulic lift/ bounce feature and Von Dutch pin striping.
But it's no longer stealthy and it's simplicity by comparison has been lost. It's nice to look at, but it's less hidden. The gas release is audible and it can malfunction if the system glitches. It still looks cool though 👍 I tend to like everyone's version of the hidden blades

I be you could make the system much smaller, single use co2 or the very small thin refillable units that could fit on your arm using smaller higher oressure tubes and valves like a paintball gun, the numatics in medium to high end paintball guns are very small and powerful and also have computer built in controlling how much air is used and have lasers so the bolt doesn't close on a ball. Breaking it before shooting it.

Absolutely! You just need to make sure to remember to stand directly under the waterfall with the backpack unzipped to allow waterwheel to fully power up your blade system. Medieval hydraulics!

Having a whole back pack kinda defeats the purpose.
An air compressor is not more efficient than a spring system, especially for someone that needs to be nimble and climb lol. Very cool build tho

But it's no longer stealthy and it's simplicity by comparison has been lost.
It's nice to look at, but it's less hidden. The gas release is audible and it can malfunction if the system glitches.
It still looks cool though 👍
