I have one that is a 9 note and I'm about to purchase a 12 note handpan drum next. I'm bringing this instrument to Baltimore and I want to encourage more people to play this magical instrument.

I strongly disagree. Quite the opposite, music is a universal language that transcends spoken languages. You could say that only a few people can make beautiful music (just as only a few people are great writers) but to say that the masses do not understand music as a language is just plain wrong.
