    Because you’re not supposed to hold both the damn volume buttons at the same time lol that’s not how it works. It’s the other way you have to plug it in with the volume down button and the power button and then release that volume down button while keeping the power button pressed after the device attempts to plug-in at that point, and you’ll get an iTunes message google it you’ll get better information promise, please DFU mode is what you’re looking for

    One thing to note is this will not work unless you have an Apple OEM cable.

    This was tricky but I did get to the diagnostic menu. When I started diagnostics it told me to go to Apple Support. And I have no support so a complete waste of time. Dumb. Many devices will run a self diagnosis. Not Apple it seems.
